A readable mirror of the bitcoin-dev mailing list is up at
learnbitcoin.com/archive: 24,699 messages in 3,292 threads, June 2011 to this week, refreshed daily.
What it does:
- One page per thread, messages in date order, quoted text folded, footers and signatures dropped, addresses obscured. Every message links to its original and has a permalink by Message-ID (/archive/m/<Message-ID>).
- Topic timelines: 37 of them (block size, SegWit, Taproot, covenants, RBF and mempool policy, privacy, quantum, the BIP process, soft fork activation, hard forks, mining, sidechains, light clients and so on), each every thread on the subject in date order with the related BIPs.
- A page for every BIP the list discussed (159), with the threads that proposed, revised or argued it.
- A page for everyone with ten or more messages (344), with their years, topics and threads. Spellings one address used are merged; if a merge is wrong, say so and it is fixed the same day.
- The numbers by year since 2011, and a feed of the latest threads.
Nothing is rewritten and there are no machine summaries on message pages; the words are the authors’. The only text of ours is the paragraph at the top of each topic. If a thread is mis-threaded, a topic is missing an obvious thread, or a name is wrong, post it here and it gets fixed and credited.
