Bitcoin’s 2022 low, 2025 high and 2026 low so far on yearly pivot grids

Three BTC examples explain why I watch the yearly 0.702 Fibonacci pivot zones.
2022 low: Bitcoin’s November low formed around $15.5k, near the bottom of the yearly S0.702 zone. Price traded deep into the band, but never closed a month below it.
2025 high: The October high formed around $126k, near the lower edge of the yearly R0.702 zone. Price never established a monthly close inside that band before moving back toward the central pivot.
2026 low so far: On the third chart, using data through October 23, Bitcoin’s low so far was around $57.7k on July 1, inside the yearly S0.702 zone. Price subsequently recovered toward S0.184.
The qualification “so far” matters. This does not establish that the final low of the year is in.
How the zones are calculated
Each yearly grid uses the previous completed year’s high, low and close:
Pivot = (High + Low + Close) / 3
Range = High − Low
Resistance = Pivot + ratio × Range
Support = Pivot − ratio × Range
I draw the 0.702 level as a band spanning ratios 0.618–0.786. Each year’s zone was therefore available from January 1, before the price reactions shown here. For yearly grids, I watch monthly closes relative to the whole zone. Touching it, trading through it and closing beyond it are different observations. These are selected historical examples, not a backtest or proof of a predictive edge. They explain the framework I use, rather than guarantee the next reversal.

I'm done making serious comparison about Bitcoin's histories; it's changing gradually. If you noticed, the last bullish phase started faster due to many events around Bitcoin, especially the ETF saga hype. Despite that, Bitcoin runs it's due course until it started rising from the last weeks of 2022, before its bullishness being noticeable in 2023.

This time again, it has show a different early start. I compare 10 months candlesticks of 2022 with that of 2026, and I could visibly see that they are different in patterns, and yet, it's highly likely that Bitcoin has started rising already.

If Bitcoin looks at the past year, Bitcoin increases its price on the same day every year, so it does not determine that the price of the previous year has some effect on the day of this year. Comparing it to the previous year depends on the conditions of each year. In 2025, there were wars, but it affected Bitcoin, but then it recovered, and this year too, there has been a big war, but Bitcoin has not been affected much because the war is still there and Bitcoin is above $80,000. Although this year is about to end, we do not know whether we will see a higher price or lower in the new year, so we should maintain our trade. These things are included in the history of Bitcoin. Until 2022, Bitcoin was busy in its journey, now many things are putting pressure on Bitcoin.

I'm usually not a fan of Fibonacci calculations because it seems unrealistic and misleading. Bitcoin is not an asset that is caged to behave in certain way after an occurrence like natural disaster or war, even government decisions may not affect bitcoin. From the chart link, you could see 2022 had a buttom that wasn't replicated in 2025 and currently, the direction keeps showing uptrend. Bitcoin has definitely left the buttom area and with the year ending, it seems it is a good time to invest now.

However, to plot the support and resistance, you are quit accurate with the high, low and close candles for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly pivot.

One thing I can confirm is that the yearly 0.702 pivot band is not a percentage that's stagnant. It has more to do with correlating with past years total price range.
Therefore it is okay to say that it's a good risk management practice to reduce ones position size in the years that are wider just to be able to effectively manage portfolio and weigh risk properly before execution of a trade.

What you need to know is that bad or good news has its time, so your statement is actually incorrect.
Because if bad news had no effect on the market, Bitcoin's price would never have fallen.

But in reality, Bitcoin's price decline is not solely due to bad news, there are many factors such as selling pressure, liquidity or global economic conditions.

I think cycles are still alive but we're near to the end of this bear market which is the usual part of a cycle.

But missing the bottom is probably true. We might have seen the worst but I will not remove the idea that the volatility that bitcoin has got will always be there.

Until we don't see this bear and year ends, chances are still there for it to go back to that $57k to $60k zone even it's very little this time.

As long as the yearly 0.702 fib level works for you, and you want to adopt it as a strategy, by all means, do so. I personally don't trust Fibonacci levels that much. There's no telling whether institutional investors or big buyers are looking at such level. I follow the foundation principle of supply and demand which says that whenever price gets to level that buyers or sellers consider it cheap to buy or expensive to sell, they'll execute there.

 Checking on the history to determine for the market performance is a way forward but does not really conclude on the market direction, it was not all the history repeated themselves when it comes to the exact month and how the market perform at the particular time of the season, when is some cases we made to have coincidence or something similar to make it more attractive as the same market performance in previous years being the same pattern that repeated itself.

But in reality, Bitcoin's price decline is not solely due to bad news, there are many factors such as selling pressure, liquidity or global economic conditions.

Bad news don't matter in bull markets and good news don't matter in bear markets. Seasonality.

Ever since we started rallying in August off the bottom, no amount of awful news, hacks, exploits, AI/quantum fear mongering could negatively affect the price. That simply means the bottom was in and we have entered the very beginning of the bull market.

It's just hilarious that some people still expect new lows at this point.
