Unfortunately the dead internet theory is real, and you just got yourself fooled and scammed in the name of $
Truth is: Most internet forums and websites (even social media) is currently filled/flooded by BOTS and FAKES everywhere (including this forum here), with only a handful of human participation, content, and engagement.
They will boost artificially the numbers/visitor counter stats, to make it look like you are receiving massive traffic, but in reality when you look at the real ' engagement ' (like real clicks on your website, an email sent by a potential buyer and etc)
It's simply non-existent, and then all of a sudden all that ' artificial ' visitors count, will completely stop (after a few days or sometimes even hours) altogether.
Tell me: Have you been a victim of that fake visitors/views/traffic scam in your business ? Have you paid recently for any ' ads ' on top-level platforms only to see your budget being burned completely by shit and scam fake visitors and bots clicking around ?
