Did you make money from trading this year?
Nope, and I don't think that I will TBH. We don't know though.
I've lost money in the first half of the year and since then, I stopped trading already for personal reasons that affected me financially, and I haven't had any spare funds for trading. It's just this month that I got some spare money where I can use it for trading, and I'm making small profits currently. Not life-changing money though, but I see progress.

I don't think that I can make it to breakeven until the end of the year though or at least make some profits.

What lessons did you learn from trading that you do not want to make next year? What are your advice to newbie traders?
Let me just keep this short and simple as it is.
I've said this in the past with other users here, but TBH, it really is hard to implement it to myself.
Self-awareness.
Being aware of the emotions that you have while you're trading really could affect your decision-making. Unfortunately there are times where I'm not aware and because of that, I'm making some trades that are way beyond the intended risk that I usually put. Learning how to be self-aware even more of my emotions is my primary goal throughout the end of the year and possibly next year. I know that I have some of the good traits already. Being patient, knowing how to manage risk, and some more. Being disciplined and self-aware is the 2 that I haven't fully master.
Advice to newbie traders? Expect to lose on your first deposit, and second deposit, and maybe on your third deposit because that's how trading is. What matters is the experience that you gain and the knowledge that you get while trading. Trading is hard, but it's not impossible to become successful.
