I've been working on a publishing experiment using Counterparty (XCP).

The underlying project is a full-length historical science-fiction novel called The Creature from Jekyll Island: Pepe Edition.

The parent asset, PEPECREATURE, is a Fake Rare with a supply of 170. Its public metadata includes access to the novel which anybody can read for free, along with other media.

I've also built a separate audiobook experience with wallet-based access for holders through a subasset. The idea is that the collectible isn't merely an image representing a book. It's a way to package and distribute different forms of a creative work.

The novel itself is available to read without buying the token.

What's interesting to me now isn't whether people will speculate on it. It's how far this kind of publishing model can be taken before the reader experience becomes too dependent on third-party infrastructure.

I'd be interested in feedback from people who have worked on Bitcoin-native publishing, metadata, wallet authentication, and long-term access to digital media.

https://tokenscan.io/asset/PEPECREATURE here is the link for anyone interested.
if you click the green 'Load Content" button and then push "Read Book" you can see it.

but hope this is something more people will want to do.
