Didn't see any prohibition for newbies to join, the important thing is to ensure that you join this prediction using only one account & it will be safe:

Newbie accounts allowed?

Newbies are welcome to join for this contest but if I start seeing newbie accounts recently made trying to join I will exclude those users. Let's play fair folks, don't use multi accounts and make me have to start tagging ppl when i find the connection.

This is just the initial event. If this contest gets enough interest expect other sports as well. NFL, Soccer, maybe other euro sports also.
