Sounds like maybe they’re trying to stage a big comeback fight after bankruptcy proceedings? Part of me feels like if they did fight it would just be Floyd dancing around the ring and scoring points like all his other fights. I’ve fallen for that so many times. Floyd's debt is high because he loves a lavish lifestyle, but I think he's more worried about his reputation with 50-1 record than his debt ratio at the moment. So he might just stick to an exhibition kind of a event just for the high pay and low risk.
I would definitely love to see this fight happen but I can't bet my money on Floyd even though he's still a regular gym rat and trainer . I think he's way past his prime and Ryan might just not give him a chance to be funny at all to escape. So an exhibition seems about right without much pressure that's if Ryan would go along with it.

In fairness to Floyd, he isn't just a retired boxer. He's a legend. I'm sure not all retired boxers are given such attention. Apart from that, he also has a huge body of fans. So, despite his boring fights, they still attract a considerable audience.

And then there's also the fact that he's undefeated. So, he remains a target of some boxers who want to be part of history as the only fighter who gave Mayweather his one and only loss. However poor in taste it may be, some boxers like Ryan want Floyd to return most likely for that goal.

I think it's two different reasons though, for Pacquiao he fights for his fans and not for the money or fame already it helps a lot obviously. For Floyd, it's more of to sustain his lavish lifestyle, and so he needs more money so that he can continue to promote himself as having a lot of money.

Really? i thought it has not yet confirmed before. However, i'm doubting that date because no serious talk has been finalized. My point is that Floyd has made too many fake fighting claims. So i doubt the fight can happen unless i see an official announcement from the promotor. Nevertheless, i'd be interesting to have Garcia vs Teo fight, but the latest rumor Ryan vs Teo potentially taking place at February 2027. Is not it coincidence with Floyd's claim?

Could it be that Floyd has indeed run out of money and is ready to risk his 50-0 record? I believe his ultimate goal is money. I also feel that Garcia is too strange for challenging a boxer who has been retired for a long time and is old. Although there is clearly no official rule prohibiting this issue, it makes me laugh and perhaps both are aiming for money. The betting odds might heavily favor Garcia to win, because their ages and activities are very different. I feel Floyd is still diminished in any way due to his age and long retirement. But strangely, although the schedule is not yet official, the BetOnline site has made bets placing Garcia as the betting favorite -400 against +300 for Mayweather.
