We have oil, gold, cobalt, Cocoa, uranium, Congo alone has minerals to power the whole world, Nigeria has oil, gas, Ghana has gold, south Africa has diamonds. But who is rich? Not Africans, foreign companies comes here to take our raw materials for cheap, go and turn it to phone, car and sell it back to us at ten times the price. We are like farmers who sells his Cocoa for 5k and buys chocolate for 50k.

We import what we should be exporting, Africa spends over $50 billion every year importing foods-rice, chicken and fish. These are foods that we can grow here, our soil is the most fertile in the world, but we left farming and are looking for white collar jobs. How can a continent with 60% of the world uncultivated land be hungry? This is foolishness.

Our leaders trade with our future, African leaders collect loans from IMF, World bank and China. They chop the money, build one road, and leave debts for our children, today almost every African countries uses more than 50% of it's income to pay debt. We are working to pay people who colonized us.

You need to know what neo-colonialism and imperialism means and that will help you further understand how things have been working and how it is still possible for you (Africans) not to own anything yet, even though we have waken up, there are still a lot of people far behind and will need to learn about themselves.

Firstly, your resources was divided in your absence, western countries had plans and choose who will take each of your countries minerals and basic back then it was not countries yet just coast and local people of it area having languages and cultural values, so the countries you see or claim to come from are just areas which where subjugated by a few people to call their own and made boundaries that any resources from outside their own boundaries belongs to the next person to come and colonize (invade). So it started long ago but it’s beginning to fade away because of awareness but still they are trying to impose it back through modern technologies and information fabrication but firstly a lot of us are still psychologically trapped.

God created us differently although Africa was blessed with so many natural resources but we lack the knowledge to make good use of what we have, Africans are greedy and corrupt that's we own nothing and still look very poor, foreign countries knows that Africa is blessed, most expecially Nigeria, currently Nigeria government has been taking loans and are doing nothing with it even when they haven't repaid the ones they borrow they will still reborrrow Nigeria when ever they need loan don't you think this people already know what we have, that we don't know the value ?

We do not have good leaders but do not blame all what is happening that you do not like in the country just on the leaders, also blame it on us all. It is bad that the government are not encouraging such businesses or creating a kind of environment that can encourage people to do such businesses but it could have happened naturally just like how it happened in other countries that are not in Africa, but rich people  in Nigeria are busy going for just oil and not follow technology advancement.

Corruption and poor leadership are part of the problem but let’s not pretend that foreign countries are only here to help us develop. Many benefit from getting access to our resources at a low cost while the processing and bigger profits remain outside Africa.
Even when businesses want to grow, you have to deal with poor infrastructure, production cost and competition from established companies. So it is not just about Africans refusing to develop, the conditions that are involved also matters a lot. Of course we need better leadership but we should also ask why a continent that supply so much to the world still struggle to control the industries around its own resources. We can’t continue to blame ourselves and ignore those that are benefiting from the way that things are structured.

Nigeria has the highest agricultural output with the best economic values in Africa compared with other global resources in Nigeria moreover ranking the top 1st in oil/crude/ gas production. Nigeria produce over 1.4 to 1.5billions barrels per day, considered best (ICT) Information and communication technology, yet nothing has everly changed people still lack jobs, unemployment,  bad leaders government officials, bribing, politics and corruption make things improper for the country affecting a massive amount of population in Nigeria.

Africa has everything but owns nothing. this sentence sums up the brutal reality of current Nigeria or African countries in one sentence.

Africa has oil gas gold diamonds and immense agricultural resources. There is no shortage of technology or talent of the young generation. But the problem is the ownership of wealth is not in the hands of the common people  When policymakers and government officials prioritize corruption, bribery and abuse of power instead of honesty and accountability the fate of crores of people becomes hostage in this way. Politics or statecraft is not a flawed matter it is an essential means of running a society. The problem is the leadership mentality of our leaders. If proper governance and honest transparent and accountable patriotic leadership can be ensured it will not take long for promising countries like Nigeria to stand up economically.

Our leaders have failed us, they do things that benefits them in the present and puts the future in jeopardy. Most of African countries are still in the stronghold of the colonial masters, they are not truly independent, including Nigeria, so the leaders always dance to the tune of western powers as we can see Tinubu giving US permission to do whatever they want in Nigeria. It shouldn't be so and as long as we don't elect leaders who would rule the countries and not follow western playbook, nothing is bound to change.

Africa is rich, but selfishness of leaders and international influence keeps it at a miserable state.

Touché… Africa and Nigeria specifically are one of the richest in the world by resources. It is appalling that despite having access to every resources from fertile oils for agriculture, minerals, gems, and honestly some of the best intelligent minds we are still considered third world and rely on countries who has limited resources to provide us with finished products of our own resources.

The major fault is with our leaders who like the  story of Jacob and Esau has decided to sell our birth rights in other to fill their bellies. Also the citizens are not blameless in our negligence of asserting our rights, selflessness and not having enough patriotic love for our countries.

Another fault lies with colonialism, even though Nigeria celebrates her independence every October 1st, are we truly independent?. I believe we are still under the rule of our colonial masters, they just found a DEMOCRATIC way to keep puppeting our leaders and having the masses serve them.

If you ask me, I go say the thing with not developing our technical sector which could have been the driver of industrialization in Nigeria is because of the leaders lack of clear purpose or direction, leadership is meant to open up ideas that will propelled development and bit the responsibility of the citizens. Make you check other African countries that are developing their industrial sector and boosting their production, you see that the change begins from getting one right leadership with clear direction and purpose, even though the citizens may not really align with their drive but as leaders they still Push them out because they know what they want for the country.

And whose fault is it? Our leaders of course, having everything is not the problem but using those things to better the life of the citizens becomes the major role, and who are the people that are supposed to play the role our leaders right, African leaders are the worst anywhere in word, although not all African countries, mainly the west African country leaders, those guys are like devil, they don't have conscience, how'll a country like Nigeria mention trillions coming from the sell of crude oil, and you can't see what those money have been used for, no accountability, no transparency, the criminals that called themselves leaders continues to feed fat on public funds, how will a country that own no functioning government refinery own something, the west African countries leaders especially Nigeria, needs ro to have a rethink and change of mind.
