The meaning of financial freedom is relative. It could be living a debt-free life, retiring early, or having control over your time. It doesn't necessarily mean becoming wealthy. You also don't need to quit working to attain financial freedom. Attaining a level where conventional jobs are not a forced requirement to survive is financial freedom. Some people who live off-grid might have attained financial freedom by cutting expenses.
No, financial freedom is not relative. Being debt-free is not financial freedom; it's simply what its name says: "debt-free".
Having control over your time is not financial freedom. Right now, I have 100% control over my life and time. I can work when I want and don't work when I don't want to. I can wake up tomorrow and decide to take a road trip for the next week, but it doesn't mean I am financially free because if I decide to stop working, I will go broke. So that is not financial freedom.
Speaking of "early retirement". Another concept that is exaggerated on this forum. How many people do you know that retired early? Another idea that only works in theory, but practically, very few people retire early. And whoever retires early has made a lot of money that he never needs to work again.
There are no hard-and-fast rules for getting wealthy. Early Bitcoin adopters didn't create anything. Yet some of them who held their coin might not need to work until they die because Bitcoin made them stupendously wealthy.
Yes, I knew someone would mention early adopters of Bitcoin.
You need to understand that there are exceptions. There are people who were born into wealth. There are people that wealth was willed to them, but all these are exceptions.
What percentage of the world do you think were among the early Bitcoin adopters who bought and held Bitcoin till they became wealthy from it? Less than 0.05% of the world. So you can't use that for a sample size.
majority of the people that got wealth actually had to offer something. It could be their skills, their product, their service, whatever it is. You don't become wealthy by investing alone because the little you have to invest is not enough to make you wealthy, except you are extremely lucky, and we both know luck is not a strategy.
I never said there is a hard and fast way to get wealthy, so I don't know where that came from.
I wouldn't dispute your opinion about financial freedom because that's your perception. However let me state that concepts about human behaviour are always relative. The reason is that humans don't see things the same way. This is why concepts have different definitions based on the writer's perception.
What Is Financial Freedom?Regarding wealth creation you are right that the population of people who attain it luckily are few. But atleast they exist. But you should also know that the concept of wealth is also relative and absolute.
