  Mpape should not do a repeat of the mistake that, he did few about three years ago when he left Paris for Madrid and is struggling now to win trophies , which to me has been the deciding factor when it comes to Mpape wining the Ballon Dior especially this season which he was very close to wining. Lack of patience was the main reason why he left PSG to Madrid, and today PSG are back to back winners of the champion's league. I believe that Madrid under Mourinho is having a plan and is in a rebuilding process, so Mpape should not do the mistake of leaving Madrid with the hopes of wining trophies elsewhere because,it doesn't work that way.

Lamine Yamal is the top choice when it comes to Barcelona only, Mbappe really stand a chance winning next year if only Real Madrid can play better meanwhile Lamine Yamal is another strong opponent.
I doubt if Haaland is really in for such challenge, probably he might stand a chance viewing how he performed well during the World Cup although compared to league performance this season, Haaland is not so active this time I guess the season is too early but with such performance I’m not going to include Haaland in the debate, obviously Mbappe and Yamal viewing the odds gives a clear picture.

Among all the favourite candidate to win the ballon D'or, mbappe was the best in terms of quality and goals return, so I was quite surprised that Harry Kane was given the award. Even Yamal that won the world cup and was very instrumental to the team and with Barcelona was ignored for Harry Kane that won only the bundesliga title only, that's why I believe that the award is not transparent.

Mbappe and yamal will be up there competing for the ballon D'or award again next year, but that will depend on the performance of their respective teams this season.

This is a good time to play for Bayern Munich. It was heartwarming to see an English player like Harry Kane winning the Ballon D’or under a German club and when he was in Tottenham the club could not guarantee him a chance to take the trophy simply because his efforts were overshadowed by the inconsistent performance of the club. Bayern made such dream a reality. This season Kane has not score many goals yet with this total goals reading 4 making him the 6th highest goal scorer in Bundesliga this season so far and Olise , his number one fan at the Ballon D’or ceremony is the second in the list with 6 goals in total. Kylian Mbappe at 18% is literally free money. If he puts up performances close to what he did in 2025/2026 season and during the World Cup, then we might just win it. Because if we think about it, Mbappe has been one of the most consistent players in recent years and I think he is overdue for a Ballon d'Or award next sesaon. Another person I'm rooting for is Olise. He is doing good and has been consistently contributing both goals and assists when he is on the pitch for Bayern.

You are very correct, it is actually still too early to start talking about who would win the next Ballon D’Or, it is barely a week Harry Kane won it so why the rush, mind you Kane have dreamt and hoped of winning the Ballon D’Or for years beyond count, if luck have shined on him this year, it will be better for us to give him a good celebration for his dedication, persistence and achievement, rather than to immediately start talking about next Ballon D’Or, let us take time to celebrate this wining and make it memorable amongst fans so that the beauty of winning the Ballon D’or will be preserved.

I didn't expect you to jump into this debate so quickly. Kane only won the Ballon d'Or the other day. I think Yamal could win the next one, and I think it would be great to see him win it. He's the youngest and one of the most talented players, of course, his achievements with Barcelona will play a key role. And yes, there are some players missing from the list. I also found it strange that Raphinha wasn't included.

I see Raphinha and Yamal as being pretty close. I think either of them could win the Ballon d'Or.
