Are we really safe with all those crypto hacks we have been seeing from month to month with no one to tell us what the future of digital currency holds. From one hack to another and it is looking like this is just the beginning of it all.

To my greatest surprise, If I was told that Binace is going to be the next on the list for exchange hacks I will never concur to that because I thought Binace has one of the best security for both users and their team due to their past experiences in 2019 and there about. I am starting to think if we'll are safe in this era of artificial intelligence.

Binance had hired several US cyber crime investigators to help in her affairs after the 2019 hack on their platform to strengthened their security to this day. Matthew Price was a former US agent that joined Binace to strengthened their cyber security and other famous security personnel including Jimmy Su which is the Head of Security on the Binace exchange. I think this hack must have been facilitated with the help of artificial intelligence using reverse engineering.

We have recorded more than 4 crypto hacks this year and nobody is talking about if it's going to affect other exchanges  and wallets in the nearest future. Hackers are becoming smarter by the day with the help of artificial/super intelligence that has been helping these criminals to facilitate their wicked attacks on multiple platforms.
Can the use to artificial/super intelligent also helps to prevent this kind of attacks on exchanges and crypto wallets? Perhaps individual holders are not exempted.

This is full of wrong information.

Bybit hack was $1.46 billion that was stolen. Bitget hack was 387.5 million. $6.3 billion has been reported for now for Binance.

Bybit was hacked in 2025 and and not in 2026. There are also more than 4 breaches this year.

AI is making it easy for these hackers nowadays, unlike before. Though, hacks on exchanges have been happening in the past but not as high as that of this year and the year isn't over yet. No Exchange is above hacking which is the reason why we always advise people to store their coins in a noncustodial wallet where they have full control on their private keys. However, these Exchanges have come to stay regardless the hack because customers funds are SAFU. Bitget got hacked and still operating so, I believe Binance will cover the losses.

What is really happening these days, I just came across that of Trezor implants and now binance, just this last week to this time, we have experienced several scam/hack related activities leading to loss of user assets.

If you are still holding your asset on a centralized exchange, then it is either you are not aware of all this happening or you are just being negligence of this safety of your assets to this platforms, always remember that not your keys not your coins will remain as long as we are using a third parties centralized platform to hold our assets, because they have the private keys with them and will not release to you except your assets are in your custody.

You don't have to feel say, the bright side if these crypto hacks is that we see the relevance of being security ready at every time.
Many schools of thoughts has it that what you don't put in use your will lose it, if we don't put the side of our conscience that makes us security ready to use we would use it and the effect would be bad.

North Korea has been credited to two of the top crypto hacks, it has also been speculated that these heist are use for the procurement of ammunition fi North Korea. When and if this case is solve will help with any future attacks coming from that region, because they are the biggest and most expensive threat to the crypto world.

Undoubtedly all the information on Twitter that he published is incorrect but he should have noticed that the information he published in the second tweet already mentioned that $6.3 billion worth of crypto was hacked from Binance. However despite so many assets being hacked, assets worth $2.80 billion are still frozen on this exchange. We should also note that Binance hackers hacked a large amount of assets from Binance Hot Wallet via nine chains.

There is nothing better than having your coins sent to addresses you generated on self-hosted wallets, but some people will not just do that until they lose coins or not able to have access to their coins on the exchanges for sometime. I guess they will not be convinced if Binance is also able to pay all users and the exchange continue to provide crypto services to its customers. All the exchanges and places that were hacked do not have excuses if AI is used or not used by the hackers.

You're right, these hacks shouldn't discourage anyone about cryptocurrency/Bitcoin. When things like these happen some people only focus on the negative side forgetting that there's a positive side of it that's very beneficial in terms of carrying out transactions and preserve the value of money.
I'm still suprised how those behind these hacks haven't been caught or am i wrong about that? Cause I've not heard of any suspects or are the North Korean hackers that good?

and nobody is talking about if it's going to affect other exchanges  and wallets in the nearest future.

These hacks happens unannounced, so no body can really tell you or anyone whether it will happen to other exchanges in the feature, if a hacker and his team are the first to discover a vulnerability in a system, they could take advantage of that opportunity to attacks the company. Those hackers have various targets and they don't only discover vulnerability but they could also launched their own attack on a system and if the system doesn't have enough protection, the hacker can succeed. Everyone just have to be extremely careful and take their security methods more serious than before. I know that some of us like downloading different things online and click on different links, not minding whether it contains some malware, we should be more careful now and remember, "Not your key, not your coin"

This is one of disadvantages of AI, but these scammers are experienced scammers, I believe that AI can be of help, but we can't blame AI for some of these, we need to blame the exchanges just as we blame hard ware wallet that were hacked in some couple of days back, we blame the owners for given clue and failing to do their job right which is why some of the wallets got compromised, we have to blame the exchange for this also.

All I can say is that, we have come to an era to realize how important privacy is and how important it is to control our assets on our own. These exchanges cannot be trusted, we have to be responsible for our assets, we need to use non-custodial wallets to hold our assets. We keep using exchanges and hackers keep hacking them, if we are not trading, there is no reason for leaving your crypto assets in any centralized exchange because you might be in need to withdraw your money and the exchange will limit or even stop you for some times, and if it is an emergency, then it will affect you.

