For crypto casinos here, I haven't seen a similar case like that... I think fiat casinos and crypto casinos are just different.
Exactly the difference. With offshore crypto books, there's no gaming board to appeal to. If your bad-odds bet loses, they stay quiet and keep your money. If it hits, they pull the "palpable error" card, refund the stake, and call it a day. Pure one-way street. Too bad and unfair. This is where we need proper regulatory bodies to resolve such disputes and ensure that neither party takes advantage of the situation. In a proper system, where the bookies are aware that they are being monitored, they will do the right thing. Because there is no effective regulator, the bookies make all the decisions, and such decisions are usually in their own favour, except in cases where higher authorities intervene.

Bookmakers and casinos always take advantage of gamblers because they're in charge. Any error that happened from wrong odd number should be on the casino and not on the winner because if an error males you to lose big, they wouldn't refund you back your funds but keep it a secret and they'll be happy.
I don't like it when only the gambler take full responsibility of any error from the casino. It's unfair and a cheat on the gambler.

This has not yet happened to me since I used Stake.com years ago, and still counting. All my "Void" bets came from a game that was suspended due to weather issues, and some were because of events that happened in the place where the game would be played. A void from a mistake by the sports bookies is very rare, and if ever they do, they should stop it before the game even starts. Not at the end. If they miss it, then I believe they should accept the consequences of either paying the players who bet on it or giving them something that will help avoid unnecessary rants and rage.
Reputable casinos will not allow their reputation just go into the mud by not acting when in such a case like this. It is rare to happen but when it does, how a casino handles such case in the interest of their customer is what’s most important. Variation in odds is normal and that shouldn't be a reason they cancel a bet that’s already won because they made a little mistake in the odds which is mostly insignificant when compared to what other casino offer for that same game. Even on a loss bet, if there was an error in the odds, they should act right and not allow their own selfish interest make them act unjustly, it will affect them going forward and won’t be trusted.

I think it would be ideal of the sport book also took part of the responsibility when comes to errors like those. Instead of refunding all the money of withholding it, they should allow the gambler to keep a percentage of the money as a way to apologize with all the inconvenience. You know, the whole point of the casino and bookie is keep people coming so they can continue to win money. The moment the bookie starts to disrespect and mistreat their bettors, it is the beginning of the end of the service. Thankfully, it has never happened to me, but I know it is rather a fairly common occurrence on some bookies, to have one's bet cancelled because of some allegedled mistake by either the bookie or the odds provider.

Few days ago I came across a post on Twitter where someone was calling out a particular sportsbook for refusing to pay after it seemed like the bet was settled but for more than 24 hours his win didn't reflect in his bet account and he didn't get a word from the sportsbook until he called them out. It turned out that the bet was settled incorrectly probably due to mistakes from the site or because they didn't really observe the bet until it was properly reviewed for payment which is totally wrong because they are supposed to spot those things quickly. When the match is over and it might be settled as a win it doesn't mean that it cannot be voided, there are lots of things that can affect your potential wins.

I understand if someone gets odds of 20.0 instead of 2.00. That's obviously a mistake.
But what happens when the odds are just slightly off the market — say 2.20 instead of 1.95? Different sportsbooks offer different odds all the time.
They can't void a game for such a small difference. If it was a much bigger odds difference like the 20 and 2 you mentioned, then they have a right to void it according to their TOS. The worst that can happen in this case is to correct the total odd and potential win of the player, but I have not seen or heard it happen before. And more importantly, has anyone ever seen a bookmaker void a "palpable error" bet that ended up losing? Or does the mistake only get noticed when the player wins?
A very long time ago, I remember when a local sportsbook in my country made an error and placed very big odds on Aguero not to score. A lot of people took the opportunity, and Aguero later scored. A lot of people would have won, but the game was voided. I didn't play the game because when I knew about it, the odds had already been corrected, but I knew a lot of people who played.

Are you sure this is in the terms and conditions of the gambling sites? I have not seen it before on any gambling sites terms and conditions or maybe I did not get the part very well. A good gambling site should not make this kind of stupid error. I have not seen this kind of error before on any gambling sites that I have used to bet before and till now.

I have not encounter or heard of this. Though there are times I would mistakenly clicked on the wrong odds and submitted them but since I couldn't edit it. I would let it go but what I normally do at that time is to time the Cashout and once it pop up and it is close to the potential winning or close to the stake amount I would cashout. But having a void bet after when the match has ended is strange for me. I don't know if it is happening in other casinos, but I have not seen it in the casinos I am using.

When you read the ToS, you will see a section that says something like that. They say they have the right to cancel any bet if they see irregularities after investigation. They don't usually spell out in simple terms that they will void a game if a mistake was made in the odds. They say it in a broader way that includes any form of irregularity, including match fixing and all. A good gambling site should not make this kind of stupid error.
It's not something that happens often. It happens very rarely, so you can't say they are not a good gambling site simply because of an error that happens once in 5-10 years. If it happens often, then fine, but it doesn't. Mistakes happen. These days, I think technology has gotten more advanced, so those things might not happen anymore.

That is you picking the odds you didn't want to, it has nothing to do with the casino. I believe you are talking about a situation where for example, you wanted to bet on 1, but you end up clicking 2. That's a user error and different from what the OP is talking about. But having a void bet after when the match has ended is strange for me. I don't know if it is happening in other casinos, but I have not seen it in the casinos I am using.
It is not the most common thing in gambling platforms. How many times could they possibly make a palpable mistake with their odds. E.G. a City v Brentford game, with odd of 20.50 for city and 4.70 for Brentford, that's a palpable mistake, and the chances of it happening is slim to none, but if it does and people take advantage of it, they reserve the right to void the bets.

