It would be great if it happens that way but there's still no assurance that those individuals who are holding will not panic.
6,000 Bitcoins are next to nothing, taking into account that the daily trading volume of Bitcoin is six-fold (200 to 900k, mostly).

The Coindesk article states that they had purchased the coins for about 31,000 USD each (via some sort of special agreement, because it was in 2025 when the price was obviously higher) so if this is true they have already benefitted. It depends on the company's current numbers if the move is reasonable or not.

the main concern is that investors might slowly lose trust in the market because of the recent hack and it's not a good image for crypto
Hacks have happened since very early on. While the Binance hack was the biggest in terms of USD lost, when we take Bitcoins as the measure, the MtGox hack with about 800,000 BTC was much more significant. It's interesting that after the MtGox hack became publicly known in 2014, most of the bearish selling activity had already happened, and some months later Bitcoin's price recovered.

So I think while this is a short-term bearish signal, the fact that the price went down only a few % is actually quite positive. I don't think there's a "slow" confidence loss. Usually companies learn from security breaches and thus the security is hardened, defensive AI tools actually are quite a blessing for this. There will continue to be hacks of course, also from the DPRK, but it would surprise me if the hacking activity would increase in the next years (related to Bitcoin's market cap).

Based on that purchase price , they have already doubled their investment, so although we call it panic selling since they sold during a time when people were selling, still they ended up with a profit. We are not sure if they will buy again in the future, but with their concerns about the uncertainty of the market due to what happened, they are probably expecting that the market will experience more massive dumps going forward. It's their call anyway, everyone has their own decision to make, but as for us here, we're just chilling.

no one could beat that anymore in terms of BTC, as Binance's daily trading volume is just around 15k BTC if I'm not mistaken.
So I think while this is a short-term bearish signal, the fact that the price went down only a few % is actually quite positive. I don't think there's a "slow" confidence loss. It it cause real panic, it could have  gone down below $57,800 the lowest this year.

To be fair these hacks don't happen to crypto or bitcoin. They are happening to centralized services like exchanges or hardware wallets produced by some centralized company and tinkered with by a middleman who was distributing them.
Another important thing to remember is that these hacks are not new. Ever since the first centralized service was built on top of bitcoin, these hacks have been happening.

Anybody who loses trust in the market because of these things, had not understood what bitcoin is and such people would lose trust for much less.

Bitcoin is, as it has always been, 100% secure. People just need to learn how to use it correctly.

Altcoin blockchains are weak and there are hacks on altcoin blockchains but there is no such hacks or attacks on Bitcoin blockchain historically. It is most important evidence about quality and security of Bitcoin blockchain, and it's helpful to build up stronger belief in Bitcoin in the community from users to investors.

It's right that exchanges, centralized to decentralized, hardware wallets were hacked and compromised but they're services and products built in Bitcoin ecosystem but they're not representatives of Bitcoin blockchain. If they're weak, they must improve their quality and security but with users, they must secure their funds and it's good to know this

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts.

Bitcoin is, as it has always been, 100% secure. People just need to learn how to use it correctly.
This is what they need to understand , unfortunately, not everyone has that kind of understanding. We want people to adopt Bitcoin, yes that's right but we know that many investors still hold their Bitcoin on exchanges because it's more convenient, and some buy hardware wallets thinking they are safer than keeping their funds on exchanges... the real security behind these wallets is quite complicated for them.

So it's not entirely their fault if their wallets get compromised, as they trust the supplier or manufacturer, in this case, we also need the authorities to help by auditing the chips used in hardware wallets to make sure they are not designed to steal Bitcoin, there should be strict regulations on that because even if Bitcoin itself cannot be destroyed, the services and devices around it (wallets, exchanges) can still be compromised, and that will cause other people to lose confidence, so although Bitcoin will remain, adoption will slow down.

There was a topic I brought to this forum about quantum fear: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5598166.msg67286946#msg67286946
Some will say we overreact on QC, but for me, I believe it's really a threat.

There's no QC capable of breaking Bitcoin yet but this series of attacks has been alarming already.
We think so, too think in overstate... in the fact that the threat is now so great that Binance tragically lost $6.3 B as a result of the hack, this is the beginning of anxiety in addition to other hacks including those revealed recently by ZachXBT.

Several financial institutions conduct consortia for the security of bitcoin... it's obviously rare that they take to his forward anticipation.

Quantum computers can be very dangerous, if they already are.

But for them to sell at the current price, looks stupid honestly.
Of course they have financial advisors on the subject of sales, but if it is not a loss in the initial purchase may not be a big problem for the company.

Next technology holding are they really aware that quantum computers are not only after crypto. They are after everything that is encrypted like banking apps, government and military secrets, our identity, and certificates.

Therefore, next technology holding are not the only one in this quantum computers threat facing everyone. This is a general problem for everyone and we can't give up in our Bitcoin holdings because of quantum computers threat
