Due to the fluctuation of Bitcoin price most investors who are holding their Bitcoin are scared of losing their entire Bitcoin because of the frequent changes of Bitcoin price recently, some investors are panic of selling all their Bitcoin because they don't want to lose everything.

So what are your advice to those long-term investors?
Should they sell their Bitcoin or they should keep holding to it despite the unstable state of Bitcoin price recently?
I don't know if you have a proof that most investors that are holding Bitcoin are scared due to price fluctuations, perhaps that price will crash and they will lose everything, if that were a fact I don't think that Bitcoin will gain such massive adoption today. What long term investors should do when Bitcoin price is dropping is to continue holding, there must be a reason why they decided to hold for long term and they should mantain such mindset. If you sell when price drops you will be at a loss, since Bitcoin have shown that it can always bounce back from dip I think that is a good reason to continue holding, even when it reaches ATH it will still dip again because it is a volatile asset.

Selling Bitcoin due to the drop in price doesn't help every investor who's truly a long-term investor, i believe doing nothing, or buying more if you have spare capital it always the best thing to do due to how BTC has always been volatile. Besides, there's the moment when we’ve seen 70–80%+ drawdowns in the price of BTC multiple times in the past, and the price eventually recovered and went higher to create a new ATH price.
The people who sold in panic during drops are always the ones who end up losing money, while those who held or accumulated the dip make more profit.
Sometimes holding without a target for a stop loss is a foolish thing.
Stop loss is only applicable to Bitcoin traders, but setting firm boundaries/holding time span and sometime exits when the reason for holding is broken is for long term investors.

So selling during a decline can sometimes also be a good move to reduce losses.
Selling during a market price decline is never a good move to reduce losses for anyone (if emergency needs are not involved) if we're talking about BTC investment unless you're talking about a shitcoin.

But indeed there are many types of traders.
Now, I understand you. The discussion is about longterm investors.

The unstable market is it's nature.

Selling should not be a part of an option for any investor. Why sell at loss? To save your self of what is already gone? This is why before you put even a dime into the market, you should first be cautious of the risk that it's involved.

You should stick to your investment plan and avoid selling your coins in loss because of fear or impatience. The bitcoin market is the only market that I can guarantee you a recovery from any dip now or in the future. You just need to be patient.

Exactly! As you put more focus on the chart, there is a high chance of you overthinking and panicking. However, if you are a long term investor, in my honest opinion, we really need to know how to go about the current situation where the price of BTC is experiencing huge fluctuations. we should capitalize on this situation and buy while the price is low.

In matters investment, we should only invest excess cash which we could lose. we should also ensure that we separate our savings from our investments. You all need to be informed that Investing in crypto is not for the faint-hearted.
Investors who focus on their strategy and have good minds never have enough panic and check charts regularly because they always feel comfortable and also have good awareness about Bitcoin's potential, which will give them a good return. In the long run, Bitcoin volatility always stays with it, and it also has the impact of geopolitics, so price can decline, which surely has threats for investors. Those always have their savings and also never face problems and never do anything that could be increase problems because they always have enough to focus on instead of checking charts and having things, which increase stress for them. It's never been part of investment to focus on charts and panic.

It's only if you sell your bitcoin that you're at loss but if you don't sell when the price is low, you are not at loss because 1btc=1btc. Don't worry about the dip because the price will surely bounce back which is where you are to continue to hodli overtime till when the price has reached your price target to sell. Don't panic because it will lead to wrong decisions that will make you regret. Just hodli and if possible, buy more if you have extra funds.
It is pretty much ok for the price to dip or fluctuate downward, every long term investor have purpose of holding or accumulating bitcoin and if there is a drop and you are emotionally driven by the the circumstances, what to do is to ignore such emotions and put your mind in something else, Bitcoin have let's say higher chances of bouncing back even though we can't be 100 percent guarantee or sure. For Bitcoin, i rather not sell in panic because the price drops instead I will keep holding on to see the worst that could happen.

I once introduced someone to Bitcoin because they were interested in having an asset that serves as a hedge against inflation. I never knew that I was making a mistake. They kept monitoring the market every day and always called me because the price dropped. Out of fear, they would inform me that the price had dropped and ask me what the reason for that was. I was not sure they were paying attention when I was telling them how Bitcoin's price reacts to global happenings.

