I'm concerned about this matter, so I maximized the correlation between my routine with logistics as I could. What I do is to live near the place where I study and near the place where I work, so I don't spend much time or money going from one place to other everyday. I look for accessibility and practicality, and I think it makes total difference after all. If I was spending hours to get things done along the week, I would definitely be much less productive than I'm right now.

People think the status of living in a big urban center is important, but it's just likely they are going to waste more time to get things done. And it doesn't pay off after all.

This is something so many of us underestimate, most especially in underdevelopment countries where poor infrastructure and inefficient systems make small small activities and take longer time than they should, lemme use my country for example someone can spend two or three hours in traffic trying to get to another destination, meanwhile you can use that same time is time to do something meaningful that will profit you but because it’s of the lack of underdevelopment even to meet up with schedules early is a problem which is very painful.

I keep my calm when my time is justifiedly used a day but look terrible with regrets everyday I waste them. It gets worse when a job is taking a way the time from you and are giving you small money. That is how people would get to their old age and did not achieve anything good. Time is so valuable that we should not joke with it.

Note this, the job that is paying you must measure that payment with the value of your time. That is not the case? It's not advisable to stay there. The same goes to business owners, time must be justified, every second of it .

I ensure that I maximize my time every day to do all I should. My spare time is also precious because I spend it doing things I love. Based on my experience living in Jakarta with very bad traffic jam, I agree that accessibility and the distance between our  home and workplace significantly influence productivity. But matter of fact not everyone has the luxury of choosing a job based on time efficiency and proximity. Especially for middle income workers as long as salary can covering up transportation cost and even if it leaves them with very little money for daily necessities, they will still take the job while looking for a better job opening.

What a pity they forget to calculate for the costs of sustaining the energy they expend fatigue, food, health, rest periods, and time lost during travel, because travel time is not merely time wasted, it is also an expenditure of energy that must be paid in order to keep working. In the job vacancy announcement, one of requirement the candidate must reside in the area around my company, based on these considerations.

In my opinion, income is not only from the amount of salary, but also from the costs, time and energy that must be sacrificed to get it. Work that seems generate income does not necessarily provide good economic value if the cost of maintaining our ability to perform that work is too high.

I think that there were discussions on the forum about the same subject in the past. I'm pretty skeptical and cynical about this topic. At the end of the day, we are all gonna die, no matter how productive we were in the past or how much time we have wasted. Our time on this Earth is limited and I don't believe that "being productive" and earning more dollars per hour could necessarily lead to a meaningful life. Spending lots of time commuting to work is just stupid. I would rather stay unemployed, than drive 2 hours per day to my job, work 8 hours and waste another 2 hours just to drive back to my home.

The annoying part is that you will indirectly pay for the time lost without realizing it. Because in as much as no one will send you an invoice or bill for the wasted time. You will never see the cost of it in physical terms but if you take a good analysis of it, then you will see the impact in your life. Actually the truth is that we must lose or spend a lot of time to get it right in a little time. Bro, in this era of AI and all these technological advancements, I am sure we have saved a lot of time that we can scroll for hours straight, and we would still be working, haha. With AI agents and all this new technology, we can code easily.

We can build platforms in a matter of hours while we sit in front of screens scrolling, and the agents will be doing our tasks. Automated AI agents like Hermes, etc., can help us further. I have seen many people already using them to make their days more productive.