No, I have not seen or experienced such before, so I cannot tell if it only happens when a player won. Have you ever had a settled, winning bet cancelled retroactively under this rule?
Yea, I have had a bet cancel in the past and my money returned to my gambling balance after the game was suspended when it was close to the end of the game, but up until today, I cannot tell why it was cancelled, even though they later came back into the pitch and finished the game. I was happy for that decision because my team was in a losing position, and if it had ended that way without the cancellation, I would have lost my bet, but I was happy with that decision because it was favourable to me.

I never knew anything like this (or maybe didn't want to find out) because for big odds differences it might be understandable but when small differences occur for each site I will just take this as a reason because it might be some consideration of some data models that the site developers and bookmakers have.
It all comes down to the algorithm and while small differences do occur for some sites including the big ones I don't feel that this is a problem especially with odds of 0.xxx that even I never care because maybe I'm just a small gambler who sees that the presence or absence of this difference in odds will not change much on the profit that I can get when winning in betting.

If there's such error, I don't think the casino should void the game, it's their error and they should take responsibility for it and reward the player, because they were the ones that allowed the person to stake in the game without detecting any error.
The problem with casinos is that they don't like to lose, whatever the case maybe as long as it's something still within their jurisdiction to change they are definitely going to do that, it's not fair because it's actually a mistake from them but they don't care about that. This is the reason why they withhold players wins for hours a lot of times before disclosing the errors in the odds. Bookmakers and casinos always take advantage of gamblers because they're in charge. The casino should at least give the gambler a bonus or something but in most cases all they give is just an apology for the error that were made. This isn't something that happens often though and I haven't really experienced this with any of the bookies or casino I have used.

Just little difference like such will not make a betting site void or delay a payout. The odd is not more than 1.05 and some gambling site can make the mistake. As I have posted earlier, some gambers see the loophole as an expected value bet which they take advantage of. Many gamblers may not even notice it. Gambling sites do not want to lose, but not in this kind if situation.

Not long ago, I placed a bet on the Augsburg vs Bayern match. I placed it early before the match started and picked a draw at odds of around 3 or 4 (I can't quite remember). After the match ended, I proudly rushed to open the betting site I used, only to be surprised that my balance was still the same as before. When I checked my bet slip, I saw that it was marked as void. I have no idea what the problem was, but honestly, this was really annoying.

During my time gambling in sports betting I have never experienced any errors or cancellations by the bookie, maybe because my bets are small, it is unethical for bookies to cancel bets unilaterally because of their own mistakes, moreover the market they provide should be final, I am curious if the bookie cancels because of the market error they input, will everyone be affected or only users with large bets LOL

Yes sportsbooks can void a winning bet after the match is over. Although it has never happened to me before, but a friend of mine has experienced it many times. The day he told me about it, I doubted him until he showed me the bet slip, so believed him. However, whether it is justified depends on the bookmaker's rules and the circumstances because, the fact that a bet has been won doesn't automatically mean the bookmarks can never change its settlement.

I have experienced this at a particular time if I could remember clearly but didn't know what it meant, but since I have been gambling after that time for so long a period now I think that was a way the platform had to cover their own error. The casino would use that excuse so as not to destroy their own reputation and the funny thing that beats my mind is when most casino platforms use that same excuse as a way to avoid paying out a huge win. So I guess when it comes to sportsbook, they can void any bet at any time to protect their edge and call it whatever they wish to.

When ever there’s a big mistake bet sites do use their rule to cancel bets, example like giving 20.0 odds instead of 2.00. The double standard is the real issue. In a case where the player makes mistake and losses the site keeps the money, but when the site makes mistake and losses they cancel the bet instead. It really unfair we’re the system can’t pay their own errors.

I was reading through some sportsbook rules regarding "Palpable Errors" and something seems a bit unfair.
If a bettor enters the wrong stake or clicks the wrong team by mistake, customer support will simply tell you: "All bets are final once confirmed."
Yet many sportsbooks reserve the right to cancel bets even after the event has finished if they claim the odds were incorrect.
I understand if someone gets odds of 20.0 instead of 2.00. That's obviously a mistake.
But what happens when the odds are just slightly off the market — say 2.20 instead of 1.95? Different sportsbooks offer different odds all the time.
And more importantly, has anyone ever seen a bookmaker void a "palpable error" bet that ended up losing? Or does the mistake only get noticed when the player wins?
Have you ever had a settled, winning bet cancelled retroactively under this rule?
You would have the same problem like always: you can either sue them or they would ignore your requests and would deny paying out your winnings. Let's imagine for a moment that this happens and you can force them to come to court and it would have to be settled. It would probably all be about reasonability. I don't know about such a case in detail, but what would happen if a court checks the odds from the 20 biggest providers in the industry, all have 1.95 and you have 2.20? In my opinion you should still win and be entitled to get your money, probably through a mutual settlement that will leave you with an amount less than what you should get. There are bookmakers that offer you odds based on new facts like a goal and then the goal is taken back because of VAR, they adjust everything but your bet stands. I learned the hard way that I should give it some time before submitting a new bet. They have it in their T&C that they are not responsible, but I would question that these T&C hold true. It is them who immediately provide new markets and don't wait for potential VAR interventions. It's wrong I think and it is their task to ensure they offer markets that are true, can't be taken back and if it happens, bets should be void whether that is to a customer's advantage or not. The important part is that they do it immediately.
