This is actually true we talk less about this part of protecting our lives. Many of us are more concerned about the security of coins, we even go as far as investing in expensive security system to protect our coins, yet we pay little attention to our lives, our health and personal safety which is kind of ironic. What is the value of protecting our coins if we fail to protect the very lives that make it meaningful. I know we all want to make money from the crypto space, but would should also protect ourselves and take care of our healths.
You have a point, protecting ourselves and taking care of our health is also as important as the value we place on our investment. Health is wealth and that statement means that it is more valuable than any amount of Bitcoin that we might have. Talking about Bitcoin investment publicly is one way that people people put themselves in danger without actually realizing it, some people do this because they are not really security conscious when it comes to their life.

If we die, we would eventually die and leave our fat portfolio behind. We will have no clue of how it will be used, recklessly used or prudently spent, we can't tell. This is the more reason why we must ensure that we take proper care of ourselves because money can't buy life. We must try to settle our basic needs first before buying Bitcoin. But settling basic needs first, it means we have wisely handled things concerning our lives, so that we don't get trapped or affected during the investment process. Getting a fat portfolio is necessary, but life is more important and we must not joke with it for any reason. Life first!

You are actually right I can recall having conversations with friends how we can freely and publicly discuss holdings and investments without paying attention to who might be listening to us and who might be hearing the conversation and what could be there intensions, and I think this happens because we feel like this persons can only get access to your account when they are exposed to your seed phrase but the truth is the first risk comes from you making a dangerous person conscious of the kind of investment you have and the amount of Bitcoin in your wallet because when this persons are exposed to this information of how much you have it makes them start to strategize on how to hack into your Bitcoin wallet.
Bitcoin security is not limited to keeping the key secret, but keeping your personal information secret is also a very important issue. No matter how much you trust people, it is natural for people to be greedy. Suppose you discuss your Bitcoin amount and buying habits in the midst of your friends' chat or on social media. It is not that everyone presents there will harm you, but if that information reaches someone else, it will not take long for danger to arise.

Someone can make you a target by finding out about your identity, financial status and daily movements. However, financial status is not the main issue here, security plays the most important role in your life. Even if you cannot access the wallet directly, you may try to collect Bitcoin through various greed, fraud, fake identity communication or intimidation, but we need to be most aware of this issue. Therefore, you should not disclose how many Bitcoins you have unnecessarily.

Especially Nigerian boys that like showing off, before you know one has shown car key, another account balance, another wallet, just to prove what exactly ?
I watch live streams on tiktok and I see a lot of cases like this. I don't know,, but it think Nigerians has a lot to learn, I don't know if that's the vibe of the country or whatsoever, but what sort of vibe is that, that is putting your life at risk,
For those in the forum if you are still involved in such act of showing off it is better you stop for your own safety.

Bad people are everywhere and we ought to be very conscious when dealing with people. There are people like friends that all they care about is to take what belongs to us. It is advised that disclosing sensity information to friends might not be a good choice at all especially when you know that those friends can later became an enemy one day.

There are people called unfriendly friends, they're only in your life to benefit from you and also try to bring you down when they can't achieve their aim. That's why everyone has to watch who they call their hommies.

The truth is that one can be careful but sometimes find it tough to note unfriendly friends cause people can be very pretentious which is why you have to keep your Bitcoin investment private from everyone since you can't tell who has good or bad intentions.

Moreover self-custody demands privacy so it's not okay to share sensitive informations with friends.
