Electrum has released version 4.8.4, as posted on their X, it was said to be another security update.
Based on the GitHub changelog, it fixes a vulnerability related to Lightning Network onion messages: malformed onion messages from any source could cause Electrum to disconnect from its channel peers.
Furthermore, the latest version resolves problems such as the inability to restore specific mnemonic phrases from versions prior to 2. The last Electrum release, 4.8.3, which came out in late October, addressed a critical vulnerability that had been actively exploited.
