Before the official announcement of the index Ebola case in Nigeria, I have been wanting to create a thread on major diseases that affects Nigerians. Ebola is an hemorrhagic fever caused by Marburg virus found in Africa monkey. The diseases is transmitted by blood and droplets what this means is that it is very contagious. With Nigeria announcement of a case in Abuja, the ministry of health and public health department will try to contain the virus from spreading. These measures will require a huge some of money.

This announcement very close to the election one will know that the government wants to siphon more money for election after the 10 billion naira that was released in June for Ebola preparedness they still want more.
The minister of health said the case was a Ugandan national, the Uganda ministry of health reported that as the time Nigeria made an announcement they have no active Ebola case in the country.
Who is saying the truth, as a Nigeria government or Uganda 🇺🇬

Bola as they call him a political strategist can do anything just for his re-election bid. For you to know that is all politics no travel ban has been issued from people coming from Uganda, no hospital has received Personal protective Equipment, the Senate is asking for approval of an emergency funds, use of face mask has not been made mandatory or encouraged.

The government will wait till the numbers are high enough that campaign activities will be suspended, which will hurt the opposition.

This is a plot to win election not outbreak of Ebola

Nigerians have every right to ask how the money which was approved was spend and if the hospitals and the necessary medical practitioners are very well prepared but because there isn’t a travel ban or requiring that people start wearing mask does not mean the outbreak is been fabricated. We shouldn’t just conclude on that this is happening for any political gain rather our focus should be on taking proper health measures before conclusion is drawn:

Well, a pandemic does not have to write to us that it is coming before it hits a nation. if it is actually true that there are cases of Ebola Virus that have been discovered, it is only necessary to be swift in following it up and not politicize everything. The challenge we have always had is that we are not a proactive people but a people that sees every opportunities as an avenue to loath from the national treasury.

If the pandemic breaks out by January and it get really serious, it is capable of leading to the suspension of an election and fact is that the opposition party does not need to do serious campaigns because an average Nigerian at this point should have already decided on who he is voting for all the offices. If we and our politicians continues to play politics with everything, one day, an actual pandemic will break out and we will suffer it the most.

Ebola is an hemorrhagic fever caused by Marburg virus found in Africa monkey.
It is commonly transmitted through monkeys but the virus is also found in fruit eating bats, Chimpanzees, Gorillas, a specie of antelopes and Porcupines. All these animals have reportedly infected people before with ebola.

Well, a pandemic does not have to write to us that it is coming before it hits a nation.
It is epidemic not pandemic. If the diseases is spreading to continents, it is pandemic just like COVID 19, but this is in four West Africa countries and France. It is still epidemic and not pandemic.
