I discovered a fun fact, which is that 10% of the world's population currently own cryptocurrency which includes Bitcoiners as well. This should be interesting to beginners cause most of them might be worried about investing late but on seeing this they'll realise that they're still early and it's a big advantage.
If there are 10% of people holding cryptocurrency that means not all of them would be Bitcoiners, and also mean that with more adoption Bitcoin has the potential of doing greater numbers like 7 or 8 figures in the future. It's why people should take Bitcoin accumulation more seriously because the little you feel you've accumulated now could turn out to something greater when there's more adoption in future.
Imagine if the numbers increase to like 50 from 10%, everyone should take their Bitcoin accumulation seriously cause there's a brighter future when there's more adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large.

I think advising people to take Bitcoin accumulation seriously because of its investment growth in the future will not take the Bitcoin holders from 10% to 50%, Bitcoin is not the only asset that has the potential of doing very well, in fact some people ar already so comfortable and relaxed with what they are already invested in. Before Bitcoin holders from 10% to 50% then Bitcoin would have to be seen for its functionalities and advantages over the traditional financial system not just another investment opportunity that you should not miss.

I do not think 50% of the people in the world will own bitcoin, but there is nothing impossible about it in the future, although I do not think it will happen. But that is not what OP is only discussing about, it is very certain that more than 10% of people will still own bitcoin later in the future. Many people that are having bitcoin now will still buy more than selling it.

Bitcoin may not be so widespread anytime soon. Bitcoin still has some obstacles to reach people from all walks of life around the world. Its main obstacle is government restrictions or strict laws. Even people who are behind in technology will need a lot of time to reach Bitcoin. But it is not that the number of users worldwide will not increase. Bitcoin's use will expand and its value will also increase. But you will have to wait a long time for what you expect.
It is not important whether we are still in the early stages of Bitcoin or not. No matter where we are, Bitcoin still has a bright future and is within the purchasing range. There may come a time when 1 sats may have to be bought with the current value of 1 mBTC. Bitcoin is still within its purchasing power, so we should buy and hold Bitcoin as much as possible.

How lucky I am to be in this 10%, but the 10% number will increase because it is clear that the popularity of cryptocurrency is gradually increasing. There are many people who first learned about Bitcoin and then they learned about cryptocurrency. As technology develops, people will think about alternatives, if we look five years from now, there would not have been as much discussion about cryptocurrency as there is now, similarly, ten years from now when we search on Google what percentage of people in the world currently use cryptocurrency, Google may show us different results.

I do not think 50% of the people in the world will own bitcoin, but there is nothing impossible about it in the future, although I do not think it will happen. 50% is very delusional. Presently, less than 4%(measured data via transactions and exchanges accounts for 1.3%) of the world owns bitcoin, the less than 4% includes those who hold via exchanges and ETFS. If we go for those who actually own bitcoin via self-custody, then we should be seeing less than 1%. If up to 5% of the world owns bitcoin, the price will surge many times what we're seeing now. 50% of the world cannot even own crypto in 100 years from now and in that timeframe, we can only anticipate that around 7% of the world population have gotten bitcoin exposure whether directly or indirectly. Anyone who wants to take bitcoin adoption seriously will do it regardless of the percentage of the world holding it, it is a personal conviction. Bitcoin has proven itself over and over again, those who get some for themselves has higher chances of achieving success in it in the near future.

It is certainly true that Bitcoin still has some obstacles in its way to reach people from all walks of life around the world, the main ones being excessive price volatility, technical complexity and security risks, central bank recognition and legal hurdles. The number of Bitcoin users around the world will definitely increase as you may know that the total supply of Bitcoin is 21 million and from there almost 95 percent is mined thereby increasing its demand and market value which will indirectly help in increasing its popularity. Bitcoin is still in the purchasing power, in fact one dollar is currently buying more than 1000 Satoshis, so we all should buy and hold as much Bitcoin as possible and invest with long term goals, that requires discretionary income,Emergency funds and hardware wallets that don't have malicious spy chips should be used because those wallets will keep everyone's Bitcoin holdings safe.

You know, it is better late than never. Though we might not gain as much as early investors but there is certainly need to keep accumulating. No body knows what tomorrow holds for us, most early investors expected bitcoin price to increase but they didn't expect it to increase up to the level it is today. Some taught 10k dollars will be the highest it could get but here we are at 80k+ (and even an ATH of 126k).
To wrap it up, I am trying to say the price you see today and think its the highest bitcoin can get might just be the trough in the long run. Keep on stacking my people, even if adoption don't get to the expected percentage, there will certainly be a great bull run that can change your story.

