I wasn't part of the complete 18 years of Bitcoin existence but I did not join yesterday, the multiple year I have been in Bitcoin has been an amazing decision for me financially and otherwise.
I have ventured into other asset but non has been consistent as Bitcoin is to me, I remember getting a land in a place that was projected to blossom in few years, but after few years the growth did not match the hype, not saying landed property aren't good or other asset aren't good but to my experience Bitcoin has grown above my imaginations since when I joined in

The decision to take Bitcoin serious wasn't only profit gains for me but also I have enjoyed premium advantages over the traditional financial system especially when my country financial system is so inconsistent and unpredictable.

How have these 18 years of Bitcoin's existence been for you?

It's been an amazing journey. Honestly, I never thought Bitcoin was going to get this far. When I first discovered it in 2014, I thought it was just going to be a passing fad. Boy, was I wrong. Despite my skepticism, I kept going on by learning mote about the cryptocurrency. It was until later in time, when I realized Bitcoim's true potential.

18 years forward, and now Bitcoin is a serious payment network used by millions worldwide. It's now bigger and stronger than ever with achievements such as The Lightning Network, SegWit, Taproot, Ordinals, etc. Valued today for almost six figures. Insane, isn't it? If Bitcoin got this far, I'm sure it will last 1-2 more decades. Now institutional investors are on-board, pouring large amounts of money into BTC. Exciting times ahead. Buy, "hodl", and forget about the rest.

How have these 18 years of Bitcoin's existence been for you?

I'm still new in the market, but I'm glad I was able to get inside before it explode in the next century or so. And looking at some old posts here, for sure those who are around in the 2016 up to now might have a lot of Bitcoin's in their wallet and that could mean that they have started to build their generational wealth.

So congrats to those who have been here longer than that. And we are obviously ahead from individuals who hasn't join the revolution as adoption is slow. Although there has been a lot of challenges, like the recent Binance hack, everyone is still standing and we can go and looking forward to the next block halving event and the eventual bull run.

I haven't been around for the entire 18 years of Bitcoin's existence. I consider myself unlucky because I didn't learn about Bitcoin in the early days. But as a personal achievement, Bitcoin was the best investment I've ever made and the best investment I've ever seen.
However, those who received Satoshi's email were lucky, but those who didn't believe in Bitcoin were unlucky.
I just noticed that the email shared here was sent on a Friday, I was born on a Friday.

It's sad that some of us were not part of the journey from the beginning. But it's for the best because I can't imagine being among the early guys that mined or get it somehow but lost it somehow. That should be more painful than getting on board lately.

The good thing is we are part of it now. Even thou we missed the opportunity but it is better to be part of this financial revolution now than never. Wherever Satoshi is right now whether he's still alive or not, he will definitely be proud of this great initiative that change the entire financial system.

It seems a long time ago that I first heard of Bitcoin and still took a little time to understand the concept. Keeping that aside, many members of the forum that were posting in 2011 and 2012 are no longer posting today and have not even logged in for years, probably because they made millions from the Bitcoin in their possession at the time.

I doubt that people really knew in 2008 that it would change the financial industry forever and would launch thousands of other crypto. Even when the forum in the present form was established, did anybody really believe Bitcoin would one day have an all time high of over $126,000?

How have these 18 years of Bitcoin's existence been for you?

I have only known bitcoin for about a decade now, and I would say that it's growth and adoption was one amazing thing about it's existence, considering how it started compared to where it is currently. As the first digital asset to be created, there was a lot of doubts amd controversies surrounding it's success and long term utility but bitcoin went against all odds to become the most valued and trusted digital assets in the midst of many others after it.

It's actually been a remarkable journey because I think 18 years ago a mysterious man completely changed the currency system because he sent a nine page white paper to the cryptography mailing list that contained an idea that none of us had heard of before. But these 18 years of existence of Bitcoin have brought unprecedented opportunities and success for investors it seems to me, this currency has brought unprecedented freedom to people's trading system.

In fact it has reduced the dependence on traditional banking business and now everyone is able to transact without third party control. Also important is the fact that BTC acts as a hedge against inflation as a result it appears that a large number of people are now holding this currency.

It's not an easy journey for those who are part of complete 18 and those haven't reach that years, because not everyone have the mind to invest in Bitcoin, when they are doubting it and thinking it will not reach any level, it has passed more than what they think about it, bitcoin have change a lot of people life and that is what we should never forget about it, because there are a lot of investment that people end up regret investi in it.

Remember Bitcoin has been declared dead 477 times since 2010.. but still here we are, and another hack happened that could have collapsed the Bitcoin market but it's still standing, so Bitcoin has been tested through time , it will stay strong going forward, that's why I believe in HODL

22, 23 were a drop compared to 21 but in 24 it gained more than it lost, this year and specially today might look grim but we should forget where bitcoin was and how far it has reached. Not just in price, but also in its technology, development, and the strength of a community that continues to push it forward. Bitcoin is about much more than its price today, and its journey is far from over.

I learned about bitcoin quite early, but due to my lack of education in this topic, I wasn't even interested in it, which I regret very much. Until 2018, when I registered on the forum, I regularly came across a mention of bitcoin here and there. I saw that people were using it, talking about it, but I was categorically sure that I did not need such information. Now I wonder why I was so stubborn in my disbelief. Sometimes we are blind to what lies beneath our feet. But time still brought me to this forum and still put me where I probably should have been before. Sometimes I had to come to imagine myself about life, saying if there were no Bitcoin what could have been of me today?
Of course, Bitcoin is something that has been established to carefully build people who are willing to built up through the means of digitalization. Bitcoin has really helped me and of all, has made me to be financially independent. I didn't start from the onset or throughout the inception of Bitcoin but I have benefited what I have never experienced with any company out there. I did not join or start Bitcoin investment early and it is not because I was not aware of Bitcoin, it was because I was scared of investing in something that will not give me profit, I was scared of losing my money that was why I did not invest in Bitcoin, I regret not starting early and till date whenever I remember it I feel bad.
But I am happy I have started investing in Bitcoin for some years now and I believe if I am consistent this way till the next 10 years I will achieve a lot from Bitcoin.

Since the creation of Bitcoin it has been progressing and spreading all over the world, more people are gaining interest to invest in Bitcoin, Nations and organizations are now interested in Bitcoin investment and I believe as time goes on it will continue to expand.

Bitcoin is as old as my eldest daughter. I'm happy that although I didn't know about bitcoin from the very start, bitcoin has made a big difference in my life because I was able to invest in it early and I have gained a lot of knowledge about the crypto space.

It's been great, taught me how to invest and what markets are really like. Being introduced to a highly volatile asset made me adjust quickly if I am going to step into another market that's not the same as Bitcoin. Congratulations Bitcoin, and satoshi did really a good job in changing the world for the better. I may not be as early as the others but, the words before when said "it's never too late" it's real, I just don't know now.
