Hello Nigerian friends
Google Pay and Google Wallet are already available in our country, which will facilitate fast easy and secure digital payments for Android and Wear OS users across the country. Also it appears that four banks are already supporting these are GTBank, FirstBank, UBA and Zenith Bank Even the advantage of this google pay is that those who will use this google pay, after some shopping in the store,Will be able to pay by tapping the phone on the app and online.
By the way, I don't know if this post is right for politics section, actually since it is a discussion on economic issues, it should be discussed in the economic section but we don't have an economic child board in this Naija local board.

Google announced the launch on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, a day after UBA said it had switched on Google Pay for its cardholders. Besides payments, the app stores boarding passes, event tickets, and loyalty cards. Early users on X have shared screenshots of GTBank Mastercard debit cards added to the app and marked ready to tap.
