The issue of void bets being discussed now are very possible, but that does not mean that the bookmakers are being fair. If only their is a system where the gamblers and challenge these decisions and get these issues resolved fairly so no party feels cheated. Right now, it is very obvious that the bookmakers have the final decision to make.
Whether they are always fair or not is not always the issue, but the issue is that gamblers who lose their bets often don't look back to see if a bet has been voided because if it did, they can ask for a refund for the bet they had made and lost, because if there was an issue with the odds and the bookmaker has cancelled the bets and taken the money back from those who won the bet, then losers also have the right to get their funds back, but as I said, the problem can only be resolved or reach a fair conclusion if the bettor tries and asks the support or the management to clear them as well.
When it comes to casinos and bookmakers, they will obviously not just refund your money if you had lost the bet even if they have voided that particular game and all its bets, because they would not want to return funds where they aren't having to pay anything from their side, even though they should.
I think it is the responsibility of regulators or license providers to make casinos impose this rule where if they void a game and take the funds back from the winners when the mistake was done by them, then they should be obliged to refund the funds of the losers of that game as well.
