If not that the military has battered their power and authority and principles for their own personal gain

I firmly believe there should be a coup if the 2027 election is rigged.

The masses are really suffering and there’s nothing democratic about our country anymore. Those in power are exchanging national interest for their greed.  The next 4 years will be hell if something very drastic is not done.

I know a few people in power who without proper communication are promising their people and communities help and collecting their details and information without informing them their details are being used to register them as APC members. I was one of them because when they brought the paper to me (imagine being an APC party member without being aware )I had to reject it because I wasn’t informed my details were being used to register for such.

This is to show us that the winner of 2027 election is already predetermined and only a higher power like a visionary military officials can snatch us from the clutches of wicked leaders. Just take Burkina Faso for example.

Yes sure. We need a better leader. As it stands now, democracy has done us more harm than good. Another imported style of power and we still don't understand and know how actually it really works.

Burkina Faso can be used as an example of how the military can take power. But in Nigerians case, it is very difficult. The way ASO ROCK was built, it was built with the intention to stop any coup. As of now, the power is in the power. We should be the once doing the chasing out of this leaders.

Are you saying that Aso rock is fully proofed even White House is not 100 percent safe. There are things that can be done.

What do you think the masses can do? Because I strongly believe a peaceful protest will be a waste of time and maybe life.

It's just sad with the way the new democracy under president Bola Admed Tinubu is going on in this country, whereby oppositions no not have any right anymore to campaign and work freely on the streets of Nigerian without been harassed by this present government. And the worst part about APC members is that they are all supporting Tinubu because of their own selfish interests, and not the fact that the president can do anything or implement any policy that will offer solution to the present hardship that is affecting millions in the end country. Because I will prefer a military government compared to what we have in this country, because at least people will be scared to embezzle public funds.

Democracy has not done anything to you. Your leaders are the ones who have done things to you. How do you people think democracy works? Do you think simply because we practice a democracy, everybody would just decide to follow the rules? When has any set of human beings followed the rules on their own without any supervision? Democracy only works if the people who are in the country make it work. The people and the media are the ones supposed to hold leaders accountable.

In Nigeria, we don't care what our leaders do. We don't hold them responsible. For example, we are buying fuel for around 1500 per liter, and we are all okay. Nobody is protesting, nobody is on strike. Everything is still going on as normal. Instead, you have people who are still supporting these same politicians. So how do you expect democracy to work? The countries you speak of that we imported democracy from are they as bad as Nigeria?

We are here talking about a military regime. What kind of people are Nigerians even? What happened to our brains? Can't we think for God's sake? If civilians, with courts and constitutions, still do this to us, how much more do you think the military will be? Or do you think the military will be good simply because they are good people?

When I talked of military I specifically mentioned vision driven and not just a mere coup. Majority of countries that practice democracy are not entirely free too even the US.

As a citizen how do you hold the government accountable? By going on the street to strike and being shot at?
Of a call is made today, will you stand firm at the frontline of a protest knowing you will die and it will not be heroic rather you may be termed a terrorist?

The democratic system is already very rotten and things have gotten so bad that only a higher power like the military for example, can be  able to reclaim. Even if people with good intentions are elected by chance they will be suffocated by the political cartels with true power.

Only a monster can tame another monster.

You've been contradicting yourself all along. After saying the leaders are the ones who have done things to the people, you still go ahead to blame the people for the things that have gone wrong.

Protest is a terrible advice. The last time Nigerians came out to protest, how did it end? No one should lose their life for the sake of protesting.

The military's have the right to make this country a better place but they have been bribed. That's not all, the fear of getting snitched on by fellow military's people is the fear.

Statistically analysing the achievement made in Nigeria sunce the existence of Nigeria you will realise that all good things came in during the military reign and not this fabricated democratic system of government we find ourselves in today.  As for achievement in Nigeria i will boldly say all the refineries,  federal road networks and other infrastructural activities where established during military reign, all we have gotten from the corrupt leaders of this democratic government is stealing and creation of problem in the country.
On that i will also say a coup should take place so Nigeria we get back to normal after all other countries like Burkina Faso are enjoying their best government under the military reign. If this is done in Nigeria I am sure all this nonsense stealing and corruption will not be in existence and Nigeria will get back to its initial states.

No, I am not contradicting myself. In Nigeria, we don't know that it is the responsibility of the people to make sure the politicians and other appointed leaders do their job right. That is how democracy works. Democracy does not work on its own. It needs the whole system to function. If the people don't keep the politicians on their toes, then the politicians will do whatever they like. I need you people to study the systems of other countries and see the pressure that voters put on their politicians. They can't get away with whatever they want. You cannot come out one time to protest and then think things will change, and it's not just about protest. How many people hold their local government chairmen responsible? How many people hold their House of Assembly members accountable? We just allow politicians to do whatever they want and then blame democracy.
The military's have the right to make this country a better place but they have been bribed. That's not all, the fear of getting snitched on by fellow military's people is the fear.
The military will not take this country to any better place. You people need to stop thinking people will do things out of their good hearts. People do good when given power because there is a system that checks them. If that system is not there, they will do whatever they want.

Everyone will have their own personal view about the government and the entire political landsscrap, those that are in government will want to ororeztheir interest by protecting and speaking good about the government.

While the other set of people are wailing and calling government out because they interest in marginalized.

The big question now is who are the citizens and what did they want and how to get it?

Practically, democracy is the best system of government for a country like Nigeria. I don't pray for anyone to witness the military regime. The Nigerian military is corrupt, just like the government in the country. Instead of giving power to people with amunitions, weapons, will rather stick to democracy forever. Our grandparents, who witnessed the military regime, knew what they suffered, and it is not their wish for us to suffer that way. We should be moving forward instead of going backward.

I don't trust our Nigerian soldiers because all what they are after is money and that have already shown from them, burkina Faso are currently doing well just because they have a very good leader. We should start praying for a very good leader, they may appear in democracy or a military or any form of leadership. If we adopt Sharia law we will all be enjoying in this country because it will put an end to immunity that our leaders are singing, which is making them to commit more crime while they are in office. This immunity is seriously giving them so much confidence to do things they want even though it's against the constitution which is why many of us the citizen are not seeing anything and we can question them because of the power.
