Is this even legal if banks analyze how I spend money and increase fees for me or mark me as a negative or unreliable customer? If bank notice that I daily make purchases at McDonalds, would they reconsider my credit history and force me to pay more monthly, because they would be afraid that I could die sooner (as fastfood might cause me health issues) without paying credit in full. That sound unrealistic and illogical, but start to head towards such future.

Kazakhstan and Kazakh banks have begun analyzing clients' gambling activities and negatively impacting their credit history. The mechanism for this tracking is quite simple: If a person has made six or more payments to casinos or bookmakers totaling over 300,000 tenge in the past six months, their credit history is marked negatively.
Then they will lose their clients. if their only basis is deposits then that is wrong. because when a gambler deposits funds it does not automatically count as losses. For example I deposit $1k and withdraw $1500, that's me winning and that makes me look bad to the bank? Then I should not borrow from them. they should not only use that as a basis, they should look at the real financial status of a person, because even a person who has a good financial status, they also have the right to have fun and gamble, and if they lose that is fine as long as their business is still profitable. Forget about banks they are not helpful, so judgmental.

The mechanism for this tracking is quite simple: If a person has made six or more payments to casinos or bookmakers totaling over 300,000 tenge in the past six months, their credit history is marked negatively. Banks then resort to penalizing the client. For such borrowers, official income is taken into account when calculating solvency, and the maximum debt burden ratio is reduced to 0.25. Thus, for Kazakh gamblers, losses may not end with casino losses. In addition, banks are required to detect transfers to illegal gambling infrastructure and cryptocurrency platforms outside the authorized framework. The government requires a fairly thorough review of payment histories and has a negative attitude toward gambling organizations, although it does not ban them. What do you think about the negative impact on your credit history when transferring funds to casinos? I'm not a fan of loans at all Seriously, it's a good call for banks, and it might help some gamblers quit or at least take it more seriously. A max debt burden ratio of 0.25 works for me, the issue is that once they use this tool, the next change will be way easier. So overall, in this form it looks good enough - not a huge problem for a gambler, just a reminder. But we have to keep in mind that the ratio can be dropped a lot lower.

If we all noticed, they didn't outrightly ban casinos and gambling hubs. The government allowed these establishments to operate, but I see no issue if bank say they won't give less loan score to gamblers—I mean, isn't that logical. If you want to give out loan, you'll have to check properly if the recipient is capable of repaying that loan, and if checking their gambling habit is one of your matrices to determine their eligibility, I don't see anything wrong with it.

You cannot force a gambler to stop gambling or prevent him from enjoying his gambling activities to the fullest because they will definitely, look for other means.
We can stop him from addiction, I think that guy is right. Government is known to have a higher power. They can order the telcos to block access to the casinos but there is still a VPN now that we can use to bypass the restriction given. It is interesting that some normal individual like us, for example our family or gf/wife/kids (still family), has more power than the governments in terms of stopping us. They can only do some encouragement though and at the end of the day, the decision is still within us if we will truly stop or not. I think that the bank may not have taken the right decision or done the right investigation in giving loans to those people who lost everything by gambling by taking loans from the bank. There are some conditions in giving loans, if the issue of giving loans is easily available in that country then the matter is different but in other cases the issues are complicated.
They deserve it if these addict gamblers won't pay them. There are just lenders like that that only care about re-payment and not reason. But maybe they also know the consequences and think cases of not re-paying are only less, than compared to those who re-pay. But here in my country, banks here are difficult. But this can be a reason why loan apps exist and growing. But then a lot still can't re-pay and number one reason would be is how rampant gambling is now and issues along it.

I think this is a really stupid government regulation which unnecessarily introduces chaos into the whole system. Either you are free to gamble or you are punished as a criminal if you gamble. What is the point of creating another layer on top? What is next? Are people going to get sorted by genetic risk of disease and the ones who are more at risk have to pay a higher healthcare insurance cost? Ludicrous.

What do you think about the negative impact on your credit history when transferring funds to casinos?
In my view, normally if the Kazakh government had implemented a regulatory rule/policy on credit, each individual would get a special classification and the assessment of credit cards would be much stricter, if they are proven to make transactions to online Casinos and actively gamble. The negative impact of the Kazakh government's policy if the people of Kazakhstan are proven to be actively gambling, one of which will be an automatic rejection of the loan, that's for sure, from Kazakhstan's financial side, What's more, the credit card has problems with arrears or the credit card is used for gambling, which means the loan limit for the credit card of those involved in gambling is deactivated.

This decision would only push gamblers to offshore/illegal gambling platforms and the authorities know that. But i don't think people would be stupid to fund these casinos from their bank accounts, particularly after the implementation of this rule. Gamblers would be smart enough to gamble in offshore crypto casinos, were they can fund their accounts with crypto, either bitcoin, USDT or others. I don't like the rule, i know the authorities would say it is all about protecting the customers, but i think it is just too much censorship, in the guise of a regulatory framework for gambling.

They could have simply banned gambling if they didn't want people to gamble anymore. This way, they get to keep the revenue that comes in from gambling while discouraging people from gambling. But if the law is upheld, then in the long run, gambling activities will reduce a lot, and they won't get the revenue they are getting from gambling right now. You can't eat your cake and have it too. The fact that an individual's gambling activities affect his credit score doesn't make sense. And there is a flat rate. People who make so much money will gamble more, so if the figure might be high for low-income gamblers, high-income gamblers would be affected a lot. The worse past is, it's six months. Six months is a long time to accumulate your gambling deposits. I believe government should take firm hand in suppressing illegal gambling platform.
This is not even about illegal gambling because, whether legal or illegal, the law affects both. In their view, they are trying to discourage people from gambling, but they are doing it wrong. I don't think this has anything to do with illegal gambling. There are ways they can tackle illegal gambling without affecting players' credit scores, especially responsible gamblers. In fact, this kind of regulation will make people use illegal casinos. If they use non-KYC crypto casinos, it would be difficult for the banks to know.