What can we truly call security again after all these hacks, and possibly more to come. The use of AI to enhance the rate of hacking and breaking of security protocols is becoming too easy, and we will be having an unsafe environment around the internet. This is a reason why the news of not keeping your assets on hold in any of these exchanges, cause as humans, a time will come where a flaw/little mistake can cause harm, and with the current use of AI, it has only enhanced these experienced hackers to make their works/automation much easier.

To what extent do we need to carry our security level, as more platforms that are supposed to be equipped with high level of security due to the activities done within their platform is breached in a short time, and millions/billions are lost in a twinkle of an eye.
This is becoming more scary than ever.

I was quite surprised when I heard the news yesterday, because I use the exchange almost every day. Only this year we have already witnessed several hackers in the crypto industry and I never expected binance to be among the platform making such headlines. Binance is a well established crypto exchange that  has been around for years, so I expect them to have a strong security measures in place to prevent such attacks, give its reputation, experience and position in the industry.

Did you understand something in this information you shared? If you look at the picture very well you would see that all the wallets that is been listed there are all exchange wallet (custodial wallets). That is why we frequently advice people not to save / HODL their bitcoin in an exchange wallet because its been managed by third party and things might go wrong at anytime, since I have been hearing about crypto hacks I have not heard nor see any non custodial wallet been attacked by hackers. So the moment we realized that exchange wallet is not the safe place to store our assets the better for us.

since I have been hearing about crypto hacks I have not heard nor see any non custodial wallet been attacked by hackers. So the moment we realized that exchange wallet is not the safe place to store our assets the better for us.
I can still remember Atomic wallet that was hacked by Lazarus group. Over $100 million was hacked.
Coldcard which is an hardware wallet was also hacked just few weeks ago. About $116 million was hacked.
Ledger Nano which is also a hardware wallet. The Ledger Nano sold by CryptoBilis which is an official reseller were hacked. Approximately $102 million was lost.
Someone reported that his Trezor wallet sold by CryptoBilis was also hacked recently.

I still prefer noncustodial wallet, but what you posted is not what it is in reality.

Exchange wallets might not be a safe place or a safe place at all to store our crypto currency holdings but how about using it to receive payments? Don't these hacks also stall exchanges from being able to facilitate payment options?

I am sincerely not comfortable at all with all the hacks ongoing because it seems almost all the exchange I use has had some history of hacks or are still experiencing hacks and something should be done about this since AI helps hackers why can't AI also help developers prevent these hacks?

Did you understand something in this information you shared? If you look at the picture very well you would see that all the wallets that is been listed there are all exchange wallet (custodial wallets). That is why we frequently advice people not to save / HODL their bitcoin in an exchange wallet because its been managed by third party and things might go wrong at anytime, since I have been hearing about crypto hacks I have not heard nor see any non custodial wallet been attacked by hackers. So the moment we realized that exchange wallet is not the safe place to store our assets the better for us.

This is not the first time such is happening and may not also be the last time users of custodial wallets will complain about such terrifying lost in their investment, I still cannot tell why most people don't hacking to advice even after seeing prove of the terrifying news of others.
Its completely obvious that  before getting involved in any investment option we should have detailed information of its working procedure and am sure that of a custodial wallet have been experienced and decussed in and outside the forum but why falling victim to such circumstance is what i cannot understand  till now. To avoid the lost i think it will be more better if we stop investing in a custodial wallet and follow the right investment option which the use of non custodial wallets

These hacks are not mere coincidences,  they are serious course of concern that makes me wonder how safe we are as bitcoin holders. If they can exploit Binance with all their expertise,  I wonder what will happen to nobs like us that don't even have the capital to fund serious security infrastructure.  We can only adopt self custody and hope we are not targeted since we don't have so much money that will get the attention of these big hackers.

If hackers are using AI to hack, nothing stops the good guys from using the AI too. And I believe that they are doing so already. Imagine this, I am inside a house. And I did all the basic measures to secure myself in my house. Then I relax. Now a criminal wants to enter my house from outside, he isn't relaxed. He is finding a way to break in. All I did was to put the security measures in place and from time to time check whether those security measures are still in place. For the thief, he is improving his ways to break in and trying everything that is to try and even reinventing new ways to hack. I think that is what is going on.  The good guys are relaxed. But with time, it will die off. The hacks will stop. Then the good guys will rise up to form new locks that the thieves haven't seen before.

What level of security do you think Bainance can give that you cannot give? You can also protect your club in your wallet if you can keep your seed phrase safe and no one even thinks about you because you are bit influential like exchanges, they got hacked because they knew they will got some money from them, but no matter how many Bitcoin you hold, if you didn’t publish it to the world, no one will knows you hold Bitcoin, and your seed phrase is your security; as long as you have already kept your seed phrase safe, your Bitcoin safe with you.

Centralized exchanges are good for their purposes of exchanges, but given them your Bitcoin to hold is very dangerous because now many have crypto but unable to withdraw.

This isn't the first time Binance has been hacked and who knows the ones happening they're not telling us but keeping it low key and sweeping it under the rug because they have the funds to cover up. This one is making major news because the money involved is big but I'm not surprised here since the more popular and centralized an exchange or platforms becomes, the easier it's to hack them. Lets not forget those incharge of the security is this exchanges are also humans like you and I and they can make mistakes too so they can be targeted and then hacked that when they connect to the exchange server, the hackers get access. ro their server and then do their thing. Hacks are part of the industry so it shouldn't be bothering you as it's always going to happen. Untill they start prioritizing Non custodial walkets  for storing their coins, hackers will always get acess one day to the centralized systems and do their thing.
