20.000 USD - Withheld by CHANGEHERO - possible involvement of SwapSpace!

I got some QNT on Binance, but cannot withdraw due to the current situation.

So I decided to sell QNT for USDT on Binance and then use www.swapspace.co to find the best rate to get my QNT back directly to my wallet without being reliant on yet another CEX.
The best rate was being shown from changehero, the likelyhood for KYC was "unlikely" with a green light.

So I sold QNT for 5.000 USDT on Binance. Sent to Changehero via Swapspace. QNT arrived immediately.
So I sold another QNT for 10.000 USDT on Binance. Sent to Changehero via Swapspace. QNT arrived immediately.
So I sold another QNT for 10.000 USDT on Binance. Sent to Changehero via Swapspace. QNT arrived immediately.

And then I sold another QNT for 20.000 USDT on Binance. Sent to Changehero via Swapspace. Did not arrive.

I contacted the support chat from swapspace.co and first they said:

"Your exchange is in progress — just taking a bit longer than usual.
It should be done within 30 minutes. If not, let us know and we’ll check!"


Then they told me:

"Thanks for waiting!
Your exchange was stopped by our partner’s security system — it’s going through a KYC check.
Please contact them directly at support@changehero.io to proceed.
Let us know if you need help with anything else!"


I asked them for the Exchange ID on Changehero. They provided me an ID, it doesn't work on Changehero. I created a new swap, changed the ID to the ID that I got from Swapspace. I get 404 Error Page not found on Changehero

Being told that the Support Chat from Swapspace answered:

"There’s no link, please contact the team directly via support@changehero.io"



Weird. If they initiated an Exchange with Changehero, how can there be no link? Therefore I wonder if my exchange was even ever initiated or its a collaboration scam from SwapSpace and Changehero!


Anyway, I will contact Changehero Support now.
I just wonder how they can withheld my money if they can see on the blockchain that my money comes DIRECTLY from BINANCE HOT WALLET?


FURTHERMORE I CHECKED THE HOT WALLET OF CHANGEHERO. MY QNT ARE IN THERE ALREADY. SO IT WAS NOT(!!!) WITHHELD BY ANY OF THEIR PARTNERS, BUT JUST THEY DECIDED TO KEEP MY MONEY AS OF NOW!!!

As I read horror stories on this forum about changehero.io already, I posted this warning in advance. I will keep you updated about my 20.000 USD. I will follow all KYC instructions, even I think its an obvious move to try to scam me because they can see my money comes directly from my already KYCd Binance Account.

I contacted them via E-Mail now.

When I confronted Swapspace.co Support Chat on why the Exchange ID they provided me for ChangeHero is not possible to add after the following link:

They just avoided answering the question.
So I think:
Swapspace and Changehero are collaborating. The exchange was never even being created.


In case Swapspace wanna delete my exchange from their platform now, I made a full video-screen already.

Still they are promoting ChangeHero as first choice, best rate (which was changed 1 second after I created the swap by the way even the price of QNT did not move in that one second).

I suspect that ChangeHero is experiencing a liquidity shortage. Since you are swapping via an aggregator, you likely don’t have access to real-time information regarding their liquidity.

By the way, does SwapSpace have a representative here ?action=profile;u=3752508 I’ll try sending them a PM and point them toward this thread.
Also, I suggest you keep making as much noise as you can elsewhere. Two months ago, someone managed to get their funds back by doing exactly that. ?topic=5592911.msg67103718#msg67103718

The funds just keep moving to a new address. If they used changehero they should provide you an ID. If they can't provide an ID then the swap never went through changehero. SwapSpace might be holding the funds.

The address linked above is definitely their hot wallet. You can ask AI

But yeah, exactly that helped. I made a lot of noise, here, Reddit, KYCnot.me.
I threatened them with reporting them to CostaRican authorities. I prepared the E-Mail already to report them.


Then I got an E-Mail from them, link to AMLBot KYC. Did that one.
Then I got another E-Mail. Source of Funds. Lol. Exactly the procedure you can read about on so many websites, they will just continue asking you things until you give up.
In my case SoF is sooo dumb, as it was coming directly from my Binance account and they could see that.


But then suddenly, after I told SwapSpace.co Chat that they can tell Changehero that I am preparing criminal action against both of them, my money just magically got released. 5 minutes after I got this kinda automated looking SoF-mail, without answering to it.



I am 100% certain if I wouldn't have made such big noise everywhere and show them that my funds are 100% clean directly from my own Binance and I am ready to fight for it heavily, they would just try to steal my funds.
Then they probably realized it is not worth it with me and they will wait for an easier prey.

I do not wanna imagine how often people that are maybe a bit simple-minded or are just so rich they don't care about these amounts of money just let it go.


So yeah I got my money, but I keep my warning:
DO NOT use Changehero.io - You can send them clean funds from your own Binance and they will freeze your money anyway. They will lure you with success of smaller amounts and as soon as you try a bigger amount, have fun.
DO NOT use SwapSpace - They highly recommend Exchanges that have a reputation for stealing money from people under the disguise of KYC/AML laws.
They know that, still they recommend it as "unlikely KYC".

I think I saw two threads with same situation they keep the funds and then after some drama they release the funds under pressure! Please avoid changehero in future and use a reputable one.

Contact this account^[1] and you may get a better answer. I remember that I faced a similar problem and the support team’s response was different from one member to another. The problem is that the money is with ChangeHero and you need to get the transaction address and then the support team can help you.
ChangeHero has a long history of such situations and should be avoided under any circumstances.

If they did an AML check, then they must have had information that your funds came from Binance. It's quite obvious that they tried to keep the funds and, with a long procedure, force the user to give them up.
The request to check the SoF always comes from the authorities, this was obviously not the case here.
