What we are seeing is looking like a joke but it might become very seriously if more exchange are getting hacked without any intervention coming from the government. I have been thinking what can be the tools these hackers are using to steal these funds that are kept in a cold wallet with lot of privacy checks before any fund can be moved.
This is gradually becoming a trend and if we see another consecutive hacks, this is when the question will be taken seriously.

Seems like some of us misunderstand how these hacks are being carried out. The hackers are not just using any tools to bypass privacy checks, they are exploiting any vulnerability which they detect in their victims, and in some cases they take their time to plant whatever will help them hack a service and how they move the money is what's left for them as there are tools which they use to launder it, government can do little in trying to prevent these hackers they can only go after them.

Binance happened to be one of the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world so i never expected their system will be hacked because there are many people holding funds over there, they should tighten their security measures so that such an act won't happen again.

I always wondered why big companies like this allow their workers to take their working laptops horne or allow them make use of it for  other activities as I saw that's how the hackers got iin by offering him a fake mouth watering job opportunity and he got infected with a malware that took over hiis laptop without him knowing. Why can't this guy's learn that not every offers you should go for. I don't have their skills or well informed as they're but know not to click random links online and when the offers are too good to be true, you stay away. Binance should be playing their staff well so why is he looking for other opportunities outside? Well  at least now they know not to trust this staffs to be cautious and if I was on the Binance team, all work laptops will be restricted to only Binance activities and not for personal uses.

Apparently if you do the right things by keeping your bitcoin or whatever cryptocurrency you’re holding in a non- custodial wallet, then your holdings could be safe, but if you’re keeping your bitcoin or whatever cryptocurrency you’re holding on exchange then you could be doomed, right now fraudsters are treating this hacks as a legitimate business now, perhaps we could say that AI have been a revelation to this hacker, AI is something that is making their hacks easy for them and that is a disadvantage to people right now, so anything can happen when you keep your money in an exchange, I feel people have had different experiences with what happened with Binance last week how everyone was panicking to withdraw their money from Binance.

Keeping your assets in a non custodial wallet instead of an exchange is better but that doesn't mean your funds are completely safe if you fail to protect and secure it very well. You sure know that you will have your seed phrase protected always same way the exchange will protect them but if you misplace your seed phrase or you expose it to a third party all you have may be stolen and you still lose everything you have. Hackers are not just targeting exchanges they are after every one holding crypto so for you to be safe you have to protect your wallet against different attacks and Ai generated viruses if you can do that then you have nothing to worry you'd funds will be safe.

I suspect the hackers have informants in binance who leak information about their staffs and things to do to get their attention. They must've been monitoring this particular staff for a long time before cooking up a trick that would work on him and he fell for it. This staff was just a greedy fellow, his greed didn't allow him perceive the consequences of accessing random link with company laptop, If binance can warn their customers against accessing random links then, they must have warned him.  So the staff can't deny he hasn't been warn before against accessing random links on the internet.  look at how his greed has made his company lose billions of dollars.

The way the crypto market is hacked, the users' money is not safe at all, one after another is being lost. However, it is difficult to say what will happen in the future, but we can ensure that the hacking that we have faced in the past will continue in the future. The recent hacking that we have faced will not make our money safe in the future. That is why we need to take steps in advance so that we can provide maximum security to our money. Keeping money in exchanges is very stupid and wrong, so we need to avoid these mistakes and if we want to invest, we must keep it in a strong wallet. The Binance hack was really done by many smart people, as technology is improving, hackers are also making themselves more skilled. In that case, it may be more difficult in the future because we may lose a lot more to hackers in the future, so we need to focus on security the most.

We have seen that these hackers are not joking anymore, because nobody believed that a big exchange like Binance would be a victim of this hack. But I don't think it would be advisable to, because of this incident, start having fear about our crypto journey. Rather, we should always try as much as possible to keep an amount that wouldn't affect us negatively, so that In case anything happens along the way, you would be able withstand the pressure. That is exactly what we should be doing, since we can't really predict the next move for the hackers.
