For those who have managed to build financial stability, what helped you most? Was it increasing your income or you just find another way to protect yourself from unexpected cost?
The point is, if you want to feel more at ease with all of this and not worry too much about urgent needs, you definitely need to have an emergency fund. With that,, you won't have to worry about your savings being depleted. So, start saving now for two things regular savings and an emergency fund. This is clearly crucial, as emergencies often come unexpectedly. That's why I think this is the solution for those of you who feel like a single need can deplete your savings. But, if your income isn't that large, I can't blame you, because with limited income, managing money becomes more difficult. So, the point is, you just have to fight. If your income is low, then you have to think about how you can increase it. Because that will also affect other things, like your savings and emergency fund. So, stay motivated, and never give up.
That is a risk because not everyone has that much. You think that the world has a lot of people with savings? Just because we know some people who do doesn't mean that the average person does. The average American has 8 thousand dollars in savings, and that is average, which means that most do not even have that, and a lot of them have school loans and a mortgage along with it, so their savings do not even cover their debt. And that is America, one of the wealthiest nations in the world; very few nations (like the Swiss people, etc.) have more than that.
So if the richest place has people who, on average, do not even have as much savings as their debt, then what about the rest? And you ask people to have not only savings, but also an emergency fund account? That is very unlikely.
