While discussing amount friends, one among us who is always updated (up to the minute) on fundamentals and economic news made a statement that "a whale who has never been wrong just placed a long on BTC and ETH" apparently, this billionaire has never been wrong in all the times my friend has been watching his trades.

This made me wonder, is there such a thing as a trader who has never been wrong? Does that even exist? Is this a form of insider trading or are certain persons so rich that they get access to tools and information that the general public aren't privileged to?

There's no trader on earth who has never been wrong. What I believe makes your friend make this statement is the trader's track record of winning trades that's high; when this happens, people ignore the losing trades.
If someone claims a whale has a perfect track record, the first question should always be show me the full history, including the losing trades. Most of the time, that history doesn’t exist or isn’t shared, and if it exists, some people make something look better than it was.

What I see personally about the whale's decision is that s/he is using the Bitcoin 4 years cycle for the trade.

AFAIK Baron Trump has a 100% PnL win rate. This kid doesn't have any skills besides 'insider trading' since his father was the US president and he had faster access to certain information that allowed him to take positions quickly and make guaranteed profits. So if there's a trader who never loses, it's probably because he has insiders who can give him information faster. If he only relied on technical or fundamental analysis, there's still a chance he could lose, that's what I think

What you just said is not far from the truth by this whale having or receiving an insider information, and probably has some sophisticated tools which they're using to trade the market, and aside the fact that this is a whale and he has the capacity to move the market with his amount of funds. However, I doubt someone that does have any information should be this correct with price direction, and some thorough investigation should be carried out on this whale.

It's impossible to be right all the time, you could see whales got hacked through address poisoning in the thread somewhere in the forum, you can't be 100% careful and right when dealing with crypto no matter how much information and tools you get, why are so many big boys exchange and casino platforms getting hacked while having every latest security measures, but no way.

Your friend might be hyping these whales too much and thinks they doesn't make mistakes, they do. And their mistakes often comes with heavy losses. You never see them shedding tears, maybe.

Exactly my thoughts on the subject. There can't be 100% perfection in anything, and when it comes to things like trading, it is obvious that a person cannot make perfect predictions for every single trade they make, and have a 100% profitable trading history. It is just that most people don't like sharing their losses as you said, or maybe people don't focus on that or don't want to discuss them for some reason, but it is not believable to think that a trader can have zero losses in their entire trading journey.

When a person has a lot of funds to begin with, it is possible that they might dodge most of the swings of the market by using those funds, but still, it is not possible that they never made any mistakes and never lost any trades even when they first started. Even whales can get greedy sometimes, because history has proof of whales making large future trades without any stop-loss losing large amounts in single trades, and even if stop-loss gets hit, it is basically consdered a loss.

One of the best ways to assess this whale is to look at all of the trades and not just the winning ones. A person may win when they're told which direction to play, but they can still lose money due to funding fees or timing. Large capital can also enable a trader to cope with some short term losses that would kill a smaller account. Before taking the next BTC or ETH long as a signal I would like to know the entry point, leverage, exit point, and max drawdown of that position.

Reliance on technical and fundamental analysis alone can be misleading sometimes because what controls the market the more is people's actions, so if a positive or bad new comes up in the market, just know that the market is going to react base on the type of news that came out. I also believe that their are some whales that are like Baron trump because they have easy access to top tier information before it finally happens, so their are chances that their may be whales that have never lost, but such type of persons may be very few.

This is how a new investor makes mistakes. Many investors lose a lot due to such mistakes in investment. Here you have given the example of BTC and ETH but on investment/trading platforms you will hear all such information from many traders and sometimes you will be tempted and buy beyond your financial capacity. But in reality you were served wrong information to lure you into investing. Some altcoin developers increase the sale of their coins by creating hype but very soon their value starts decreasing and you will lose your capital.

It is better not to follow a whale investor. Invest according to your financial capacity without being tempted by reason. Invest by analyzing the market and do not believe any hype.

It is almost certain that the price of Bitcoin may increase in the future due to structural reasons but it is better not to buy beyond your financial capacity through excessive emotion.

I don’t think so. Most of these whales are also losing money in trading, they can never be 100% sure always, they will have bad trades, but most of them don’t usually publish on their social media handles to see, simply not to discourage you, they will only post their profitable trades to encourage the audience.
Don’t be deceived by their winning trades always and think that they always make the right prediction in the market, they also lose money to trading because mo one is perfect as far as the crypto market is concern. We should always know the amount of risk we are taking no matter where we get the signals from.

Is it realistic at all? Trade analysis is always accurate. When a trader reaches the highest roots as a novice. Their chances of making mistakes are very low but there has never been a time when they are completely free from mistakes. When a whale plans for long-term investment, in that case, there is a possibility of that observation being implemented. Because they are knowledgeable enough to observe and make decisions based on previously formed data.

There is  no such thing or person as a "whale that has never been wrong", a lot of signal channels on telegram and handles on X use this type of line a lot, and I believe they do this on purpose for some reason, and one of the reasons I think is to get readers curious, a lot of naïve people will believe such line to be true when its absolutely not.

Making mistakes, being wrong sometimes is a common and general human threat, no body on this planet earth is so perfect to the point that they can not make mistakes, or be wrong about something sometimes, especially when it comes to stuffs like the market where movement of assets prices are extremely hard to correctly predict, except the person is not a human being, for those who believe strongly in spirituality.

 It's just like asking if there's any gambler that's never lost before, such kind of people doesn't exist cause lose is inevitable likewise in trading, those people who claim they've never been wrong would only show you their gains but behind the scenes they have loses too even though it's not very much.
 I'll never believe anyone who say they've had 100% success rate in trading, that's not possible, even if the person is an insider trader, I mean being opportuned to get info from exchanges, it doesn't guarantee that they’ll always be successful.
