Been noticing more crypto casinos pushing the whole no KYC thing lately and tbh i think thats how crypto gambling should've worked from the start.

i mean whats the point of using crypto if you still gotta upload your passport, take selfies and wait for someone to approve your account just to play or withdraw your own money... that's lol...

Theres already quite a few names around 'no KYC' sectore like BC.Game, Shuffle, Frenzy and others.. going for different levels of crypto-first experience and less friction. Not saying all of them are fully no KYC tho cause thats another story.

Personally i think people are getting tired of all these verification steps especially when some casinos only bring up KYC right when you try to withdraw - and thats probably the worst part of it for my humble opinion

_______________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________

but im just curious, if no-KYC is actually becoming the norm or its just another marketing thing ?

what do you guys think: would you trust a casino more if it doesn't ask for your docs or does that actually make it more suspicious? -_-

Most gambers are more on KYC gambling sites. I mean the online traffic on KYC gambling sites or more than the online traffic on no KYC gambling sites.

Some people are saying that the withdrawal on crypto gambling sites are faster, though I think this may be different in some countries, especially if the fiat gambling sites support more than wire transfer and if they are operating locally.

NoKYC is just a marketing strategy because if you win big, you will be asked for KYC verification so, how is that a NoKYC casino. Don't be decieve with that NoKYC banner by these new casinos because some of them  know that majority of gamblers love privacy and would rush to use a NoKYC casino.

If you look around the gambling industry, the big casinos are KYC casinos and gamblers are cool with submitting their documents to these casinos because of their good reputation.

This is the reason it is good to read the rules of withdrawal on the gambling site's terms of service because some gambling sites can say they are no KYC site, but they will have little withdrawal limit that the no KYC will cover.

But the worst thing about it is that the gambling site can demand for KYC at anytime even if they labelled themselves as no KYC site and it is regardless on the amount won that want to be withdrawn.

In most case this is marketing trap.

Many casino try to attract gambler by using No KYC catchphrase. But you will find subtle reference to risk based KYC in their ToS.

I mean as long as you're making small deposit and losing there's no problem.

But the moment you attempt to withdraw large amount or secure any significant win then you get flagged and prompt requesting document pops up.

Truly pure no KYC is rare these days. Most are actually pseudo-no-KYC.

I find it more like a marketing trick than a standard, but somehow there are casinos that really don't require KYC.

So if you are a gambler who doesn't really put a lot of money into your gambling activities this is good for you as KYC may not be required for smaller transactions, but at least be prepared for that as casinos can still request verification at any time depending on their policies, you cannot just tell the casino that they advertised no KYC so they should process your withdrawal without it but you forgot that when you signed up you agreed to the TOS where KYC requirements are clearly indicated, we just don't read them do we.

Personally i think people are getting tired of all these verification steps especially when some casinos only bring up KYC right when you try to withdraw - and thats probably the worst part of it for my humble opinion

The problem is not simply whether a casino requires KYC or intentionally wants to frustrate players at the time of withdrawal. it is whether its rules are clear from the beginning. most gambling platforms have faced criticism for allowing players leave verification checks until withdrawal when they could reasonably ensure the players complete it at registration if it was going to be required at the point of withdrawal.

No-KYC platforms offer an obvious privacy advantage at signup, but that alone does not make them trustworthy. A casino can still delay withdrawals or introduce unexpected conditions. Also, no-KYC doesn't always mean no verification; some platforms reserve the right to request documents under certain circumstances.

Ultimately, transparency about withdrawal rules and verification requirements matters more than the no-KYC label itself. KYC free gambling is good if only it is actually KYC free and not a trap.

Do not be deceived, currently there's nothing like KYC free in a casino or no KYC casino. Those casinos who claims that they are no KYC casino will later request for KYC when the time comes, the no KYC casino as they said is just a way of getting people to join their platform since they know that majority of the gamblers prefer no KYC than KYC. But even if they are going to do something to get enough users but not this aspect of KYC because our KYC means the whole world to us so it's not something to joke with.

There is hardly any KYC-free gambling platform, such word is mainly used for marketing purposes only. If you are using a casino that portray that idea of not requiring KYC, first thing is to check their TOS to see if they can ask for KYC if they suspect any foul play. If the answer is affirmative,  then prepare your mind that KYC will be demanded eveb when you did not violate any of their rules and as long as you win them more money than your deposit.

tbh i think thats how crypto gambling should've worked from the start.
Based on my findings, that was how it worked from the start, crypto casinos never required for KYC and that was one of the attraction of  Bitcoin gambling sites back then, people gambled using Bitcoin knowing they won't be asked to pass KYC but things has changed now and the authorities wants casinos to request for KYC for some reason which is not really good enough in my opinion, for compliance sake, the casinos can not refuse.