So many new adoption of cryptocurrency may come in the form of buying into ETF or pure mining capabilities using alternate energy sources to save cost. Global monetary expansion is continuous as we see more use case for crypto currency by banks and government sectors and businesses, so this alone would help boost adoption rate without entry phase being an issue to be considered at all.

I dont know how those estimates were made or based on what data, but they are most likely incorrect. 10% is way too high. That would mean almost 800 million people own crypto, which is totally disconnected from reality, imo.
That doesnt invalidate your conclusion, though - even if I personally believe we could never reach 50% of the entire population.

I may have interpreted this particular statement wrong. To own cryptocurrency means to have the permission to keep, spend, and transfer a certain cryptocurrency whenever you like. A lot of people bought crypto without having ownership of it. There is an important distinction between buying cryptocurrency and owning it. That reduces the number to 5% because most folks use exchanges to keep their crypto. Meaning few own cryptocurrencies, but more people manage to buy crypto.

I quite agree with your advice about taking Bitcoin investment very serous, but remember it's almost impossible for everyone to invest in Bitcoin that is why I don't bother myself to look at the rate of the people that is holding bitcoin. even without being told I knew that the rate of Bitcoiners will be quite low compared to the rate of people who are yet to start investing in bitcoin or that doesn't have bitcoin because many feel that Bitcoin is very risky since it is decentralized asset, that is why they are afraid of investing in bitcoin but the thing there is there's no investment that is risky free let's keep the decentralized nature of Bitcoin aside so even though we are going to be scared but at least we should try as much as we could to invest something in Bitcoin so that when others will be celebrating in the future we will be one among them.

When we say that we are still in the early stages of bitcoin, it is not about the statistics of adoption but it about the price of Bitcoin. If less than 10% of the world population owns bitcoin, it's not our business because what is important is that when counting those who owns bitcoin, we should make sure that we will be counted too. The world is large and not everyone will invest in Bitcoin and bitcoin is already about 17 years since its creation but less than 10% of the world population only hold it. The world adoption can reach 50% but it will take many years to achieve that.

This is an indication that bitcoin still has a long way to go to attain that global recognition. Some government bodies are against it because of regulatory purposes and that's totally understandable, but a situation where bitcoin grows to 50% global ownership would be a dream, don't you think? That's more like half of the world population owning bitcoin, that's a crazy number, I must say. Bitcoin would totally become bigger than it is right now, but accumulation should be done out of understanding and precision, it should not be a rushed decision based on public interest and speculations. Bitcoin's adoption is one of the greatest financial freedom man has experienced, Satoshi really outdid himself with this creation.

Adoption is one major thing that we all are expecting and gradually it would be as we may expect of the market. There are people who think that bitcoin would never make any significant impact on human life or maybe they are seeing it as something that may failed one very day. But when you understand where we are driving to, you would learn to always keep doubling your portfolios when there is any possible chance for you to do that.

You might be right cause different report gives different figures but they all range from 7 to 9.5% that's why i said only less than or 10% which is approximated. Going to 50% isn't certain that why that statement was based on imagination but anything is possible in the future, we can't leave out that fact. When we say that we are still in the early stages of bitcoin, it is not about the statistics of adoption but it about the price of Bitcoin. If you notice, I stated that it would be more interesting to beginners, it's mustn't interest you dear cause maybe you're not new to crypto/Bitcoin but there are many that would find it interesting and use it to encourage themselves to do better in their accumulation and holding process.
You're spot on with your analysis, many people still store their coins in exchanges so automatically they're sharing ownership with a third-party "Not your keys, not your coin".

Like you already said, there's no evidence that these 10% crypto participants are all holding Bitcoin, possibly not even up to 3% are holding Bitcoin, I said so because even some people that is assumed to be holding Bitcoin might have lost access to their Bitcoin, however we can agree that Bitcoin adoption has increased so big over the years and it will keep increasing which means that the price will also keep increasing, so even if someone buys some Bitcoin today, the chance that they will still make profit if they can hold it for a long time is very high. At the beginning, most people think it's impossible for Bitcoin to get to $100k but it did, now we can believe that one day it's also going to hit $1M and would be a big profit for those that buy today and can hold until then.

There are certain metrics that must be happening in the nearer future for bitcoin to get that wider spread adoption which could lead to it price increase in the way we're all expecting. A global increase in adoption does also hangs on government policies towards the cryptocurrency industry, if the regulations are more of impediments than integration then we might not realise that large adoption to get that much increments. But still, the value of bitcoin wouldn't remain static on a long term grounded that accumulation persist among bitcoiners.

OP, can you give us a link to the data so that we can confirm it ourselves because there's no prove that 10% of people worldwide are into crypto. However, this is one of the reason why some persons are saying that we are still early in the cryptospace because the number of people that have bitcoin worldwide excluding ETFs is still very small. Keep accumulating more bitcoin with DCA.
