What do you think?
Yes, it's possible to have that sort or record if the said whale sticks to only those two – BTC and ETH, and has just few trades taken on them. Someone with fewer trades taken stands a chance of keeping a clean sheet if they know what they're doing than someone who jumps in and out of trades. I am interested in knowing who that whale is and how your friend knows that he never made a mistake...
You can find that out through onchain tracking of addresses they've used in buying any coin. Once an address goes public, anyone who has time and vested interest can track the wallet activities. I admit that knowing the whale may be impossible, except one's able to trace their transactions to Cexs and are able to coax or arm twist someone at the Cex to trace the address and reveal who owns it. But it's an easy thing to see what their hodlings are on a particular address using tools.

While discussing amount friends, one among us who is always updated (up to the minute) on fundamentals and economic news made a statement that "a whale who has never been wrong just placed a long on BTC and ETH" apparently, this billionaire has never been wrong in all the times my friend has been watching his trades.
Does that even exist? Is this a form of insider trading or are certain persons so rich that they get access to tools and information that the general public aren't privileged to? Traders will go wrong and that is the rule. Now I always say without any remorse that I know a whale who has never been wrong and that they have said this and that. Of course my motive will not be clear to a newbie who has entered the market but those who have been in the market know better to not pay heed to such stuff. In any speculative market, we are not going to find a single soul who has always won. Either that person is trying to lure you into some scam or they are trying to sell you some product which is actually useless but made to appear as the method to be the perfect trader.

I can not say it's truth or not but why don't you ask for his name or anything about him that can allow us to verify this claim? If you give us more information about this genius whale, we can access ourselves and tell if it's true. You should not rely on information like this to make your trading decision. Always do your findings before you make a move. Anyone can say anything, unless there's a way to prove it's genuine claim for a reputable source, it's just a rumour. As far as I know, no one is absolutely accurate when it comes to trading. I know when are better than one another but I can not say someone is out there with absolute accuracy.

I don't believe there are traders who never make mistakes and always make a profit. Just imagine if such a thing existed, how a trader would open positions with high leverage and take all the profits. Always trade with risk. Especially for whales who trade with big funds. They may not trade all the time but they look for opportunities. It's just that this doesn't mean they never lose or always make money. Sometimes people might say things like that to attract others to participate in the trades they want to make.

I never believed anyone who says they have a 100% win rate. If your friend, who is always updated, made a statement like this, it doesn't validate what he says. He might have read fake or overhyped news, or might have read the title only because titles are meant to be like this when you don't care about the news haha, but only care about views. Well, maybe your friend did not read the whole report about that whale. Did you ask which whale it was, and did you ask more about the whale's history? I would have, and I would even have asked that friend to show me. I searched online and found nothing, but there had been a discussion about one whale who appeared to have a 100% win rate, but not for long. In just 21 days, his winning rate broke, he lost all his profit, and was left with only $1 million after losing around $28 million. https://panews.io/articles/dbd481d0-af34-446e-85ab-e5e7f38e570a

But it's an easy thing to see what their hodlings are on a particular address using tools. You can track some of their transfers, but OP sounded like one particular whale and never made a mistake, which is why I said it is not possible. And also we just assume that the transfers are trades when they move to a cex wallet but they can just do it without actually trading anything to manipulate the market as well, that is why we should not make a trading decisions based on alone the whale movements.

When we say something isn't possible or it's not true, the implied meaning is that we're saying that person is not telling us the truth. By extension, we're saying they're lying. If we don't have all the facts, I don't think it's a nice way of looking at things. Everyone of us has different reality and experiences of life. Sometimes, what we see; others don't see it(them). And to them, it's not possible. I think that's the situation here.

And to them, it's not possible. I think that's the situation here. You have a point, we all have different kind of experiences in this life and each one of us have seen things in a different way with different perspectives. For instance the issue of an argument occurring between one person and another is that they both have their own way of understanding something and they have witness some things in different way from the opposite person so they begin to argue and each person have their own opinion through the way they view things which is why they can’t come to an agreement with each other because everyone believe they are right through the way they see things in their own perspectives. Right now OP’s friend did have his own opinions which could be right just as you say and I think @Bitcoin smith have his own opinion on viewing things and he could be right too. Sometimes when both parties come together and see things in each other perspectives then they would get to understand that everyone has a point.

There is this pattern, why these people call themselves whales and 100% win on their trades. And that is because gullible people who have no idea of what they're saying will sell them courses and trading signals through telegram or any channel they'll use for free. If someone tells me that personally, I'll let them say that but in my head I'm laughing at them. The internet is full of clout and liars, and with AI they made things easier for people who don't verify first what information is being fed to them.

