Grand Theft Auto 6 is releasing in twelve days from now, on November 17th.
Considering that the setting of the game will be featuring the return of Vice City, inspired entirely by Florida/Miami, I think it is very well possible. I've read some articles published way back in 2021, when rumors started to spread about bitcoin, or some spoof of bitcoin, being integrated into the game somehow. Back in the COVID bullrun, I remember talking heads/headlines denoting Miami as the "crypto capital of the world".
GTA games clasically are known to make fun of/reference American culture, particularly financial elements of it - Wall Street, financial speculation, get rich quick schemes, tech billionaires, and internet culture/memes, just to name a few. For example, I remember GTA V, and the online portion of that game, having it's own stock market that players could interact with - the BAWSAQ. There was also another exchange called the LCN, and banking/financial institutions that let players manipulate markets.
Finally, many GTA games have in-game mobile devices that allow players to call NPCs, play music, pay for things, etc. I could definitely see a world where the players phone has a bitcoin wallet app type of thing goin' on.
When you combine the fact that GTA IV already has ~750 million dollars of revenue generate in just pre-order sales at this time, and the fact that these games absolutely shatter social media algorithms, memespaces, and peoples sleep schedule, this will do absolute nunbers on mass-adoption levels for bitcoin - particularly for millions of fans of the game who are ages 18-34 and unexposed to bitcoin yet.
