I can't say how reasonable it is to compare Bitcoin to Democracy, but in some countries, Democracy is controlled by the government. When the government controls Democracy, the government becomes a dictator. But Bitcoin is never controlled by any government or bank or any single individual, so it is possible to directly place it above Democracy.
Since it is not controlled by the government and the banks are not controlled either, its nature is decentralized. But the Democracy of a corrupt country is completely centralized.

Where there is actual democracy, there is no absolute control by the government there because actual democracy and absolute governmental control are opposite things. If in a nation, when it is an era of something nearly absolute control by government, it's when the democracy there in danger and can be in a phase of changing from democracy to dictator regime.

Bitcoin blockchain and network are actually decentralized, and there is no absolute control by any Bitcoin node or miner. Its decentralization has been actually tested since 2009 and with this solid foundation, I believe that Bitcoin community will maintain it very well toward future.

Bitcoin holders do not change their decisions based on government views or negative actions. Bitcoin holders around the world are silently holding their coins without relying on government recognition. The government wants to keep every power to itself and discourages people from holding Bitcoin as part of its efforts. The government does not expect people to achieve financial independence so it favors traditional banking but people are gradually realizing and turning to Bitcoin as a store of value.

Still doesn't change the fact that democracy is not a suitable analogy for Bitcoin. The two system work differently, and the fact that the both have ways of limiting concentration of power does not make them the same. Decision making in a democratic state can be centralized or decentralized depending on their constitutional structure. Unlike Bitcoin that is decentralized.

You make so much sense, Democracy of a corrupt country is Centralization, I think bitcoin is way above democracy, personally I can’t compare bitcoin with democracy because the same democracy we are talking about are no longer the same anymore, places like Africa democracy isn’t very efficient, but when we look at a perspective of Government or anyone not having power to regulate bitcoin, but Government can have a decision making when it comes to Democracy and people can’t have any decisions making when it comes to bitcoin, and Government can’t have a decision with Bitcoin, so I will assume that it’s entirely a different perspective all together.

They don't even have a business with whatever the government might be doing because, if you look at it, people think about government involvement, but from the whole thing, holders do things of their own will, and one of the things that has made people interested in Bitcoin is because of its independence and decentralization, and the uniqueness in it has made people more interested, and the fact that their investment can be unknown and the government does not have a hand in it, people will continue to buy because most of the time what the government creates does not even work, so I'm sure that the idea is one of the most biggest invention because just look at bitcoin total market cap you will understand.

Bitcoin was created to be decentralised, for the people and if this same people say no to decentralisation what's left? The government don't need to control Bitcoin, they perfectly understand this.

What they needs to get their hands on is people, you and I and sorry to say, so far it's working because if we are to start asking around right now you will see that the majority of people who are into Bitcoin are also into Banks and their centralisation method of controling.

If the people don't want decentralization anymore, then they will have to stop using Bitcoin for anything. Bitcoin will lose its value, but what it was created for won't change.

Always have in mind that Bitcoin is not for everybody. The few people who will cherish decentralization will continue without any control from the government. Bitcoin increased the options, easily for us to make choice. A choice to choose decentralization completely, a choice to choose both decentralization and centralization, and a choice to choose centralization.

These countries already recognize bitcoin, they recognize it as property, (so it's wrong to assume they will not recognized)

  • United States
  • Australia
  • United Kingdom
  • Canada

That's the problem. Those countries are recognizing Bitcoin as property, instead of money. Because of this, people are forced to pay taxes for every Bitcoin transaction. Money gets a whole different treatment, though. Since Bitcoin is often labeled as "Digital Gold" (even though it also works as money), many countries have decided to treat it as property. I don't expect this to change anytime soon.

At least, Bitcoin remains free from government interference. Governments can only tax Bitcoin holders and enforce regulatory measures on centralized exchanges, but they can't manipulate the Blockchain to their own desire. Bitcoin is a true democracy, because each node and miner has a say on the network. Not economic holders, but rather those participating within the core Blockchain itself. Only can only hope that the vast majority of nodes and miners remain in the hands of the people forever. Because if governments and/or companies gain a significant portion of network dominance, it will be the end of Bitcoin for good. Time will tell...

The governments of the world will use Bitcoin for their benefit, they can keep it as a reserve, they can make transactions but they will not recognize it because if they recognize it, the people will consolidate financial power and challenge the power against the government,
because the current control of the money of any country is the real power of the state and the government knows it very well if it is recognized, a great revolution in the money power of the people will happen.
So while most of the government has power, it buys and saves it secretly and when it loses power, it uses it silently but does not recognize it.

