This will be very good news for the American traders in the cryptospace community. According to this article  Kraken will begin to offer regulated perpetual futures trading! This is being made possible through the usage of the Hyperliquid platform where Kraken can list markets with onchain allowlists which will filter users who have gone through identification confirmation.

I like American

Hyperliquid (CRYPTO: $HYPE) said Monday it intends to make Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, the first deployer on its HIP-3 markets regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, a step toward regulated U.S. perpetual futures trading on the decentralized protocol.

The plan depends on a HIP-3 upgrade that would let deployers restrict access to their markets through onchain allowlists. That could allow regulated operators to build on Hyperliquid's infrastructure while meeting applicable requirements. It remains unclear how the permissioning would work in practice, including whether a market deployed by Payward would include built-in know-your-customer checks.

According to what I read, trading derivatives is possible on Coinbase in the United States, but only to eligible Coinbase customers.

Also some people living in United States are access it through brokers.

It will be good if exchanges like Kraken also support it though Hyperliquid just like how exchangs supported prediction markets. But as some people think this is a good development, it will be the reason some people will easily lose their cryptocurrencies because derivatives trading is very risky.