What do you think about the negative impact on your credit history when transferring funds to casinos? From all indications what the government is trying to do is to control gambling activities which leads to addiction or possibly want to stops addiction but they shouldn't interfere into people privacy because they want to have modesty in gambling, I personally think people are liable for their actions so it's not the best to be clearing transactions history using the banks, no matter what they do to discourage people from gambling those who have been deeply rooted in gambling will still find their way out to gamble, they should be allowed to gamble freely. If this is implemented no wise gambler will fund his online account as they will result to offshore gambling and this is to further encourage illegal gambling in the country. So the best thing to do if they don't want people to gamble is to ban gambling permanently so people won't engage in it.

What do you think about the negative impact on your credit history when transferring funds to casinos? A completely expected move. Banks don’t need unreliable customers. Compulsive gamblers are financially unstable people, compulsive gambling is a disease. And of course, the logic is simple: the more a person gambles, or loses, the higher the risk they pose as a bank customer. I don’t think they’ll restrict his access to his personal savings, but they certainly won’t grant him preferential loans or allow him to spend more of his personal funds than the amount he already owes the bank.

What do you think about the negative impact on your credit history when transferring funds to casinos?
I feel like it is a reflection of the general poor and negative opinion that the leaders in Kazakhstan must have towards gambling because a person's gambling behavior, even though it may reflect a level of financial recklessness or irresponsibility in cases where the gambler is addicted, there are gamblers who regardless of the regular transactions to their gambling platform are still very capable of paying their debt when they get loans, and this will affect them because the chances of there being a stereotype to anyone who gambles even though you do it within the responsible limit is high. It is a move to discourage gambling even without outrightly making it obvious and it could work.

I find it completely wrong when third party is trying to control how I spend my money or try to influence on my decision making. This would be similar as if I would start teaching them how to run business. They could only make suggestions only if I had ticked that I allow them to give me hints or allowed to regulate how I run my money. Gambling should not be an indicitor to tag that person is spending money wrong.

Centralised systems will always remain the same, and their way of excessive control won’t stop for anything. They might use the idea that they are trying to limit how much an individual spends on gambling, which is also another way to decrease gambling addiction, but in reality they are controlling everyone’s financial system. If you don’t want to do things their way, they will limit how much credit they can attach to your record.

I think the governments of those countries are creating a kind of pressure against the expectation of a common man. People will spend their money the way they want to spend it but why should the governments interfere in it? This can definitely be considered as a loss of freedom of an individual. My question is that if I have any debt, I will have to repay that money myself. How I manage that money and where I use it is my personal matter. If the governments want to do such surveillance and based on that they take a decision to stop lending, that is their decision but the opinion and freedom of the individual should never be underestimated. If the governments try to control the gamblers then they can control it by controlling the site or by their laws but if they interfere in the use of money in an individual's personal account then it will definitely be a violation of the limits.

In my opinion, gambling is a much more harmless habit than taking out loans.🙋
Honestly, I wouldn't be upset at all if my credit history was marked as negative. Let me tell you something funny... Typically, the credit history of someone who has never taken out loans is worse than the credit history of someone who has repeatedly defaulted on their loans. Bankers are very negative towards people who don't take out loans. They probably don't like me especially, because I specifically contacted the Multifunctional Center for State and Municipal Services in my city the ban on taking out loans from banks. Because I don't want to take out loans from banks!
So, in my opinion, Kazakhstani gamblers have no reason to be upset about having a negative credit history. Let them gamble for fun and never take out loans! If no one takes out loans from commercial banks, then banks will disappear altogether!💁

Well, according to the reports, the banks just want to enforce a more strict lending assessments and that's to help protect themselves against risky customers that could be addicted to gambling, but I think there is going to be a blind spot for this, it's possible that gamblers could deposit money to exchange as if they are investing in crypto currency, from the exchange they will send to self custody wallets and from there they will deposit to casino or they could send money to someone outside their region and the person will help them make the deposit to the casino they are using. I think it's good for the bank and would also help discourage some players from playing with up to that amount that is stated.

Most banks are putting a flag for transactions done by their customers directly to the casinos. Whether they're deposits or withdrawals, they don't like that type of transaction. I think that they're only doing their job for what's good for their business and they're protecting it. So if they see those activities for their customers, so what for them? they'll just remove them from borrowing.

What's legal and What's against human rights and their privacy don't really matter when it comes to government-related decisions, they make the law and can decide to bend it, especially in Kazakhstan, where they are stricken with gambling and even prevent certain individuals from gambling irrespective of their beliefs anyway as long as you are directly working as civil servant or under military they really don't care about the people's right, centralized system have never cared anyway.

If that is the case then gamblers can avoid sending deposit using fiat. They should consider using crypto where the government won't be able to monitor it especially if the casino is no KYC based casino. This is the reason that no KYC casino have advantage over KYC casinos because government will go through them to track users and their account to monitor transactions there. However, I don't think the government should have a negative attitude towards casinos because they levy taxes on them and generate revenue from them.
