1. What is Boing Network?Boing Network is an independent Layer 1 blockchain built around one idea:
applications should meet transparent quality standards enforced by the protocol itself. On most chains, anyone can deploy anything. Spotting deceptive, malicious or low-quality deployments is left to users, third-party tools and reports made after the damage is done. Boing moves that screening into the deployment process through the
Boing Quality Gate.
Core principles:- Independent Layer 1 architecture
- Protocol-level deployment quality checks
- Transparent, observable network activity
- Open participation for developers, node operators and validators
- An integrated wallet, explorer and DeFi ecosystem
2. The Team & BackgroundBoing Network is not a quick EVM fork or a cash-grab; it is an independent Layer 1 built from first principles by engineers focused on sustainable, high-quality Web3 infrastructure.
The project is led by
Nico Chikuji, a Full-Stack Web3 Developer with a strong focus on AI-native workflows, Rust architecture, and building products designed for long-term user retention. The core protocol utilizes advanced cryptography (BLAKE3, Ed25519) and HotStuff BFT consensus, reflecting a highly technical, engineering-first approach to blockchain design rather than relying on third-party frameworks.

3. The Boing Quality GateThe Quality Gate evaluates deployments against published criteria before they are accepted onto the ledger. Every deployment gets one of three outcomes:
- ALLOW: the deployment meets the applicable requirements
- REJECT: the deployment fails the applicable requirements
- UNSURE: automated checks cannot confidently decide, so the case goes to community review
Why it matters:- Transparent, published deployment criteria
- Visible quality-assurance decisions (viewable in the explorer)
- One consistent screening process for every deployment
- A framework built to reduce deceptive and malicious deployments
Status: the automated checks and the published rule registry are
live on testnet. The community review pool for edge cases is
still in development.
The Quality Gate is designed to reduce risk. It cannot guarantee that every application is safe.
4. Technology and architectureBoing has its own protocol, execution environment and account model.
- Blockchain: Independent Layer 1
- Implementation: Rust
- Consensus: Proof of Stake + HotStuff BFT
- Hashing: BLAKE3
- Signatures: Ed25519
- Execution: Native Boing VM
- Addresses: 32-byte hexadecimal identifiers
- EVM compatibility: none
- Target block time: about 2 seconds when transactions are pending
Developers can connect through the public JSON-RPC interface and the TypeScript SDK.
5. The Boing ecosystemThree connected applications make up the user-facing experience, all sharing one official community.
Boing Express (wallet) -
boing.express- Non-custodial web wallet and Chrome extension
- Testnet BOING balance management, sending and receiving
- Gateway to apps in the Boing ecosystem
Boing Observer (explorer) -
boing.observer- Blocks, transactions, accounts and network activity
- Quality Gate information and decisions
- On-chain application info and the native DEX directory
Boing Finance (DeFi) -
boing.finance- Native DEX, token swaps and liquidity pools
- Portfolio and NFT functionality(coming soon)
- Cross-chain liquidity integrations (still evolving)
Native Boing DeFi functionality is available on testnet. Broader cross-chain liquidity routing is still in development.

Testnet tokens have no guaranteed monetary value and do not represent a guaranteed mainnet allocation or airdrop.
7. For buildersThe project provides a Rust core implementation, public RPC, documentation and a TypeScript SDK.
npm install @boing-network/boing-sdk
Discord builder channels: #sdk, #node, #rpc, #smart-contracts, #templates, #builders
When reporting a problem, please include the RPC URL, block height, transaction ID or error output so it can be reproduced.
8. BOING token and tokenomicsBOING is the native asset of Boing Network. The currently published design describes a sustainable, mathematically predictable supply model designed to secure the network long-term.
Initial Allocation (Draft, subject to change before mainnet):| Category | Allocation | Purpose |
| Staking Rewards | 55% | Ongoing emissions and genesis allocation for network security |
| Treasury | 30% | Protocol-owned liquidity and development |
| Community & Grants | 15% | Ecosystem growth and builder incentives |
Why an uncapped supply? (The Inflation Model)Unlike hard-capped tokens where validator security eventually drops to zero unless transaction fees are incredibly high, Boing uses a
declining tail-emission model. This ensures long-term network security and validator sustainability regardless of network congestion.
Emission Schedule (Block Rewards):- Year 1: ~8% (Proposed)
- Year 2: ~6% (Proposed)
- Year 3–5: ~4.5% → ~2.5% (Proposed)
- Year 6–10: ~2% → ~1.5% (Proposed)
- Year 10+: 1% floor or 0% if fees suffice (Proposed)
Projected Supply Over Time (Based on 1B Genesis):| End of Year | Approximate Total Supply |
| Year 1 | 1.056 Billion |
| Year 5 | 1.208 Billion |
| Year 10 | 1.300 Billion |
| Year 15 (near floor) | ~1.342 Billion |
The design also describes a proposed fee split of 80% to validators and 20% to the treasury.
No TGE date or mainnet date has been announced. See the
documentation for the latest.
9. Status and roadmapLive on public testnet:- Public RPC and faucet
- Quality Gate deployment checks and published rule registry
- Boing Express wallet and Boing Observer explorer
- Node, CLI and SDK tooling
In development:- Community review pool for uncertain deployments
- Validator set growth and production hardening
- Broader cross-chain liquidity routes
- A future incentivized testnet program
Required before mainnet:- Independent security audits
- Genesis and validator readiness
- Finalized slashing and appeals processes
