There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I like this coin!

Good grief!  Why?  Because you were able to mine a shitload of coins?  Good luck selling them.

The difficulty is now 4, as we can see here:
Code:
{
"blocks" : 10268,
"currentblocksize" : 0,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 4.00000000,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : false,
"genproclimit" : -1,
"hashespersec" : 0,
"networkhashps" : 791407201,
"pooledtx" : 2,
"testnet" : false
}
Clearly the adjustment is different to the usual, but it at least seems we're increasing in difficulty.
People should really stop bitching about this coin, it's yet another coin, we get it, but it's probably at least as good as the last coin you shilled.

** Difficulty Retargets every minute using Dark Gravity Wave V2

yeah right

      int DiffMode = 1;
        if (fTestNet) {
            if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 5) { DiffMode = 3; }
        }
        else {
            if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 34140) { DiffMode = 3; }
            else if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 15200) { DiffMode = 2; }
        }

        if (DiffMode == 1) { return GetNextWorkRequired_V1(pindexLast, pblock); }
        else if (DiffMode == 2) { return GetNextWorkRequired_V2(pindexLast, pblock); }
        else if (DiffMode == 3) { return DarkGravityWave(pindexLast, pblock); }
        return DarkGravityWave(pindexLast, pblock);

Wow the "dev" finally managed to launch this shitcoin.

On the first attempt he didnt even mined the genesis Block.
Seems the Training on the past coins didnt helped him at all.

Have fun wasting your hashes people!

which kernel do i have to use? darkcoin?

Yes, it's darkcoin and don't pay attention to the troll, there was no instamine.

Yes it was instamined, less than 24 hours after launch and this shit is already +10000 blocks, it should only have 1440 blocks mined at most.

You're definitely retarded, better take your "vitamins", I haven't even mined this coin yet because I was too busy last night modifying my miners, so... I like this coin because it's X11. And yes, Darkcoin is an awesome coin but it's far from profitable in mining terms which is why I don't come close to it. So shut up and die.

If anyone would care to read this, I can't help but notice the amount of negativity here.
Now, I have never known a genuine collective of this community to act like this, there's generally a fair mix of differing opinions, negativity never outweighs them all, unless the developer has stolen some form of currency from investors, or some other kind of scam that has victims.

I also can't help but notice that this coin is at least not a generic Scrypt coin.
So my question is, why is this negativity occurring?
It's clearly a collective group of users, or even an individual, not many share the same opinions, they may be paid, they may be doing it of their own free will, the point is, these are all groundless accusations.
Constructive criticism is generally the best answer, this is a smear campaign, I don't know who it's run by, but clearly whoever their hired goons are, they have more than enough free time to insult both a CryptoCurrency, and other users.

Now, if you consider how often posts appear on this thread, bringing it up front, you may realize there may be some truth to my accusations, this thread wouldn't have had the attention of as many without their frequent complaints, nor as many pages.
Please note that this is just an observation, noone has any means to be offended.
Incrimination without proof really should be a crime in itself, this should also be noted, by everyone here.

Hopefully this makes some form of coherent sense, I often type walls of text when tired.

Completely true, but it is also true that is the biggest shadow it has around. I'm quite into Darkcoin and I'm not more invested into it because of that.

I don't really care much about all the hostility going on around here, but since I have a few minutes to spare, I will speak (or better said write) my mind.
I like the algo, and since there are not many coins using it out there, I will mine this coin and hope for the best. If it turns out to be a fail coin, so be it. It's not like that didn't happen before, lol.
So, what I am trying to say here is mine it or leave it. Either way, shut the fuck up. Nobody needs your so called "expertise". I guess that everyone here is capable of making their own decision on whether to coin is worth their time or not.
If someone asks for advice, by all means, do your best to help, but stop escalating every discussion into a full scale flame war.