Newbies are always prone to FUD, and they can sell off their coin prematurely. Based on the history of Bitcoin's price movement, one can conclude that Bitcoin will definitely recover. There have always been bear seasons and bull markets.

For an investor to be a long term investor, he already understands what he is into and how bitcoin fluctuates, the price will always go down and rise back up again and even rise higher than the price it was before it dropped. It is not possible for price to drop until you lose everything entirely. The best advice that can be given to an investor during this phase, is to keep holding and don’t panic, when you panic and sell, that when you’ve even lost some money because at that time, you might be selling below your purchase price. Having emotional control is one of the best thing any investor can do to him self because it helps you remain focused.

Grow patience, what makes you a long-term investor is your ability to hold while others are selling.

Continue holding, Bitcoin has the potential to do very well in the long run. Anyone doubting can sell, and give the market time, when investors who didn't sell will be celebrating their profits. Four years ago, Bitcoin never made an all-time high of $126K, now we are up there, and in the future, we will also make a new all-time high price, only investors who hold for the long term will benefit from the market.
When we forget that bitcoin is a long time investment and sell prematurely half way because there was a decline in price of bitcoin those who sold there bitcoin accumulation half way might regret the action they took in the future. Investing in bitcoin you have to be patient and hold for long as long as you are investing with your discretionary income you wont issues, If we checked at the history of bitcoin the price appreciate in value as the year is going, although there will be some decline along the way but after decline what follows up is recovering, an asset like bitcoin don't only go in one direction, when it dip it also increase so the only way to win is to be patient and hold for long time.

I’ve also been in your shoes, trying to help by introducing Bitcoin to my closest friends, because i’m convinced of Bitcoin long term growth potential. I have also explained some basics about Bitcoin itself, such as why it was created, its benefits and the reasons why so many people are interested in adopting it and the conviction that more people and institutions will adopt it in the coming years. but instead of understanding and learning more about Bitcoin, they focused solely on its price, every time there was a drop, they’d spam the chat, even though i’d already explained to focus on the long term. They just wanted quick profits, instead of becoming an investor, they ended up becoming a trader.

Since then, i no longer want to teach or even simply recommend Bitcoin to friends or family, not because i’m mean or stingy with knowledge, but sometimes choosing to remain silent and act indifferent is actually the better option.

The kind of questions I see about Bitcoin and holding Bitcoin are funny. OP the entire subjects contradict one another. First of all, let's start with where you said long term investors. If you are holding Bitcoin for long term, I believe you are doing it for long time, the duration is subjective but we are not talking nothing less than 5 years. This year in Bitcoin is long that many things will happen that you may not have memories of some.  So asking what to do is even pointless.

If you have make conclusions that you are holding Bitcoin for long term, I believed you have emotionally aghred to deal with what comes to the market and you are fully prepared for what comes after. I can tell you that I was ready for anything but I don't think we will have so many losses to hack, 2026 is one of the worst hack experience I have seen so far. This doesn't in any ways changes the primary reason, hold and find something doing, stop looking at chart.

Buying bitcoin is the safest way for long-term investors to increase their portfolios and there is nothing to do but buy and hold.

This decline is temporary when long-term goals have been set so I think all those who are in the long term certainly know that when a temporary decline occurs this is their opportunity to continue to increase their assets by buying bitcoin if they still have money they can spend.
Most investors who are in the long term will not be afraid of volatility and temporary declines that occur because that is precisely the opportunity they are waiting for so in this case I think you are wrong in interpreting that long-term investors will panic about it unless they are beginners or those who only participate in bitcoin fomo maybe that I can understand when they are worried about the decline that occurs.

If they are panicking when the price of bitcoin drops then they can't be a long term investors, they are nothing but a weak hands who buy high and sells low and in some case they keep doing it and losing their money.

You can't control the price of bitcoin, you can control your emotions and ideally what we have to do when the price drops is, Buy more...

It's quite understandable to sell Bitcoin when the market is going through a dip but such reaction is actually from someone that's still new to Bitcoin or has no emotional control. New Investors might panic when the market goes through slight changes but that doesn't mean that it's the right way to react to the market, the best thing to do at that point is to buy the dip and keep hodling.

There's nothing stable about the crypto market, the market is always bound to go through changes because that's what it's all about, the dynamics of the crypto market is unstable. If you have a goal as a long term investor you would have to continue holding your bitcoin investment.
