So the two funds are USA company Templeton based.

They are FIBT
They are FBEQ

They aim to stay at 95% stock and 5% Btc/after

So if btc is whaling the fund will shift the btc section into the stock section.

Here is what I mean you have 1000 bucks worth of the fund.

Btc would be 50 and stocks would be 950

A big rally hits btc moves to 120k your fund would be 75 btc and 950 stock so some of the btc shifts to the stock.

This investment is strictly for hedging.

If you have a lot of btc and want a hedge this could  work.

When it opens I will get some from robinhood.com

As I do not need all btc.

To be transparent I am 69 and will be 70 in January.

I DO NOT WANT ALL MY MONEY IN BTC. I do not have the luxury of saying hold it since 70 is not very young.

I COULD see people over 60 with good coin wanting this as a second choice just in case. I PICKE YES.

I've read this and yeah instead of just usual stocks + bonds combination, this one goes with stocks + bitcoin but personally I think this is designed for a 'lazy' investor because fund will instantly trim your bitcoin holding every quarter if it makes profit.

Again I personally dont think I would need someone to keep trimming my bitcoin every time it makes profit out of that 5% portfolio for 0.09% fee as I can do it myself but yeah if someone is too busy or too lazy to do all that then this could be an option especially when that person is new on crypto scene however this is also with bitcoin ETF exist

I’ll give it a miss. I don’t live in the US, but even if I did, I wouldn’t buy it. For my investment portfolio, I have my index funds, and as for my Bitcoin holdings, I manage those myself using my private keys. I’m not interested in a hybrid product from a third party. We’ll have to see if there’s a demand for it, but it’s not the sort of product for me.

I'm so glad to see someone of your stature say this. Because I'm not I guess a Maximalist in any way. Why? Because I'm at a middle age stage of my life, I have a lot of financial problems, and I know real life is not the way Bitcoin people seem to see it, especially if you're not in Europe or USA.

I like BTC a lot. It helped me SO MUCH. But I need security and guarantees especially I do not know how long more I have a job or even good health too. I love my goverment bond options. It guarantees my money, and gives fixed returns. I cannot forever hold BTC always worried it gets stolen or lost or I lose my memory and my family loses it etc.

So yes, such an option would be great for me if my country offered it, I would actually increase my BTC holdings in this case.

Well your concern is reasonable and there's no need for us to become a Bitcoin maximalist. Lots of good investment option exist and I think in that case its good to diversify to avoid getting burned on single investment option only.

Also situation is different for each investors, I think those people capable to do long term and focus only on Bitcoin. Are young individuals and have capability to hide like let their money sleep in their wallet for many months.

I don't have much knowledge about the option mentioned on OP, but it seems interesting to try if this is just available in our country to. But will study if its really worth to try or better to ignore it.

Wouldn't it be easier to hedge BTC holding with a very low leverage short on perps? The funding is positive most of the times so you will end up getting paid with it.

Unless your ''hedge'' scenario only implies that stocks greatly outperform BTC while it still not dumping but rather being flat or growing slower? What's the thesis here? You're still not protected from both classes of assets entering a deep correction or even a bear market.

Why do I need to waste my time opening a centralized asset fully controlled by the US government when I already have the privilege of considering my Bitcoin investment and increasing my portfolio in it? This may be a good idea for those who are seeking diversification and want to invest some portion of their assets into these stocks, but for someone like me, I'm not at that stage yet. Well, for now, I'm still limited to Bitcoin investment.

I would say that btc + the mine is about 45% of the value above

All of above is not a ton of value as it is under 300k total, but it is all relative as I live in New Jersey USA and it is expensive to live here.

Is $4000 a month good in Vietnam?

AI Overview
Yes, $4,000 a month is a very high income in Vietnam that affords a very comfortable or luxurious lifestyle.

What $4,000 a Month Buys
For a single person: $4,000 a month is excessive for pure spending—allowing for a high-end serviced apartment in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi ($850–$1,500), regular dining at Western restaurants, private healthcare, and frequent travel, while still saving a large portion of your income. A standard comfortable single lifestyle only costs about $1,200 to $1,800 a month.

For a family: $4,000 a month easily covers a family of four or more, paying for a spacious multi-bedroom apartment, local and western groceries, domestic trips, and daily expenses. However, if you plan to enroll multiple children in expensive international schools, tuition fees can quickly consume a large chunk of that budget.
Cost Comparison
According to data shared via Yahoo Finance from International Living, the overall cost of living in Vietnam is roughly 61% lower than in the United States.

Yup and its not like I trust my government at all, but a guaranteed safety net from them is better than nothing, I've just been burnt too many times. I live in a relatively stable country and they have bailed out investors before (we had a famous bank go bankrupt in the 90s) and even covered all deposits more than the minimum that was covered.

I love BTC but I don't trust my fate Smiley If I suddenly die or something, at least my bonds will go to my family.

Still that's just diversification, there's no hedge as all these assets are still somewhat correlated and will most likely stay correlated.

For example, Bitwise project BTC to American Equity correlation over the next 10 years to be around 0.43, but they are extremely bullish on BTC with the base case target of $1.6M per BTC by 2036 so the actual correlation is going to be way higher if the target price is not reached [1]:

To gain a ''hedge'' exposure you'd need to have some short or put options, otherwise the downside move would hurt you and there's absolutely no guarantee that equities will compensate for it.

Another option is to find an inversely correlated to BTC class of assets but I don't really know of any. Could be defence stocks (they are not until they are) if the ethical side of the matter is not of concern, but still not guaranteed at all.
