To be sincere there are people who are basically comfortable with their basic income because they aren't attracted to much responsibility..

Not responsibility, but losses - most often involving resources that cannot be replenished, such as time or health.

I would want to know, what are the things you should be doing to increase your income.

When such a question arises, the first thought that comes to mind is: at what cost will this increase in income be achieved? What will I have to trade off to boost this income?

Double it? Why not triple it, then? Is inflation running at 200%? Many people would be happy to increase their income (without a significant investment of time) at least enough to offset inflation, or better yet, to partially compensate for it. I don’t think doubling one’s income is all that easy, not without a substantial loss of resources (like time or health).

But that is the entire point of this, you could literally start with buying a place with 10 people getting together, that way, you could own 10% of a home, so you make 10% of the rent, use that against saving and then get 25% of a house next time using that. Not easy; I am aware of that. But this is how things work, and if you are poor, you could start small.

You know, its easier to increase your income if you are working remotely like you can offer your skills and services to different online establishments without leaving your main source of income. But if you are working 8 hours on your traditional day job, having side hustle might be hard already since the main job alone already took most of your time and strength everyday.

However, you can start doing business at home during your free time or every weekend, but do not expect much profits in it since the time you spend on your business is only limited, which means limited profits too.

You can learn a good skill and use that to increase your income or get a second job. If you are good in business, you can set up one as another means of income. I think, investment is a good choice only if you don't want to wait for a long time maybe, that's what you're avoiding. You're right, a good skill is a good idea as we now have different skills that can earn you good money for someone who is good in business and you want to have a physical store or shop that's also a good idea and like you said not everyone is good in business but then you can have an online or offline skill I know that there are some remote jobs that can earn you good money.

The way things are so expensive and is not like it will probably come down soon so one has to step up and one means of Income can't solve all that and like you said once your only means of survival stops, lifes stops for some people while for others they start suffering so it's better to start early and diversify

In this economy, no one will be comfortable with their basic income, unless they really have a high basic income to afford living a comfortable life. Actually, even those who earn more or those in the upper middle class can still feel the inflation.

So for me, aside from investments in crypto, I look for second job. You can maximize the advantage of technology where you can find multiple jobs online. Developing and improving your skills can be your main tool for that. Personally, this is more practical to me than starting a small business wherein there's no assurance it'll succeed.

Dividend Stocks.

I mean that's not a secret at all. If you want to have what they consider as "passive income", go invest into stocks that gives you dividends. I don't want to recommend staking coins anymore because they're way, way too risky to put your money with, but you can try. Also, focusing on long-term assets would be a better option on this one. It will take you a longer time to reap your rewards, but at least that's another example of you increasing your income anyway.

Learn a skill.

I don't want to emphasize it multiple times, but it's very helpful not only for you, but to anybody. We know that inflation is very high, and in some countries, our salary can't cope up with the amount of inflation rate so in the end, we are losing buying power year after year. Having more than 1 skill that you can offer to other clients will make you better because if you're confident enough, you could just simply resign to your current job, and find another one that gives you a better salary. That will make you beat inflation.

The steps you're talking about do sound good, but not everyone can have that kind of desire when they don't have a home, especially if they have to form a group to buy a house to rent it out. Obviously, some people will think twice about doing that, because for people who don't have their own place, they tend to think about owning their own home first before considering buying and then renting it out. I once built a house that wasn't very big, but after selling it to get more capital to build another one, my house is now slightly larger than before. This means that when it comes to building a house, most people don't immediately consider sharing with more people, for whatever reason.

Well, some people can appreciate what they have and don't need so much to live. The contented. But there are those who are trying to prepare for their future, and I believe it's best if we have that kind of perspective.

I am not comfortable with just the basic income, especially here in a third-world country. It's not enough. Bills keep on adjusting upwards, and necessities keep on getting expensive. The basic income is very low and cannot provide for a family, so a person will need to be creative and look for other ways to make money.
For a single person, it may be enough. But for one who is trying to create a family, you will find yourself in debts after a few months.

As for fulfilling the basic needs, I'm comfortable with my basic income, we as a couple live on 40% of our income saving the rest 60% but we are not living to the fullest with our expectation of having a home of our own, we minimize our spending wherever possible. We live on outskirts where the rent are cheap, cook food ourselves choosing the cheapest option to feed ourselves. The savings are not secure due to inflation, keeping money on bank loses its value. There are no good enough place to invest, I do invest some in crypto but crypto is volatile and risky asset. Stocks, Gold and other commodities too are not safe.
The only good investment I see is a business which you handle on your own but for that, I need to leave my job and get out of my comfort zone.

In general, humans have the nature of lust and reason, I am sure that no one will be satisfied with their basic income, it's just that lust can be controlled by reason to think and be grateful for what is produced from the basics.

Talking about economics, the greater a person's economic income, the greater their needs. When we understand and understand being grateful for our income, that's when we feel comfortable enjoying the basic results.

Your environment should be the one to suggest the kind of investment or business you should consider. When you look through your environment carefully, you will definitely find something you can do that is likely to give you additional income.If you live in a developing country and there are opportunities to work after your regular working hours, it can be a good additional source of income. It doesn't necessarily mean you have to start a business or make an investment, because it is possible that you may not have the money to do so.There may be many options available in your environment. This is why your environment really matters when you are looking for additional sources of income. You may be in an environment where what works for some people may not work for you.

For me, I don't have many options I can do right now.. Besides the economic situation in the country that's not great, which makes it harder to start a business, capital is also a challenge.. Honestly, this forum has helped me quite a bit, at least it eases my burden a little.. For anyone to be comfortable with the amount of money that they earn it means that they are paying their bills comfortably without having any difficulties or going through any hardship. Personally, I'm not comfortable with earning a basic income at this point because the economy has gotten more difficult. People are focusing on increasing their source of income instead of relying on just one source of income. Having multiple sources of income goes a long way in reducing the financial burden.

I think having a shop is one good option and another thing I would suggest is having online business. You can sell products or offer services online without necessarily having a physical store.

Having one source of income is definitely a plus, as humans there is always expenses around the corner, so having another means to help out is a big  advantage. The most important thing is to find something you can do perfectly well and that people actually need. I don’t think any business is easy just because it is online. You still need to have a skill that you know and understand very well, you also need patience  and people who are will to pay for what you offer.
