I woke up this morning and picked up my phone to check notifications. While I was scrolling through the notification panel, I came across a Reddit post warming Nigerians.

Out of curiosity, I decided to take a closer look to understand what the warning was all about. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that, the Nigeria government under Bola Ahmed tinubu had signed a medical aid with the United States of America. The US will supply vaccine and drugs worth $3 billion to  Nigeria in aid to help tackle malaria, which is good a initiative, while the Nigeria government will provide $2.1 billion as a counterpart fund.

What shocked me was the condition given to the Nigeria government by the United States of America, that NAFDAC should never attempt to test the vaccines and drugs, what kind of agreement is this if Nigeria cannot independently verify the safety and quality of the medicines meant for his own people?

What amazes me the most is the fact that the Nigeria government under Bola Ahmed tinubu accepted the condition and signed the agreement, what a questionable decisions, especially when the stafty and well being of millions could be at stake, mind you other Africa countries rejected this offer. What do you guys think about this, ensure to read the post from Reddit till the end before replying on this thread.

The US government provides aid for malaria and HIV treatment programs to support developing countries like Nigeria.
Last year, I read the news that the US suspended financial support for HIV treatment programs.
It is not surprising news that the US has also decided to stop aid for malaria treatment programs for developing countries.

I can never advice people to take unnecessary vaccines from them, they do even want what's best for the average Nigerian if they're still making deals with a recognised drug lord.

With Bill  Gates plans of depopulation, one should be extremely careful and watchful of both the foods and drugs you take slowing killing you and also affecting both your livers and kidney like they did with the Covid 19 vaccines. The average Nigerian will harbour doubts but it is the truth. This is not the only deal they are trying to make with, they're also making deals to control all of the lithium found in Nigeria to make their lithium batteries.  This same deal do not benefit the average Nigerian in anyway, they simply gravitate towards corrupt political class who they also use to keep Nigerians poor and hungry. As it was in the past,  the US government are always all for themselves period

I wouldn't be here pointing fingers or playing the blame game because if competent people were occupying the leadership position of the Nigerian government, they wouldn't be going round the world and be begging up and down when the country is greatly rich in not just resources, but also talent in so many things.

I saw this update on social media, but I don't actually knows how authentic it was, so I wouldn't just conclude on anything yet, but if it is actually true, then it would be very clear that the Nigerian leaders are our biggest enemy, not an outsider.

Yes last year the United States suspended the financial support for HIV to Nigeria but it wasn't only Nigeria but not long after the suspension was it lifted, that short time period there was huge panic in the Nigerian healthcare system.

I haven't read about this news that the OP raised but it's already absurd that they say Nigerian paramount food and drug administrative body won't be able to check it.

We should look at both side of the agreement. This medical aid is going to help Nigeria fight against the malaria , as it is going to help them to improve their healthcare but that does not mean that their government should accept every condition without having proper secrutiny. NAFDAC has the freedom to verify the quality of the medicine and also safety before entering the country as the life of the people of Nigeria are involved. Also we should see that whether the restrictions are written in the agreement or not. US has their own quality control procedures but that does not mean that Nigerians has no right to re check at them or it is not automatically replace independent regulatory oversight of Nigeria. Citizen deserve transparency as Nigerian government is contributing 2.1 billion dollars of their money. They have the right to check that where their money has been spend and what conditions are there with the deal.
