Usually, I do not care much about it.
Whoever, when I feel like helping someone, I would definitely get out of my way in order to use the referral link of someone specific.

It does not only applies to casinos and bookies, there are exchanges (like Binance) which have their own Referral programs, when I feel like testing a new exchange or financial service, I also see if they have a referral program so I can help someone from the forum or someone I have met in real life.

It is quite situational.

If I'm interested in signing up at a casino, I do this by clicking on the referral link which triggered my interest for that casino. I don't think about helping someone by signing through his link, but I reward the one who was successful in promoting that casino in a meaningful way for me.

On the other hand, it would be a good idea to sign up as referral of someone who promises rakeback over his comission, meaning he shares his comission with his referrals.

I don't understand people that remove the referral for no reason

Some parts of privacy are compromised (although some people don't consider it a problem for bonsu's sake). If a casino offers say a 2% commission on every bet a referral makes, I as a referrer can monitor who usually contributes the most commission or perhaps in more detail depending on the platform. In a narrower space like this forum, it is easier to identify account connections.

This one is risky for me. The first result on Google is sometimes an Ad, and phishing sites are abusing those Ads so they always show up on top. Now even ChatGPT was caught giving a phishing site as answer, I saw that thread last September.
With rise of AI now, I'm curious, how they will solve these with help of AIs too.

The player can even cut a deal to get a % of the earnings, so it's in a users best interest to try and make it less of a risk for themselves by using a code n making a deal.

Using somebody referral link is okay for me but I can register using the link in the ANN here if they have. I don't pay attention too much with or without using referral but a wise referrer will gives something to their downline. That could be a small reward for thanks to them which they can share so I am happy to support someone.

I think that is actually a great idea if you can get enough referrals to really kick off some revenue. I know on Stake it shows me the username so I believe I could use that to send them tips. I think this is actually a great way to give back to those who support you. Thanks for putting this idea out there.

But if someone asks me to do it for them and they are some good guys, I won't mind giving them that favor.
It's not going to cost me that much be good for them and so, if it will help them then I'd do it.

For me it depends on the person sharing the referral link and if he sends it directly to me to sign up. If it is somebody I know or public figure I follow, I can use their link to sign up to support them. But when it comes to referral links shared by random people, I don't really bother using it and I don't even know why I do that tbh. In most cases if I have interest in signing up to quickly check it out,  and maybe the link i came accross  is from a random person.  I prefer to type the casino website directly into my browser and sign up from there. I don't usually think whether they could benefit from my signup or not. I just do it as it comes to my mind.

Most times I am been referred but I don't let it bother me because in my head I am helping a friend so I will go on with all the sign up processing and if the casino looks good enough I can maybe have some good time on it.

I have done this several times before but I quickly let some because their interface looks like another casino that I am used to, for example Stake, there are many online casinos that are like a coy cat of Stake, their interface looks the same and this pisses me off easily.

For me, it's not a big deal or issue if there is a referrer when I sign up for a casino here on the forum, as long as I see that this platform has been operating for a long time, it's fine with me due to like the op said, at least we helped.

And even if the casino on this forum is new, there's no problem as long as it's managed by reputable managers, it's still fine with me, but if the casino is new and there are no reputable managers backing it up, I won't just create an account right away due to of course that's one of the things that can be thought of as something in a casino that's new here, you know what I mean.

I bet there are many fake sites that pretend to be famous sites like Stake, FortuneJack or Rainbet, and they spread their links everywhere.

It most times depends on the time i am doing the sign up and wether i was introduced to the casino by a person that will require me to sign up with his referral code. if that is the case, using a referral link is not a big deal but if there are no referral link and i am just registering on the casino for personal reasons, i don't pay attention to those things.

Those referral programs are just mere marketing scheme on the part of the casino and as a player, your concern should be on the reputation of the casino far above any referral program that they are running.

There's always this bitter part of me or I could safely say If I don't like the referer, and I happen to be interested in that particular online casino, I just type in the URL, nobody gets the referral bonus, lol. Sometimes, i find it easier to just click on the banner.

I'm too selective with who I want to support and use their code. It's either a friend of mine or someone who provides gambling techniques and strategies that makes a lot of sense, and encourages/promotes responsible gambling within the community.

With it depends on how and where I get link for signup. If I see a new casino on the forum, I would click on a signature, get redirected to page and register (but I will be lazy to go to signature topic or casino ANN to read if there is written special referral code registration). If my tiny deposit will one day help someone to get a referral bonus, I will only be glad of that. If someone asks me to register under his ref link, I would be glad to help btw.

But to be honest, years and years ago I was kinda a person who was erasing referral codes at end of page links to enter "clean" and original page, or was deleting referral code during registration if it was there automatically

If I want to test a new casino that I happen to know through their signature campaign and I see a referral link posted there, I will use it to signup without thinking twice. Based on this post, I will put more effort to use the links of someone when signing up in new platform to help the person benefit from the commission or whatever benefits that comes with that since doing so does not put me in any form of danger.

It depends on the situation. For example, when I want to join a contest that requires me to register on a certain platform, I usually sign up using a referral link. Even if there is no referral link provided, I contact the organizer to ask for one. I do this as a way of showing appreciation.

But if I just want to register on a certain site for betting purposes, I usually search for the site manually instead.

I am not too concerned about referrals. However, if I have the opportunity to help someone make a small amount, I would gladly do it. There are few people that I have used their referral links to register in some casinos. Nevertheless, most of the casinos I use were discovered on the forum, and I just select ones that offer better services. Clicking on random links is bad for security; this is why I verify them before accessing them.

It actually depends. Sometimes, when I know someone who is already using a platform and I want to sign up, I might give them the referral, but if I'm signing up for a platform that is new for me and I don't know anyone who might already be a part of it, I will then type the URL and sign up like that. However, I also don't mind signing up under someone completely random, especially when I'm signing up for a casino directly from this forum or another forum where the link has been posted by a manager or someone who has a referral link in it, so I go ahead and click that directly.

It is actually a good thing to sign up under someone else instead of signing up directly, because you have nothing to lose, but that person is going to get some referral earnings or commissions from your deposits and wagers which you are already going to do even if you don't sign up under them. This thought has always made me sign up under other people only with the thought that instead of doing it uselessly, I could be helping someone at least get a percentage of what I'm spending on the casino.

These days, I'm happy to support some forum members, but sometimes I register through the main banner in ANN casino threads... Not all casinos have signature campaigns from the start, so the ANN banners are the simplest way to check the casino & register. That's why casino ANN threads should look nice, it's the first thing we see about some casino.
