Op, I can understand your pains and frustrations for seeing your posts being deleted, but again he can't just delete your post just like that or maybe something isn't right. But insulting our moderator in such a manner wasn't a good idea at all. I think there are more better and civilized way you would've presented this case than this way you just did. However, i don't think igebotz deserved that, and I really wish you can have a rethink and apologize to him because that is absolutely the least I expected from someone like you.  We are all Nigerians and according respect to whom it's due is one of our major culture and symbol. Please let us let peace rain.

You may not want a whole 100% of the forum to like you because one thing you should know is that not everyone who may talk good about you. There's everything possible that the user could have learnt from his mistake and put more efforts what they are writing. They'd tell you the forum champions "free speech" but you'd never see them doing it to those who deleted hundreds of their spams outside of the local board, sending daily abusive DM to other mods or to the user who placed a ban on their signature space. Lol  

Edit: Hopefully they'd use their short ban to look into the mirror, reflect on their actions and come back a better person to the forum and maybe avoid my DM for good.

I understand you are angry about your posts being  deleted by the moderator but should you insult him before you can express your feelings?  I understand that you are deeply hurt but there are more mature ways to express your feelings than this

Igebotz is a leader and a human being too.  Remember that nobody is perfect, even if he has offended you in ways that are displeasing to you, calling him offensive names is an insult to the whole LB.  See let me tell you what you may already know, when you insult igebotz,  you are insulting everyone in the LB.  so please, that's enough.  Be a man and put yourself together.

I'm disappointed reading through this thread.

Outside the forum, things aren't better. The country is in total disunity and we continue to live in fear among one another sleeping with one eye closed because we don't trust the next person close to us. We understand the reason behind that in real life but can't we change the narrative for once? If you scroll through Facebook, twitter and other social media, it's banter upon banter everyday with one attacking other on daily basis. This forum is a discussion and educational platform, we shouldn't bring such character here. Since we are already divided outside, we should not be divided here for goodness sake.

Op, you have right to express your opinion but I think you over do it. There's a saying that he who calls for equity must have a clean hand. Insult is usually considered as a weapon of weakness and in the end, it doesn't still give you what you want. I believe we are all here as a learned person and we are expected to resolve our differences amicably.

igebotz, you're trying to do your best as a moderator. Obviously, you can not please everyone at the same time and that's a general challenge that every leader usually face. I commend your effort because it's really difficult trying to maintain balance amongst different people with different characters. However, I will suggest you to improve in responding to your pm. The easier way to communicate with someone in the forum is the pm and you left them with no choice but public thread if you're not responding to them.

Some people can be annoying, I know. But regardless of the manner and approach, please find time to respond to their pm with much details as possible. We owe no one any explanation and replying to pm is your personal choice as well but please doing so is a sign of transparency and help some of us to learn. Not responding at all is the reason why some people perceive it as being bossy. Responding doesn't mean you should change your opinion if you're right just the way we saw with the case of some sigbans. Most of them reported they pm Nutilda and he responded even thou he never reverse his decision.

We are one Nigeria and we can do better than this.

Sending this sort of unsolicited PM's in the forum is not appreciated and it does not fall under the umbrella of free speech, it is borderline harassment and i myself do not like such an approach. I love it that the forum champions free speech and i like to talk about it here in our local board, where a lot of people get very emotional for nothing, but spaming another users PM is no way to go.

@Sexylizzy2813, i’m not here to glaze or dick-ride anybody cos last last me i no really send anybody like that, but if you feel that your posts have been unjustly deleted without any reasonable explanation, the best way to go about it is come out with proof of your deleted posts/topics and give reasons why you feel that those deletion’s were unwarranted or unfair and then let the moderator in question give proper explanations as to why your posts/topic were deemed fit for deletion; i assume he has no reason to be reluctant about it because even though he is the Mod of our LB, he can still be held accountable when the need arises, infact he owes us accountability to some certain extent.

At that point sef, even we the general Naija LB community can now weigh in on those reasons to see if they were actually justified or not and then reach a verdict, naso these things suppose be, we are not wild animals, little conflicts like this do not always have to erupt into insult hurling, there’s a reason we have God given intellect, so don’t let emotions get in the way of us using it.

Well, this is uncalled for my dear, you and igebotz have no personal and or physical relationship, both of you may also never have had any fallout on this forum but even if there was, I don't know igebotz as someone who hold grudges or allow emotions becloud his sense of reasoning, so there is no way he would have deleted/locked a topic you created if the post was good enough and doesn't merit such action.

So instead of hauling insults, simply see how you can improve, always remember its not by force to create a topic, so if you have nothing sensible to bring to the table for discussion, simply keep to contributing to other user's topics through comments, if merit is what you are chasing after, you can always earn merit from comments so long as your comment makes sense.

So please cut this crap and lets maintain and promote positive energy around here.

We all have different opinions when it comes to our take on this forum, and nobody is above making mistakes, but are we correcting ourselves or rebuking each other the moment someone tries to put us on the right track?.

One thing I have always learned about this forum is that we keep learning, and we cannot know it all. When you are also trying to correct someone, let the person understand the reason why you are making such an observation, and let him see how he could understand along with you at the same time. Every one of us has one or two things to do in common, and we must also respect each other.

But I can tell you vividly that someone being a moderator has more experience than someone who isn't, not by virtue of being earlier to the forum or something else, but I believe most have also been taught many aspects of the forum and posting patterns that we are not aware of, which is part of the qualities they must have also developed individually that bring them to the position they are in today.

Don't take this as an insult or a rebuke, but an open apology to everyone concerned here because the forum is meant to be for fun. A good politician does not make enemies because they understand the games in playing politics. As a forum member, keep to learning and also see every other member as part of your community, as well as the moderator. Try as much as possible to also understand the reason why your post may be low quality or placed on an off-topic board.

I totally understand how you feel bro, but the truth is Igebot that I know does not delete posts that makes sense. Remember what makes sense to you is likely not to make sense to some people, maybe it might seem like off topic to some people especially the moderator. I'm not here to take side with anybody rather, I'm just stating the fact. And if you feel he's being sentimental or not doing his job properly why don't you show a prove of the post that he deleted that made you think that he's being sentimental or not doing his job properly because your statement can  only be true if there's experimental evidence to support it. What you're doing now is more like (side talk) or trying to gain recognition because you clearly do not have any prove about what you're saying. and mind you! you're not the only person whose post was deleted of course there are other members here who has the same experience here but they chose to keep it to themselves because they feel it is not worth discussing here and considering the good reputation we have built they wouldn't want to ruin it with this little thing.
