Bitcoin reaching a million dollars is dependent on global demand, adoption, regulation and the confidence of investors.
What we are to do is to try to conduct a possibility test not probable but actual outcomes. Take:

Scenario 1(Bullish Scenario): This is a case where bitcoin reaches the million mark due to institutional investors significantly increasing their investments and bitcoin now becomes digital gold.

Scenario 2(Moderate Scenario): Bitcoin may continue to grow in value but don't get to the million dollar mark because of competition,  slower adoption or changing market condition.

Scenario 3(Bearish Scenario): Government can impose strict regulations, or investors lose confidence due to security against bitcoin or better alternative.

This is simplified here but the truth is bitcoin reaching $1 million is highly conceivable but also highly uncertain. I'll separate all these in to three questions.

1) Can Bitcoin reach $1 million.  Yes
2) Will it reach $1 million. Nobody knows
3) Should someone assume it will reach $1 million when making financial decisions? No.

Seems like you answered all your questions, OP.

One thing I should add though, is that in the current state of affairs BTC reaching $1M might end up not being that much of a profit. We'll have to consider what dollar is worth in terms of purchasing power. Maybe when it's at $1M it won't get you significantly more real goods than when it was at $120K in 2025.

Your welcome to the forum, I can see that this is your first post on the forum how ever you should know that this forum has rules and regulations when it comes to posting. This type of post would have been better on Bitcoin discussion board as that is where Bitcoin related things are discussed. Again when ever you are creating new thread try and find out if other members has discussed or created a similar threads on the topic you are talking about to avoid repeated topics which will not be good . This type of threads has been created on the forum and when ever I see threads like this, my advice is that when it comes to the price of Bitcoin no body can actually predict or tell of it price movement accurately.

Everything is just purely a Case of speculation because there are different factors that contribute to the price of Bitcoin growth in as much as Bitcoin price is driven by demand and supply. So irrespective of the comments that you receive here no one can accurately tell you what the price of Bitcoin will be in 2030_ 2035.

Why ask a question like this, then at the end you are the one answer those questions you asked here?.

But its really hard to predict if 1 million price will be hit by Bitcoin on that year. Since we have so many things to consider, then also it needs huge demands and major adoption. Before we could able to see that price.

Who knows if that situation will came right? But we should not expect more that what Bitcoin could possibly reach. Also what's more important is your continuous investment, since if you just speculate and do nothing. You cannot earn if Bitcoin succeed and reach that 1 million mark.

I'd say plenty of folks still believe in that and bullish about it. But let's be real, btc hitting $1m before 2035 is next to impossible.

Your answer is the same as what I had in mind when I opened the topic. Bitcoin will reach $1 million in the future but nobody know when that will happen. Investing and keeping in mind that Bitcoin is going to explode and hit $1 million is like setting oneself up for restlessness which is completely unnecessary. The way to go is to invest in a gradual fashion, not putting too much money at once so that we can give the investment enough time to yield profits. Another thing to also keep in mind while investing in Bitcoin is that Bitcoin can be used as saving alternative not necessarily as investment option. If you save in Bitcoin rather than fiat, you will reduce the risk inflation has on your money and that is one motivation for anyone to consider buying as much Bitcoin as reasonably possible.

I think there is a better chance of Bitcoin reaching a value of 1 million dollars by 2035, and I
believe the main driver of this will be the fallout of all the geopolitical turmoil which is ongoing
and will more turmoil yet to play out.

The global economic structures are being stressed and tested and when the US economy
implodes there will be a scramble to secure wealth, one of those havens is and will be Bitcoin.

No & maybe yes - everyone expects at least a return of investment, the market has continued its
upwards trajectory since day 1 and because of everything Bitcoin itself can offer why would that

Yes. People that are holding bitcoin and not selling their coins should expect it. It can take 15 years, but the day is coming.

That's for sure, until now the government is trying to tighten the regulations they make, especially the increasingly invasive tax collection, but it will not make investors lose confidence they will still use bitcoin as an asset or a hedge.

There's been a lot of talk about bitcoin going to touch to $1m/BTC, it's just about a matter of time, don't know how much longer but a lot of people are waiting for that moment.

One thing I should add though, is that in the current state of affairs BTC reaching $1M might end up not being that much of a profit. Inflation is rising every day, fiat is becoming worthless, I think bitcoin could be the solution later as a place to secure assets.

