Personally, the strategy I have profited from most is swing trading. The longer the position that I have, the more stress it has most of the time ^{(if the market doesn't go its way)}, and the more profit. A longer timeframe is also a good trading view to make sure that you would swing.

No matter the trade, the most important thing is proper position sizing and a percentage stop loss. Trading should have risk management.

From personal experience, swing trading is the most profitable. Traders who practice swing trading use market sentiment to trade. It will require a long chain of events for a trader to hold a position for months or years.

It can be both, depending on the term the trader understands. I've known the term to be position holding, since it requires a trader to hold a position for a given time. Perhaps the act of holding positions in trading is called position trading.

I prefer day trading rather than holding a position for days, week or even months but I have a friend so leaves his position open for over months and for the few times I have seen his trades, he's alway in profits and I just think those those of types would require alot of patience and I don't think regular traders would have such patience

I take positions mostly but it all depends on the context really. Sometimes if i believe I can make good money in a very short time frame, i can make speculative very quick trades too. I usually do these during big events like elections. For example after Trump lost mid elections in the US,  tech stocks lost quite a value, I believed that was temporary and bought the dip and they recovered quite fast. That was easy money for me but I don't do this all the time. Just occasionally.

I mostly love day trading that will enable me close my trades before going to bed and no have open positions that will be distracting me from trading. However, if that is not among the options, then it is swing trading for me over position trading. I do not have the patience to wait for months for my trade when it is not my long term investment which I'm holding and don't really care about what the price is saying.

For someone who finds it difficult to follow and rightly predict every short-terrm movement, position trading has always been my choice trading pattern. But that doesn't mean I don't give a try on swing trading when I'm free from schedules and see a strong signal to trade with.

Maybe one day, I'll learn how to trade swing oftenly but for now, I'm sticking to position trading that offers me peace and profit with ease.

No, swing trading didn't worked for me. So, the closest and more effective one to me is with the position trading.

It is with the assumption that if we trade, we have to profit as soon as possible. But that's the misconception of many of us did, trading can be quick, slow, and can take time.

And so the best trades that we can do is when we're comfortable, not in a hurry and we have a higher chance of profitability.

Don't force yourself into a trade when you're not convenient and confident with. Don't burn your money just because you are a trader, you trade because you want to make money and if it takes a little bit longer than the usual, that's better than losing your money and trade.

In my personal opinion, profitability in trading depends primarily on the trader’s personality and not on the trading style itself, because both types (swing and position trading) can be profitable or losing depending on the trader’s personality and strategy.

The best advice for this type of trading is not to force yourself into any position unless you are completely comfortable and convinced of its viability, trading slowly and safely to achieve long-term gains is far better than rushing for results and risking the loss of your capital.

I tried both well swing trade is good as long as youre focus on the trade or asset youve been traded cause you can simply check if your position doing well. While position trading is almost the same with investing for long term is quite common if you can supress negative on your port and dont panic this is also good. But also depend on the coins or tokens you are trading. Might be a good one or also a lousy one.

I have used two methods in trading. Profitability of trading depends on making good decisions. Among the decisions I have made, I have used swing trading less. I have used position trading more because it is more like a long-term investment. Or it prepares me financially not to sell at a loss. When I have swing trading preparedness, the possibility of fund risk will be higher because the plan is short-term and the possibility of market rise during this period may be less.

Both were profitable for me but position trading was more profitable in comparison. It is better to trade with such amount of fund that the fund is risk tolerant and will not be needed while holding your position.

If you are an expert then you will love for a long time because you know that you have to spend time to earn money, you can earn it every day because you know what the price will do, so you will earn profit by trading. Those who cannot trade and cannot give much time, they have to invest for a long time so that they can avoid losses and wait for their profits with patience. Investing is necessary for you when you are not very successful in trading, first you should trade with some money, if you are not very successful in it, then you should do the same thing. I like to invest for a long time because it will not give me much tension in watching the market again and again.

I think we are on the same page, I haven’t done position trading before but some traders always say positive things about it but the issue for me is that my mind can’t be at rest for this position trading because I will always keep checking my positions time to time and if the market doesn’t go in my manners then I guess I could even stop the entries.
But with swing it more endurable for our position open for some days or weeks, but even that has it own pressure sometimes but it can’t be compared to position trading. I have profited too from swing trading and many times. Both strategies are great strategies and we can make quality results from it.

A smart trader would use both, because trading holding position is a opportunity trade, just like when Bitcoin topped out at 126k, there are people who are still in short since that top and they are in big profit,  this is not a month trading.

It will take Bitcoin going over 125k for them to lose their gains, my best advice is have every useful tools at your disposal, them try finding out the one that works for you.

Position trading is comparatively more profitable or if one invests for a longer period it is more profitable. Many traders use their capital for day trading or weekly trading. I have seen traders who borrow for weekly trading. Sometimes they would make a profit and sometimes they would make a loss.

My goal was to trade for a period of about a month and get back the capital with profit although I am talking about the initial period of trading. But most of the time the market would go through a decline.

Swing trading is a lot like gambling but many traders profit because of the long term attitude and patience in position trading. I still trade this process with funds that are worth of losing.
