The timeframe is too close from my own option because if Bitcoin was to get to a million dollars then it has to take more than 3 to 5 Bitcoin halving cycle for we to be able to achieve that price. One million is not a small amount of money for the price of Bitcoin to just get to but I think it will happen but it will take some time for that to happen. 2030 We should be thinking about a price closer to $300,000 and not one million. Then after we have been able to sustain that price then the market can start thinking about doubling the price in the  upcoming biull market which can take another two Bitcoin halving for the price to get to that one million dollars but this price should not be what we used to define Bitcoin being successful.

Bitcoin's volatility has reduced compared to previous market movement, you could take an instance from 2015-2017 where bitcoin did above 100x with its price movement, we would likely not see a bull run like that again.

You answered your question already so I think there is not much anyone could say here on this thread that you don't know. Bitcoin attaining that high would depend on market sentiments and other factors, but the time it takes can never be speculated or predicted.

$1m seems like a huge amount but in the case of Bitcoin, reaching this amount of price is not impossible because at one time $100k per Bitcoin was unimaginable but in just 17 years Bitcoin has hit from $0 to $126k it was unbelievable when Bitcoin first came to the market. At that time if everyone could predict such a price then I don't think anyone would have sold their Bitcoins. Just like now it seems that it takes a long time for Bitcoin to hit $1M but if Bitcoin continues to keep the difference between one ATH price and the next ATH price like before then Bitcoin price can reach million dollars by 2036-2040. However, I believe that one day in the future Bitcoin price will hit million dollars. But none of us know the accuracy of that time

And this is also very true, we don't know when it will happen. I could wait for something like that to happen in 10 or 15 more years, that's just a quick calculation, seeing how far it has come. I hope it won't be that long, it might happen faster, but I am sure it will reach that amount. It's an amount that may seem impossible, but it was also impossible for many that BTC would reach $100k and it did.

The problem with your analysis is that it assumes the trend reversal is here to stay. That there cannot be a price surge significantly greater than that seen in recent years. And you only have to look at the trend in the price of gold over the last few decades to see that this is not true.

2030-2035 is not the end of bitcoin existence so there's no need to place your mind too high within a bracket so that you don't get disappointed. The OP already answered the most crucial question of whether bitcoin will reach $1 million. I also believe that bitcoin will reach $1 million but may not be as soon as predicted. Setting such a short timeframe can make some investors too anxious and go too aggressively. Maintaining your bitcoin accumulation' for now should be the focus.

The more institutions and countries are adopting bitcoin, the faster the $1 million price will happen. Keeping the fingers crossed the price will go up but I don't expect such swift surge.

This is more likely and realistic. Bitcoin still has a lot of barriers to break and a lot of volatility to deal with. Three decades is a good target in order not to be too concerned about the price now that bitcoin is still growing gradually. We must accept that bitcoin may no longer growing in the rate it did this first 17 years and then place the hope in possibilities and not timed.

I think it won't hit someone's financial decision if they will have that thought of speculating that someday bitcoin will reach that price.

Even though BTC is not new, there are still people that says that BTC or its future is uncertain. That seems true. Imagine, some really good inventions came in. There is a chance that it will disrupt BTC. Another that can stunt its growth, is if full adoption have been achieved.

BTC is nothing without us humans. It is us that creates its value. As for 1 million dollar per Bitcoin, 3 decades may seem a very long time but I think it is not enough for us to get there. If I can recall, we are like adding 30k'ish to 40k'ish dollars each 4-years. So if we are being realistic or based our assumptions on this pattern, maybe $500k is what we can only achieved or at least close to it after 3 decades if we also start after 2035.

If you are making a decision based off a certainty that bitcoin must get to 1$ million at a set timeframe, say in 10 years time, that is when you are going about it the wrong way. bitcoin can get to 1$ million but the time that such figure will come into reality is something that an average investor does not know. 2030 is barely four years from now and 2035 is just 9 years time from this period. within that span of time, a lot of things can still happen which is capable of taking bitcoin to the high moon but with current indices, we can not make an accurate speculation regarding where bitcoin will stand in 10 years time.

It is always better to make realistic projection and plan based on that rather than being overly ambitious just because you are hoping to get a certain degree of gain.

Personally, I believe that anything is possible with Bitcoin, but it's hard to say exactly when Bitcoin can really hit 1 million. It may occur earlier than anticipated or it may take quite a while. However the market does not always go the way we want, and even if we have more and more people to adopt Bitcoin, Bitcoin will still have its up and down along the line.

I don't want to put all my attention on the year that Bitcoin will hit that price,  but I feel like it's more important to understand what can affect how Bitcoin will grow and get ready for whatever it throws at you.

However for this to materialize, the gold mining industry and other forms of resource extraction would essentially have to collapse. people in the world would need to shift all their assets into a digital mining asset that is fairer and more environmentally friendly. In my opinion gold mining should be phased out with people moving their assets into Bitcoin as a form of digital gold since the Bitcoin mining process does not require the destruction of the natural environment. If this transition takes place, then in the future, the price of a single Bitcoin will exceed $1 million.

So you are saying Bitcoin mining does not hurt the environment? Come on, let's be fair here. Bitcoin mining draws gigawatts of power worldwide and generates a huge amount of e-waste every year. It doesn't make the environment any cleaner.

Besides, Btc just needs enough demand and capital flowing into it to hit $1 m. Gold mining industry doesn't have to collapse, nor does the whole world have to shift all its assets into Bitcoin for that to happen. The two can easily coexist.

What we are to do is to try to conduct a possibility test not probable but actual outcomes. Take:

Scenario 1(Bullish Scenario): This is a case where bitcoin reaches the million mark due to institutional investors significantly increasing their investments and bitcoin now becomes digital gold.

Scenario 2(Moderate Scenario): Bitcoin may continue to grow in value but don't get to the million dollar mark because of competition,  slower adoption or changing market condition.

Scenario 3(Bearish Scenario): Government can impose strict regulations, or investors lose confidence due to security against bitcoin or better alternative.

When we talk about the price of Bitcoin in 2030 or 2035, whether it can break through to the $1 million level, from some information about analysts and speculation that I have seen, it is theoretically possible, But there are two camps that provide realistic speculation about Bitcoin prices.

We understand and everyone knows that the current price of Bitcoin is still at the level between 80k - $82k, in my view it needs to jump high in the next 9 years for Bitcoin to reach the level of $1 million, it may take great stamina 10 to 12 times the jump to reach the $1 million point.

Now we return to the two camps I referred to above.
1. Speculation from the camp that believes/optimistic that Bitcoin's price will break through to the $1 million level where the camp speculates for the reason, scarcity, Institutional adoption and based on institutions, figures who adopt Bitcoin on a large scale.
2. Speculation from the unconvinced/skeptical camp, they say it will be difficult for Bitcoin's price to reach the $1 million level within the next 9 years, their speculation statement of $1 million is too exaggerated and far-fetched, the reason they are not sure is very simple, namely Volatility risk and also regulatory risk, market spikes are very high up to 10-12 times, such a situation requires a giant liquidity splash to target Bitcoin price to the $1 million level.

Replying to your second question when bitcoin will reach $1million and the question you’ve asked in your topic- Going by the historical trend of bitcoin from inception and how every new all time high is reached after every halving, one can say that bitcoin would reach $1 million or more just above the year you’ve mentioned in your post. If bitcoin always make a 100% increment at every ATH from the previous ATH, then it will take only 3 or more halving events to take place to see bitcoin reach that amount. This is just a prediction based on the overview of its development as other factors can happen that may delay it reaching at that time or could even happen before that time.
