Would you dare split your solo mined BTC 3.1 into half and take the 50% and let the community share the rest 50%? A friend was telling me about a solo mining pool yesterday and I think this is clever or nah?

What do you think?

As far as you are mining Bitcoin solo on the pool too, if someone else solved a block, you and the rest will share 50% of the Bitcoin block and only 50% will be sent to the solver itself.

How does this sounds to you? The name of this pool is harlolabs.com
I am not trying to promote them, Its my first time seeing a 50/50 solo mining pool.

Which solo mining pool is your friend referring to? You can post the link on this thread so we can know if it is true or not true.

If the rest of the miners are taking 50% of the mined bitcoin, I do not see that as a solo mining anymore if the reward is not 100% going to the miners except the little charges by the pool operators.

I’ve seen many different configurations for solo pools, beyond the 100% payout to a single miner, there are also setups where 50% to 90% goes to the miner, with the remainder distributed among other participants and the pool itself.
The main challenge is actually finding a block on the pool yet you’re already rushing to divide profits that don’t even exist, and for which the probability is extremely low.
