If I understand correctly, you graduated from the textile industry, but your heart is drawn to coding? So what's the point? Of course, save up for a financial cushion and quit the field you don't enjoy. I know plenty of excellent programmers who abandoned their careers in jobs they hated to pursue IT development.
You misunderstood the OP, he said he enjoys being a developer but it looks as if he is switching from the textiles he had graduated previously from. I don't think this should be an issue for OP. He can earn enough money from being a developer and still fund a textile business, he doesn't need to switch anyone for the other, he can do both and become very successful. Textile is in high demand which means he will be making a lot of money while also earning huge amount from the IT company that hired him as a full-stack developer.

If I were to be in your position, I will seriously consider taking the developer job simply because you enjoy the work and also because the offer is good. Your experience in textile and business dream does not have to disappear because you have chosen to work in tech for now.
Having a degree is a key to open doors not something that limits you to where and what you can go or do. You can still build something in textile later with more experience and financially stable. So this is not a decision between what you have studied and what you don’t know anything about.
Yes bro you are right and i have the same perspective. If some one is offering you developer job and from a very good place and you have more interest in that field and you genuinely enjoy it or do with the heart so i dont think that you should reject that opportunity because of the reason that you have completed degree in another field. Education main purpose is not to do a job in specific field instead it also gives you different opportunities and human knowledge. If their is a chance so you should not miss it and it doesn’t mean that you have to leave your previous dream forever you should work in future on your textile business when you have enough money and experience. For me most important is that how much you do your work with hard work and with your heart. So make wise decision and understand the value of opportunity.

Pursuing a degree costs time, money and energy during your studies. But these expenses are gone once you graduate, used or not. The only thing left to consider is which job brings more benefits from now on. A better-paid job that you enjoy and are already good at has advantages that are hard to ignore on a spreadsheet. Economists call that degree money a sunk cost. And as I'm sure many readers will agree, we humans (myself included) are terrible at ignoring it.

Make software for textile factories, because the textile industry in many countries is still stuck in the stone age. Orders are processed through clunky Excel files and coordination is carried out in WhatsApp groups. You're at a unique position where you get both sides of the coin. You know how textile factories actually work and can speak the lingo, GSM, dye lots etc. On top of that you can build software, even simple dashboards, that would make life a hell of a lot easier for textile guys.

Take the development job. You'll see how a real company runs. Keep your friends in the textile world close, and listen carefully to what pisses them off about their jobs. That's your business idea right there.

Nowadays, it is not enough to be proficient in a particular subject, multiple skills are required to progress in your career. And changing careers does not mean neglecting your previous education, rather it helps you progress in your career by acquiring new skills. Sometimes our career goals can change without us knowing it, so learning something new will be a big advantage when entering a new job later. Therefore, having a mindset of learning something new is very important. However, before changing careers, it is necessary to understand your qualifications and interests, what kind of needs people have in the new field and whether you can do it well. Having multiple skills in yourself is an advantage in all fields. Those who have multiple skills are ahead in the workplace.
Am hundred percent with you on this because day by day the world is changing, and depending on just one skill can limit your opportunities in some kind of situations so having additional skills might give you more options and makes it easier to adapt when things don’t go as planned not necessary a skill but at least another source of income. To me I just have this believe that having another source of income or learning another skill should not make us lose focus on becoming good at what we studied or what we do best, I just have this belief that what every world best your you is good to go but at a time back up plan is very necessary.
Yes it is wrong to have only one source of income, if you have only one source of income, you are very close to poverty, because when that source of income closes, you will be broke automatically.
When you are making money from a particular source, try as much as possible to expand to other source, don’t depend on one source of income get 2 to 3 source of income so that when one closes, you won’t be broke.

There was a time in my country when Facebook was paying content creators huge amount of money, some of them used the money to find or make another source of income for themselves, and some of them did not, right now those that didn’t are suffering and regretting because Facebook has reduced the amount they pay content creators in my country.

