Even though Bitcoin is going to be needed in the future there is absolutely no guarantee of this. Don't buy Bitcoin with the hope of becoming financially stable in 2035, even though there is a high chance of this happening it is better to avoiding getting your expectations high because no one can really predict what the future holds. Nine years from now is actually long and anything can happen within this space of time.

A lot can happen in 9 to 10 years, some people end up dying in the process of waiting for their investment to grow, having knowledge or knowing how to predict the market doesn't mean that you can tell what happens in the future.

Aside the fact that there are many holders that were victims to the hacks that have been happening and some of them have lost their coins forever, there are also those that have been holding there coins and are not victim those incidents, they have protected their coin very well in the best way they can and it has helped them stay away from hackers reach. We can not be 100% sure of what will happen in the future but I have hope that these hacking will not continue till the next 9n years, not that it can be permanently stopped but we know that it's this AI era that is helping hackers to quickly crack codes, discover vulnerability and use it against the company but sooner the company will also have such good backup that will be stronger.

Sometimes I sit back and wonder about the future of bitcoin.

Over the years, crypto has created opportunities for people to invest, trade and move money across borders. But at the same time, we’ve continued to hear stories of hacked wallets, stolen funds, scams, fraudulent platforms and market crashes. Even major platforms like Binance have experienced security breaches and big whales manipulating prices. Incidents like these make me wonder how safe our funds really are, especially for ordinary people who trust crypto with their hard earned money.

It makes me wonder, What will the crypto space look like in the next nine years?
It will only get stronger. AI has helped hackers, but it has also helped developers maintain all these platforms. With the help of AI, many white hat hackers, BTC developers, other project developers, and independent developers are now finding vulnerabilities in crypto projects and patching them. An issue found once can't be exploited twice, that means a platform is only getting stronger with time and with more vulnerabilities.

Most of the time, the problem is not the code, it's the people. For example, the recent Binance hack occurred because of a mistake a developer made (probably). But a developer should not have access to all that money, so it was a single point of failure on Binance's end, but in the future, they will patch it.

Don't worry about Bitcoin. It gives you freedom. The thing is, banks also freeze your money and control you if you do something good and they find it against the current government.

In 2022, there was a Canadian Freedom Convoy, and Ottawa invoked the Emergency Act and told banks to freeze the accounts of all the protesters. There was no warrant, no court order, just a directive. 206 bank accounts were frozen, and they even froze the bank account of a single mum who just donated $50.
https://www.theweek.in/news/world/2022/02/21/financial-crackdown-on-freedom-convoy-protesters-canada.html

In 2013, the Bank of Cyprus confiscated savings of those whose deposits were uninsured and that were over €100,000. They converted the funds into bank shares to recapitalize the Bank of Cyprus. So people don't just lose money trading, they lose it by trusting banks too.
https://archive.cyprus-mail.com/?p=23638

Iranian banks
during the war last year, I can't forget that. The situation there must be disastrous. Every country that the US has hit has been affected, their local currency lost value.

The Chokepoint 2.0, back in 2022, when JPMorgan closed the personal accounts of Uniswap's founder without any reason.

I can list more than 10 more incidents where banks have frozen funds and made things so much harder. A recent one is this:
The international offshoot of Yianis Varoufakis' Greek political party, Diem25, got its bank account shut down, reportedly without explanation.

It's just we don't care about banks until they do the same to us.

Will people still have the same confidence in cryptocurrency, or will these security challenges gradually push people away?
I know no financial system is completely free from risk, but I believe trust and security are very important for any financial system to survive.

Personally, I think it’s worth having this conversation.

First of all I think this talk is quite broad not only bitcoin so the alternative can be moved to boar economy or altcoins.

From what we have experienced so far with a relatively unpredictable market with a lot of theft or hacking and so on in this industry, it must make many people doubt, and this is where the mistake of many people who entrust all their money in crypto, the results of the hard work done eventually disappear because they do not mitigate the risks that may occur, and therefore diversification is the best choice, you have savings in bitcoin as your long-term plan with the assumption that a much better future with blockchain on the other hand also you do not close your eyes that the risk on the infrastructure you use is experiencing a stir that causes money to be lost.

This security challenge is one of the best ways for all developers to improve their systems so that it doesn't happen again, every time there is an error there is a solution for improvement, and I think we will be much better in the future talking about security as developers find solutions to all the failures that have ever occurred.