What is considered wrong? Typically people have different time frames. I remember being laughed at when I said Bitcoin was going to get into the thousands when it was falling from $5 to $2... Was I right or was I wrong? At the time people had no problem calling me wrong... Similar things are happening today. It is always a tricky balance when you know your words will be brought back up later to try and nail the short term and the long term in a way that will satisfy everyone in the future. That is why we adapt larger overall strategies that can explain both the downside and upside, like the 4-year cycle.

And you believe it? You can't argue with that person, but of course, you can't 100% trust his statements either. In this volatile market, I don't imagine someone like that exists. I can say someone really makes money, but I couldn't agree with saying they haven't committed a single mistake. In fact, known traders/whales admit they take losses, which means mistakes usually happen to everyone, not just some. It's clear there is no perfect trading strategy, so everyone experiences losses along the way. "There is no shame in being wrong, only in failing to correct our mistakes."

The market is filled with uncertainty so one can’t actually predict the future of the market . But with the right knowledge one can be able to speculate the market to some extent to see a glimpse of the market price direction using the historical data of the chart . There some folks who do get some insider information which usually give them good example when come to trading too but I doubt it will make one always right and never wrong when come to predicting or trading the market .

The market is unpredictable due to its volatile nature making it very difficult for any whale or anyone to always be correct on what the price of bitcoin will be in future. On October 10th 2025, many traders ran at big loss including whales.
If it's true that whales are always correct with their trades, they will take advantage of it and liquidate the exchange they're using to trade. In fact, whales are having more losses than making profit only if there's an insider information that will affect the market positively or negative in which they used to open a trade.
Actually it is true that whales are always right in their trades because they can analyze the market accurately but I don't agree with you that whales can liquidate the exchange used to trade, because you might know this too the exchange basically acts as a platform where users trade with each other, so in this context the main reasons why the exchange cannot liquidate are the peer to peer model, the automatic liquidation engine and the insurance fund. However we should all keep in mind that while whales cannot liquidate exchanges directly, their perfect trades can create these crises, such as liquidity crisis and system crash, wherefore at this stage it can be emphasized that it is impossible for a trader to never make mistakes.

How will you be a trader without even losing money, it’s not possible, anyone that tells you that he/she doesn’t make money as a trader is just deceiving you, I don’t care if the person is a whale or a normal trader, you just have to lose sometimes, I feel that’s part of trading. Lose is part of trading, if you are making profits, you should be prepared for the loss also, but as a trader, your profits should always be more than your loss, you have to look for ways to reduce your loss drastically, but we all should know that it’s cant be stopped.

Don't be deceived, as for me, I have never seen someone who has always been profitable in his trades over the time without losing, there is nothing like an insider work, trading is just based on our individual abilities and how we could interpret the market and get things right, very possible that one does not lose frequently, but it is merely impossible to see a trader who does not lose at all, this is just a statement being uttered and there is nothing he can use as a proof over it.

Then trading in Hyperliquid was more highlighted by the media because many whales were there to determine long/short positions, it turned out that many lost everything after making a profit, this means that there were no whale traders who continued to experience large losses. There are many misleading reports, there are valid reports, it's up to us to digest how accurate the news is.

Lots of people on this forum are holders and so far,,, none of them have been wrong about longterm price appreciation Some people just want to complicate things when they can chose the easier way around and be at peace. And even if you want to follow that certain whale, but in reality that does not exist. Big whales may be profitable but they are also losing a lot, and that's one thing that we can't deny with trading. But with DCAing and long term hodling, the risk is low compared to trading, yet some people are still hesitant which should be more prioritized, either they rush into trading or just settle with long term hodling.

And who can actually access trading tools and information with such an unpredictable market? Even the biggest whales are still trading at a loss, which means they don't have what it takes to perfectly trade in the market. Trading is highly risky, although the potential is high to make huge amount of income, but there are bigger chances too that a trader will lose his funds first due to unpredictable market changes in the market.

That's nearly impossible if not completely impossible. I haven't heard of a trader that has 100% win rate, whether it's a whale, medium, or small trader. It's possible that whale has other accounts as well which most of us do. A trader can't risk so much every time without testing the waters. No matter how good you are, there are times that your prediction is wrong even if it's proven you are already a profitable trader.
Just look at FOMO, those who have earned millions of dollars already, they also make mistakes.
It doesn't mean you are profitable, doesn't mean you don't make mistakes. The market is unpredictable, so, no matter how much you make and experience you have, a 100% win rate is impossible. That is the reality in trading.
