Personally, I use the 4h timeframe. My approach is pretty slow-paced, with around 2–4 trades per month.
I'm interested in hearing about your experience:
- Do you trade only BTC, or do you trade altcoins too?
- Which timeframe do you use?
- How many trades do you usually make per month?
- What do you like or dislike about focusing on Bitcoin instead of trading multiple coins?
2-4 trades per month? I wonder what's your risk-to-reward ratio with that one.
With this number of trades, I just assume that you have a lot of capital, but a low monthly reward. Kind of around 5% per month which TBH is perfectly fine ONLY if you have 6-digit capital on your trading account.

For somebody who has maybe around $100 worth of capital, earning $5 per month isn't worth it.

Anyway to answer your questions:
- Nope I don't trade only Bitcoin. I also trade altcoins as well, and I'm more often trade altcoins than Bitcoin. As long as I see a setup, I enter.
- 3-4 timeframes. I usually use the 15M, 5M and 1M. 15M for the Bias and usually 5M for the entry. I also use the 1M as well if I see an entry. There are also times where I'm using the 1H time frame as well to see the overall bias of the market for the day/week.
- Number of trades per month? I will just say that I usually make around 1-3 trades per day.
- As somebody who's more of a scalper, you will not see setups that often if you will only focus on one coin. If you're more of a position trader, you will see setups because you're willing to wait for a long amount of time for that to happen. If you're a scalper, your not, and because of that you will go look for altcoins that have a setup based on your rules.