I don't know anymore what will happen to this world 9 years from now on. Years ago I would say Bitcoin would be quite relevant in 2035, but since AI has started being developed so fast, nothing is guaranteed anymore.

We are going to see progress which would take decades to happen being executed in few months.

The tendency is that everything evolves and changes really fast from now on, and as consequence, there will be an impact over financial world as well, so it's not possible to predict what is going to be Bitcoin's role on this story.

Based on things you are talking about, your concern is more about the mediums through which cryptocurrencies are either used or held and not cryptocurrencies themselves. If people are losing money in hacks or exploits, that doesn't mean it is happening because of Bitcoin, but it is happening because of the platforms they are using or wallets, and as we always say, the security of your funds or assets is always in your own hands, and it depends on how you keep them whether they are going to be safe or not. No vulnerability or anything can make you lose your funds if you take extra precautions and use every security option you have, and I'm saying this because those who lost money in the coldcard incident could also be safe if they had used passphrases with their wallets.

So, we can't really say that such incidents will not happen in the future, because hackers and exploiters will always do their best to try and achieve success somehow and from somewhere, but if people also start taking the security of their assets more seriously, I think they will do better, and they wouldn't need to get away from cryptocurrencies but learn to secure their assets so that hackers don't get to them.

I don't think but I'm 100% sure that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be even more relevant in 2035 and beyond that.

The recent one you shared is not recent anymore. The recent one is now this:
Paraguay's central bank has taken control of Ueno Bank following serious insolvency issues.

Approximately 2.94 million customers, around 63% of Paraguay's adult population, have lost access to their money.

This is really frustrating, bro. I did not know about all the events you mentioned, but bro, we all know banks can control us easily if they freeze our money, credit cards, and all that. Now, one of the reasons they are promoting the credit card system is because they can control us. First, they will make us addicted to money that we can use beyond our means, then we will be left in a state where they can freeze it all.

See that's why I say when I say that people invest at their own risk, because those who deposit money on exchanges are complete fools. As far as we have seen, hacking has happened many times, it is not new today, so you have to learn to deal with this situation and be patient. People who are not patient will not be able to sustain their Bitcoin investment, so it is best to deposit money in a wallet instead of depositing money on exchanges.
And there are hardware wallets and among software wallets there are many security-complete wallets where you can store your future troubles. Only by keeping the wallet's seed phrase safe will your wallet keep your assets safe for a long time

This is a phase that the crypto space will continue to face from time to time, but what's certain is that it won't stop countries and millions of investors from turning their bank into Bitcoin in 2035 or any other future year.

The fact is that Bitcoin has come to stay, and it is not going anywhere anytime soon. It is now up to crypto exchanges, individuals, private firms, and countries that hodl Bitcoin for the long term to take their security seriously so that they won't be victims of a hack

Things really happen so fast without us even having the idea or the picture of how somethings took over other things that was in control earlier. We don’t actually have the idea of what would happen in the next coming years and we don’t know if any new developments would happen that might want to or would eventually take over this bitcoin or outshine it. But there is strong belief that bitcoin will do more great in the future because with this history so far bitcoin have showed a progressive growth and positive momentum so I believe this would go on even in the future.

Do you think Bank will survive in that future? Because there is riots in few countries now, one country was taken over by hackers although not completely but they are starving since they don't have access to food storage.

The other one is in chaos because the people don't have access to their bank account anymore, the bank they trusted so much just went bankrupt lol.

Can Bitcoin go bankruptcy? Never, this is what people gets when they trust Centralisation, you are simply giving up your money to be used by the banks, enriching themselves.

The Bank is in Paraguay, 3 million people have no access to their money anymore.

I hope you do know nobody can really tell about this
Just speculations.
As long as there are people in need of a money that exist or can be used without a central body
Then yeah the possibility of it being alive then is high.
It would take something huge to really affect Bitcoin with how big it is

I think you are confused in here.  When a person invest in Bitcoin, and then put it on an exchange and store it there instead of the non-custodial wallet, there are two trust created on that action.  One is the trust on the Bitcoin market believing that he will gain profit and the other one is trust on the exchange that his Bitcoin is safe.  When the exchange is hacked, it is not the fault of the Bitcoin network but rather the fault of the centralized exchange, so it is wrong to say that trusting an exchange is like trusting Bitcoin.