I have seen a lot of discussions about this and I have seen many people make different comments. The main thing is that no one knows the future of Bitcoin, no one knows what will happen in 2030 or 2035, this is a fact. I don't think that the price of Bitcoin will be $1 million in 2030, it would not be wrong to say that it is impossible. 2035 is about 3 cycles away so I think that waiting for 3 cycles from now may not be enough and even if it is, it will not be surprising. So I will also say that everyone believes that the price of Bitcoin will be $1 million in the future but no one knows when it will happen.
Now in terms of investment, one should not focus on the price of Bitcoin but should invest with a long-term plan.

For me what's important is that how much Bitcoin you can save in the next 10 years or so. So that if we see that magical numbers then we might be already set for life by that time. So don't concentrate on how big the price will be in the future, but how big you can fill your wallet.

If you are indeed investing with a Bitcoin price target of $1 million that year, you must have confidence that it will be achieved. Currently, the price is indeed far from the target, and certainly more investors will set a more realistic target. This does not mean that Bitcoin cannot reach that price target. It is like in 2009 it was thought that Bitcoin would reach $126,000 in 2025 and such questions are still being raised today. I would say that Bitcoin is destined to reach this price, but there is no good reason for it to reach $1M in so many years. If Bitcoin increases every year, then it is not at all likely that Bitcoin will reach this price in 10 years. If Bitcoin gets a good and big bull run every year, which makes the price increase rapidly and does not hinder its price, then we will be able to see this price. Because of the circumstances of this year, we can see how the price of Bitcoin was lowered and it is still moving around it. It is easy to make such big predictions about Bitcoin, but it can also be a bit foolish because increasing the price so much in a few years that it comes here is just a guess without analysis.

But that was never needed in the past 17 years when bitcoin went from $0.001 all the way up to $120,000.00 and it will not be needed to continue rising (even though it can contribute). As adoption grows, the price keeps going up.

Another way to reach $1 million is inflation! You are forgetting that we are measuring the value of money against fiat currency. Fiat has unlimited supply and with the way things are going, dollar is tanking and has a catastrophic crash on the horizon. The dump/inflation makes that rise easy and if that catastrophic crash happens then $1 million will be the first small target to reach (expect prices in the tens of billions when that happens).

Bitcoin is unpredictable; this is what people need to know, and there is no need for people to always ask questions like this. Definitely, this time the price of Bitcoin will have good value, and those who invest now will have good results by that time.

We can't tell what the price of Bitcoin will be exactly by then, but buying Bitcoin and holding from now until that time will be a good decision, and this is what people should be concerned about and not what the price will be in the future.

Some viewpoints accept that this already happened a while back -- some might even say Bitcoin's birth was a modern symptom -- but a true catastrophic scenario of implosion, while certainly plausible on paper, probably happens a long time after my account no longer posts on this forum (owing to death of old age, I'm saying haha).

I don't really know if Bitcoin reaching $1 million by 2035 is possible.  That's almost 1,150% increase within 9 years . We all saw how long it took bitcoin to go above $100k and made a new ATH at $125k. But since then, it dips back to $ 60k and it took months to get back to $80k. That time period given  is short for me , if the question was like could bitcoin reach 400-500k by 2035 I could agree with that.  So you are saying it's possible for bitcoin Market capitalizations to reach almost 20+ trillion dollar within 9 years. That's an enormous valuation, and I wonder how much demand would be required to sustain it.  I know that Bitcoin adoption is growing but we also have to look at some factors that can affect bitcoin price in that 9 years time frame e.g market cycles, large investors/institutions selling , regulations , economic conditions and so many more. Bitcoin is full of surprises which why I can't underestimate it , but that price range still looks unrealistic to me.

Assuming it that it will reach $1M someday is a motivation of why many of us will hold as long as we can.

But I agree that it shouldn't be a factor for making financial decisions. Because if we have promised to ourselves to become a dedicated holder and we'll only sell until we see $1M, we don't know what's the future.

Not about bitcoin's future but for ourselves. We can encounter real life experiences that we may require to sell some and reduce that holdings, some even have to sell all of it.

Just don't give it a time frame, invest what you can afford to lose and do things at your convenience not because the crowd tells you so.
