I understand that most of us here values to save our bitcoin instead of using it and solve the problem we have, theirs a friend of mine that saved up to $15k that worth of bitcoin and he is having hepatitis disease for long-term and it's unknowingly to him, but it has been showing symptoms in different kind, now it has been diagnosis and it's confirmed hepatitis B. Right now is in the hospital why he has a lot of bitcoin in his wallet that he's suppose to sell and treat himself when the illness has not gotten to this.

Save your life and enjoy your life now that your alive instead of saving your bitcoin why you're battling with illness that can be treated at the early stages, some of us do make this mistake often, we dont take good care of ourselves, knowing that our health is our priority and without good health all our saves are not save

Mostly, people do like to make a large profit in bitcoin long-term  saving, they are the one that always keeps their bitcoin intact even though they dying they will not like to make some sells and solve their problems, for me is bad idea to die in the name of saving your bitcoin why you have were you can take a brief and sort out your illness bill

I don't know why we should value bitcoin more than our life, or could we say, it a stinginess that will make a man to prefer keeping his bitcoin than to use some part of it and take good care of his health or the health of the parents, and siblings when been ill.

We should also know that our saves doesn't belong to us when we leaves the earth, and what we  struggle to saved with 7 years can be misused within 3 months time by your parents, siblings, wife or children.

I don’t think it’s fair that you think of your sick friend this way. He doesn’t value bitcoin more than his life. I’m sure he would have started treatment if he was diagnosed early. Let’s be honest, your friend is no different than many Nigerians who don’t do regular health checks because the country’s healthcare system is horrible. Abi I dey lie, OP, how often do you go for blood works and general health checks? What’s sad about the story is that HPV can be prevented by taking vaccines but there isn’t enough awareness about it.

Blaming bitcoin for someone's life choices is very wrong, after we are supposed to be buying bitcoin with our discretionary income so how then is someone who's holding bitcoin ignoring their health for bitcoin when they are supposed to have taken care of their essentials before buying bitcoin unless your friend never considered his life and health as something essential to them.

There is no reason to push being extravagant and enjoying life, you can take good care of yourself and still be able to purchase bitcoin and the whole point of having backup funds is to make sure you are still able to take care of yourself if things go wrong anything in the future so if you friend decided to buy bitcoin outside of their discretionary income then bitcoin is not the problem here.

From my point of view, a healthy and normal life is the most important thing. There is nothing more important in a person's life than this. People's planning and needs are not the same for everyone. But we must not forget that money is a resource to manage life in a healthy and normal way. I really do not see any reason to save money and resources at the cost of our lives. If money or resources cannot be used properly during our time of danger, then that money and resources have no value to me. We do not know when danger will come to people's lives. We need money and resources for as long as we live on earth, so life security is necessary first and foremost. Bitcoin is a long-term investment. But if we have to sell long-term investments to protect our lives from disasters, then I will definitely do that because the security of my life is the most important thing to me. Every person should first assess their health and financial situation and only then will it be the right decision for that person to invest. If a person does not get his treatment done to protect his investment, then he is definitely doing something stupid and for this stupid decision, that person may have to lose his life. Was your friend able to diagnose his illness in the early stages? Was he reluctant to seek treatment despite the diagnosis? You yourself say that he was not aware of his illness. So how could he spend money on his treatment in advance? You should change your mindset about your friend.

The bigger question is, why would someone sell their Bitcoin for treatment? Every investor should have an emergency fund. If we have an emergency fund, we don't have to reach for Bitcoin funds or be stingy in times of emergency.

I agree with you that we should not wait to die by keeping long-term investment funds, but rather enjoy them. We should not even invest our entire income or a portion of our discretionary income. Rather, it is important to have an emergency fund for emergencies, a reserve fund for purchasing essential goods or entertainment, and cash for incidental expenses.

There's this popular saying, "health is wealth" Anyone that doesn't take their health very seriously will understand the important of that statement when they are ill lying down on the sick bed and can not be able to chase money they way they did when they were health. I can not even imagine that someone will have the amount of money you mentioned in their wallet and can not use part of it to go check their body system and take some treatments if necessary. The important of saving or investing is also to take care of our self with the profit we made and not to hold the coins for ever.

It's very correct that health is wealth cause it takes someone that's alive to and healthy to make and enjoy the wealth made but concerning Bitcoin investment, if someone has an emergency that can solve his or her health issues then there's no need tampering with the investment except it's a life challenging issues that need more funds and the emergency funds saved can't solve it, then the person can sell off, suffer the temporary lose and save him/herself.