Some of us here have only heard of what democracy is but has never known what it actually feels like because if the governance we found ourselves in. So to some extent relating bitcoin to Democracy comes with soo much contradictions.

First, the real democracy I heard about is still under the government, while you have your own rights as a citizen, who made those rules? Definitely the government, and when the rules broken, you still fall to legal consequences. Though this was not what I was born to experience, but both the real democracy and the defiled one, none of them replicates the concept of bitcoin.

You’d have gotten it right by spotting a specific area similar to bitcoin, pointing a democratic experience we enjoy with bitcoin as denied by the government.

And incase you don’t know, they recognize it more than you’ll ever imagine. U just need to be aware.

These countries already recognize bitcoin, they recognize it as property, (so it's wrong to assume they will not recognized)

Yea governments overtime will certainly recognize and adopt it fully, if some governments are already do it in other countries, it may take a while but for sure that adoption will come around. I even believe that the individuals who make up the government, i believe they may use Bitcoin and have invested in it and of course because of one or two issues that they are forseeing,, they will just decide as a body lets not recongnize this before the people because, yes Bitcoin has its leverage and all but as more country's government adopt Bitcoin openly, the more it grows and mabe im just talking here but you cant tell me those individuals haven't heard or know about the opportunities of Bitcoin, of course they do and thats why i say overtime, they will all eventually adopt openly.

Each government may have their own consideration whether to fully accept Bitcoin or they just allow Bitcoin for an investment only. In my country, it is quite difficult to make Bitcoin as a legal tender or be another national currency because it is against the laws. Other countries probably also have some big reason to not fully accept the Bitcoin. So, I assume we can't really ensure that all countries will do the same way in the future. I think Bitcoin will remind to be a digital asset only here because the changing the laws is quite unlikely, unless it is for a very urgent matter.

The thread was created on 23rd October and there have been 92 replies. Having said that, the OP has made zero replies therefore it is clear he has no interest in this thread. What can also be noted is that he has not received a single merit for (what appears to be) creating the thread with the clear intention of seeking merits.

After looking at his post history and attempts to build up the account slowly over a period of time, I suppose a tag is valid under the circumstances.

So I think the Bitcoin money and savings system is a reflection of democracy.

The word "recognize" is not clear in your post. Do you mean recognizing it as legal tender or currency?
No, I mean it as a democratic currency and people's money and power, which unites the power of the people through a chain system and a decentralized and unregulated (that cannot be controlled by anyone) financial system.

In addition that just another reality of life, on paper they make it feels like democracy but in reality just a few people control everything for instance like the courts, police, elections, and so many other things are completely controlled by them and for a fact that is not what should be called democracy that's centralization wearing a democracy t-shirt….

And as for the comparison Bitcoin and democracy are not on the same levels…Bitcoin has no government, no person, no central bank can print more, freeze it, or reverse it, just the own rules it has are codes that were created by people…

You are right, in a true democratic system, the government should give importance to the opinions and decisions of the people. But this is not visible in any way. And bitcoin was not created based on any decision of the majority of people. Rather, some fixed rules and features of bitcoin have been kept and people can use them freely accordingly. Because if they like, they can invest, trade or transact through bitcoin, and if someone wants, they can ignore it. Bitcoin does not force anyone to do anything.

I do not think there is a need to compare bitcoin with anything like that. Bitcoin has gained popularity due to its unique features. Some things can be found in the systems that are already running in our world. But in reality, I do not find anything that directly matches the features of bitcoin.

Because the purpose of the rules that have been created politically and economically in the world so far is to control the people by capitalizing on the people, abusing power and trying to manipulate people. But bitcoin is giving us freedom, not controlling us. This is the main feature of bitcoin.

Well, let's see how it goes. Though, you are right, most governments are investing in Bitcoin while they publicly despise it, just to make people lose interest. Perhaps they understand the benefits but are reluctant to embrace something they cannot control. They know the benefits they get from a financial system that operates with fiat, and Bitcoin challenges that level of control, in my own opinion though. Also some people who have been scammed through Bitcoin investments might not be willing to adopt the idea.

It is far too late, your account has already been noticed. Posting here after I highlighted your account farm is not going to help you now. Hopefully you will never be able to monetise this "arzuo" account.

In order to deal with low quality posters account farmers (such as you), the best case scenario to render the account useless would be for you to continue you attempts at slowly building up the account and as soon as you apply to enroll in signature campaigns, you end up with a signature ban.