You can blame the exchange when it gets hacked, but you can never blame the Bitcoin network for it.  After all, it's a lapse in the exchange's security that gets hacked, not a Bitcoin security issue.

The crypto space will continue to proliferate and develop.  Developers are working non-stop to develop cryptocurrency features that will advance and evolve financial industry.

This is part of the risk that comes with investing online mainly when it has to do with Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies, this challenges are normal and will not stop or change how Bitcoin will be or it's worth in 2035, all you have to do is to adopt necessary security measures to avoid your wallet from hacking, there is nothing new happening, this is not and cannot be the first time and hacking will not stop.

Bitcoin will forever be relevant because the main Bitcoin Blockchain has not being successfully hacked because the network is unbroken.and it relies on cryptographic and decentralized concensuship, because Bitcoin transactions cannot be easily altered by any hacker since to successfully hack it's past transactions will take  about 51%-60% attack by the hackers which they cannot find easy to achieve.

Most crypto hacks has to do with centralized exchanges/ customers/individual users due to their failure to protect and secure their seed phrase or wallet passwords  in their custody not Bitcoin conducts or ways .

Look, if you want to invest in Bitcoin, you have to think about all aspects, it is normal, but as a result of this Bitcoin investment, you will be able to succeed economically in the future, it is normal, in addition to this, you will be protected from inflation. Bitcoin will provide you with more benefits than difficulties, if you enter Bitcoin once, you will definitely get proof of this.
Because as we move towards the future, the more we see the love for Bitcoin, people have entered more and more investments because of the good future of Bitcoin. At the moment, Bitcoin is at a higher level and the price will increase, because the market situation can turn around from today. There is nothing impossible to say about it. However, at the beginning of 2027, the price of Bitcoin will again rise again. Before 2035, I think the price of Bitcoin will be more than five hundred thousand dollars.

You are as if only in a bad crypto world... even in traditional banking was much worse as it is now the case against banks in Paraguay, fraud and some kind of theft, robbery in real it was there even much terrible.

Your funds will be safe as long as you keep at least a non-custodial wallet, as a beginner, you don't panic too much.

Do not trust Ledger/Coldcard hardware companies as a repository for your assets.
Do not entrust your money to the exchange, it is risky.

There are still many wallets that are safe and not compromised, keep seed phrase well as safe as possible.

It makes me wonder, What will the crypto space look like in the next nine years?
Have you thought far into the year 2035?
Bitcoin is going high. Smiley

Will people still have the same confidence in cryptocurrency, or will these security challenges gradually push people away?
I know no financial system is completely free from risk, but I believe trust and security are very important for any financial system to survive.
Trust in crypto is still high, about security challenges then this needs to be tested again, some wallets and exchanges will continue to improve security, including your own how to keep it.

Based on chain analysis, the entire binance hack coin bitcoin make up for almost 80% of the entire stolen money from that exchange, but still, the hack is not about bitcoin and don't have deep impact on bitcoin as the entire wallet was reimbursed to make up for what was stolen.

In 2035 bitcoin will still be very relevant and in place nothing will change the fact that bitcoin is resistance in nature and that is bitcoin core values that make bitcoin hedge against external actions.

I know no financial system is completely free from risk, but I believe trust and security are very important for any financial system to survive.

Perhaps a small number of people will leave due to their limited understanding & over-reliance on centralized systems, while those who grasp the technology will remain. In crypto, we are the ones who are supposed to create security & trust for the assets we hold. That is why we have one saying Not your keys, not your coins.

So, stop turning all of this into a drama, all those CEXs & their failures are not truly a part of us.

Hackers will try to convert hacked coins and tokens to cryptocurrencies which are strongest, biggest in values, prices and impossible to be frozen remotely. With this risk management from hackers, Bitcoin blockchain and bitcoin will be most favorite choices of hackers.

Stable coins can be frozen, tokens can be frozen by smart contracts, by issuers, and by pressure of regulations from governments but bitcoin won't be frozen by anyone remotely if they're stored in non custodial wallets.

This possibility of hacker action causes uncertainty in the market and fear that if hackers convert stolen funds to bitcoins, they will wait for time and opportunity to dump those bitcoins on Bitcoin market.

Why 2035?

Next Bitcoin halving is in 2028, next ones after that is in 2032 and 2036 years, not 2035. Bitcoin market cycle is very correlated with Bitcoin halvings and any speculation needs to take Bitcoin halving year into account.
