From the looks of it their whole career they have the same weakness,,, but you cannot learn and improve everything right? In football team sports you keep adjusting when people find your weakness. Boxing the same?
Agreed, adjustment happen in boxing too. However this will not align with football. Oponent can exploit any boxer's weakness. But it is not possible to fix all technical problem in the middle of fight. In training camp, one can work on footwork, defensive reaction, distance management and counterpunching. But executing those thing under pressure on fight night is extremely tough.
In Haney vs Paro, what I am looking to see is whether Haney will just retreat and focus on defense? Or will he create angle by controlling Paro's lead hand? And will Paro go straight for chase or will he be able to cut off the ring and trap Haney near ropes?
Thanks for the explanations. In football it can be more complex,,, it is changing the mindset and stance of 11 players + subs, rather than 1 person alone. So in a way, sports like boxing seems way more possible for me to improve on specific areas, but I always remember my PE teacher talk about a peak, and that to improve to 81% from 80% takes 100 times more time than from 79% to 80%, and this is why we must invest our time in putting everything at 80% and not 1 thing at 85% while ignoring 10 other things.