Some casinos use non-kyc statement just to market there self meanwhile they have hidden terms and conditions regarding KYC that some players will only get to find out during some huge withdrawals, that's why it's important to also read the terms and policy of any casino before using it.

Depending on the reputation of the casino and how long they have been existing, I can trust it if it truly does not request for KYC.

To be honest this is not something new anymore and I believe that people are already getting tired of this "No kyc casinos". Of course if you ask me too well you will know that they are just using that as a marketing strategy to attract people into using gambling site and promote themselves. Of course, people may think that they asked for that less until you have access their gambling site through their kyc compliance section against Anti money laundry.

You can trust them as long as they don't pull any scam. Tongue
You know core philosophy of Bitcoin was anonymity. If any data breach occur then your personal passport details will end up on dark web. No KYC eliminate such risk.

And speaking of Suspicious, casino that operate without license offer no user protection whatsoever. If any purely no KYC casino block your withdrawal for no reason. You will have no recourse nor any mean to lodge any complaint with regulatory body, thats all.

It is just a marketing thing actually. If there is something I have learnt about casinos and personal data since I started to get into them is that the actual trend in the long term points to regulated casinos asking for our personal information in order to have access to their games and betting markets, as regulators and laws get tougher in countries like the USA, UK and the European Union, casinos get pressured into asking for full KYC/AML, in order for them to allowed to operate in those markets (which are very profitable for them).

As a rule of thumb, if you see some casino which promises to be one hundred percent free from KYC, doubt and check their terms of service. They usually claim those things in order to attract more gamblers, as pure marketing.

I dont get why people think "no KYC automatically means shady" Huh We've been using crypto without handing over passports for a decade now.. why should gambling be any different? Just let me connect my wallet and play!

ps: obviously doesnt mean you should trust every random site out there tho

I don't trust any casino for being a KYC casino or not because both a KYC casino and a non KYC casino can pull an exist scam or prevent you from cashing out your win and come up with unnecessary excuses just to prevent you from withdrawing your money.

I look at reputation of the casino and continue to close mack their reputation to make sure that they don't lose that reputation unknown to me. This is because I have seen a casino that took its time to build its reputation and later, tramp it on the ground and start preventing customers from withdrawal.

Not always, even for someone like me who is using only Bitcoin casinos for years. I experienced one crypto casino that locked my account and asked me to undergo KYC right after I deposited, not even on withdrawal. But it's kinda becoming like common exchanges right now.
I don't want to do KYC that time, but they already have my funds so I had no choice.

You will definitely not blame the regulators of these crypto casinos for enforcing KYC for verifications, because when the use of crypto on casinos started in 2012 to 2015, it all operated anonymously where you could just deposit your crypto, gamble and withdraw your profits back in crypto without stress. Not until years later, when many people started misusing the opportunity for online fraud, money laundering and eradicating geo-blocking evasion in restricted places where gambling was prohibited that the government and casino regulators start to enforce strict rules for KYC verifications. And now, due to the quest of more people seeking how to gamble anonymously. Its now a new trend in demand that most new casinos adopting to drive traffic to their sites.

Not only that, the additional risk is that all these documents can fall into the wrong hands, which is very likely considering that the databases are leaking everywhere.

but im just curious, if no-KYC is actually becoming the norm or its just another marketing thing ?

what do you guys think: would you trust a casino more if it doesn't ask for your docs or does that actually make it more suspicious? -_-

Good question, for example, I would be very suspicious if I saw that an online casino did not require KYC, because at some point they would probably ask for it, which would then make no sense. I'm not in that world, so I don't know if there are really online casinos that don't ask for KYC even when you get a big win, but if there are, it would be a good thing for those who want to protect their privacy.

I do not trust casinos from that perspective. KYC or no KYC is the same to me. What can make gamblers trust a casino is if it still pays out no matter the gambler's winnings.
We know that nowadays, indeed some casinos have appeared with such a concept. Everything seems easier for gamblers who are not troubled by tedious steps and procedures. Perhaps that is what makes it quite a topic of discussion currently.

Many casinos are pushing for no kyc because crypto is a non government means of payment and transactions, it's simply a decentralized payment medium existing on the Internet

Kyc are really for governmental approval before issuing or allowing payments in and out of Fiat, and so financial institutional bodies conducted documents verification before undergoing processes.

No kyc casinos are trustable because it's simply easy and obey and align with the Satoshi vision of decentralized, if these casinos are depositing and withdrawing Fiat, there is every need for them to wanting documents before using-thats centralization
