To my newbies in the house good day and also to everyone. We do always use to hear about hackers online and also here in the forum we talk about hackers online too. But today am going to be talking about physical street security. What the outcome or what happens if you come across bad boys or even bad officers, if they hold you and forces you to open your crypto wallet app right in front of them ?

If you are being threatened to show your main balance, you will be forced to transfer everything. This are the reasons why every street smart person needs a Dummy Wallet.

The Secret of the 25th Word (Passphrase)
Most of our beginnings don’t really know this, when we create wallets source as Ledge, Trezor even software wallets. A custom Passphrase can be added on top your 24 words, with this it act like a 25th word.

Here’s the magic
1. If you enter with just your 24 words it will just open Wallet A
2. Then again at the other hand if you enter with your 24 word plus your 25th secret word it will open your Wallet B. That a complete different hidden wallet apart from the Wallet A.
How to use this on the street
Your huge money or I will call it your life savings should be kept hidden inside your wallet B.
Your wallet A should carry just little amount to like the range of $15 to $20.

In a situation were you might be forced to open your wallet or even threatened to hand over seed phrase, all you just give out is your normal 24 words that to Open Wallet A. All they have access to is your little funds in Wallet A without knowing that Wallet B is in existence.

We should do well to protect ourselves offline just as we do online. The decoy should be given out while the real Stash be safe with you.
STAY SAFE YOUR ALL OUT THERE (Son $f Grace Cares ✌️)

I will assume that since you’re new although not most recently new you have read of the discussion around decoy wallets, it’s still the same thing as what you wrote on this thread and this has been discussed multiple times on the forum and it helps against wrench attack even if its home attack.

But the first thing is privacy because most people would most definitely have sold themselve out with earlier on with the amount of coins they have and so when they show the attackers the decoy wallet they definitely won’t believe.

Just like you said an attacker cannot simply walk up to you on the street and demands for your crypto wallet they must definitely have information about it. Or even if they check your phone to see wallets there you should at the start not be having large amount of coins on any hot wallet

I know that not everyone will experience a wrench attack, but nevertheless, we also have to be more careful with the use of any app on our device; once they don't know what you do or hold, it is very likely they may not target you for any reason. Most of those you see who fall for their trap in this kind of attack have already given clues unknowingly.

And this is one of the benefits of privacy: if you maintain it, you are most likely not to fall under this kind of attack.

Wrench attacks are already mentioned in the [General] Crypto scams, attacks and malware, so I'm locking this for now.

If you feel like your example adds something, feel free to repost the OP in the general topic.