I believe that it is not a failure to change careers. Particularly when someone has practical experience working in another career already. A degree gives us knowledge but shouldn't be the end of our career. The real question is whether or not we can do so with our skills to add value and build a sustainable future. But sometimes. learning in areas outside our original profession can actually be a benefit to our future businesses. It's not whether we're leaving school behind. It's whether we're moving closer to our goals.
Some people begin to do well in life when they shift from their original profession to doing what they had passion for as their career. Getting a degree is good because it  gives you the understanding and exposure to learn about a particular field and to learn about people and the environment you find yourself but you see that practical aspect of what you what you so much like to do aside your profession nothing is more satisfying than knowing that you can do much better aside your profession in a different career. If your goal is to do something outside your profession it is better to leave the degree after getting it to chasing your real career because you will be so good at it and you will find it more fun doing it.

If I switch carriers now, would that make me an idiot? And am I being brain dead?

It  am in so much confusion.

Aren't you being a bit melodramatic?
Why are you confused? You are enthusiastic about tech so you delved into it. You seemingly love and enjoy what you do, hence spending lots of time doing it. You literally expressed how great you feel.
You do know delving fully into tech and making a career in it doesn't hinder you from starting your own business later on in textiles. Since you studied it, you should have a great deal of knowledge on it.

Starting a business requires a great deal of capital. How about doing a job you love while gearing up on funds and experience on how best to run a business for when you finally open yours.

To switch career is as easy as possible, anyone can switch their career if they see that the one they studied isn't available or not productive as it was intended. What matters in this life is happiness, comfort and sustainability. I Also believe in the slogan that says make good use of any available opportunity because opportunity comes but once. Many of my friends that we graduated in school with are not doing what they studied, so it's not a big deal and not a new thing either.

I graduated in textiles; at the same time, I was enthusiastic about tech. So I learned a lot about development. I have lots of experience doing this. I completed quite a few freelance projects as a full-stack developer.

Since I just recently graduated, my job life will begin now. But recently I got an offer from an IT company as a full-stack developer; the salary range is quite good compared to my graduation sector.

I always feel great , and enjoy development. That is why I spent lot's of time doing this. But I graduated in a completely different sector , thinking about the job market. Since it has a great demand in my country. Also, my dream was always to have my own business; that is why I chose this sector for my graduation.

If I switch carriers now, would that make me an idiot? And am I being brain dead?

It  am in so much confusion.
Why will switching a career make you an idiot? That will make you progressive at least, to my mind. As I understood, you took textiles because the demand on this job is high in your country but it's tech that attracts you the most. I would suggest you to stick with tech and develop as a full-stack developer. If this is really what you enjoy, then you'll happily spend more than working hours on this job and you'll be better than others in this job over time, earning more money and working with pleasure. AI won't replace you at the moment but if that's what you fear, then think about textiles as a side project.

If you live in a country where passion is not able to help you sustain a family as an adult, you definitely should care less about what you do to survive, what you do, and how many jobs you work doesn't mean a thing as long as it pays, and you are satisfied with the benefits.

Before their child enters university, a typical Nigerian parent with an average income will send them to learn a skill. This skill can be unrelated to what the child studies in the university, and the child can also pick up new interests when he gets into the university, being multi-functional doesn't make you an idiot, at last, you settle for what you think is best.

I think the most important thing you need to think of before any career change irrespective of whether that prospect is your dream job or not is whether that job can provide the necessity and stability you need or the present job is providing and the most important thing is that the prospective job should even pay more because what this new job can't offer is the time you have spent in this current job, that's may take because I feel every person can change careers if they present better opportunities

Everything happen for the best, switching your carrier cannot make you an idiot. Sometimes life has a different plan for us, we just have to accept our fate and choose where we find comfort and stability. Every soul is looking for where it can find peace of mind. You're not the first person to make such decision and neither would you be the last. And that doesn't define you or make you less of a person. Majority of the successful people today, didn't achieve that success through their chosen careers. You just have to believe in yourself, believe in your abilities and capabilities and focus on your goals and achievements.

The reality is that all the plans we make for the future do not always go as planned, fate changes everything, which a person can do nothing but accept because there is no one to control. Time and circumstances sometimes force people to make decisions outside of their plans. However, it is absolutely true that those who do not give up, use their knowledge and experience to overcome difficult times, persevere with patience and confidence and eventually reach their goals. Successful businessmen have also faced situations that they never expected, but they did not give up and persevered, which led to their success. Most people think that those who are successful have not gone through bad times but the truth is that they have gone through many difficult times and persevered with confidence and patience, which has brought them success.
